Every time I move I'm on the lookout for a go-to place to get a monthly pedicure done. My Flinstone feet get fugly real quick and need regular love. I called Orchid Nails to see if they had any openings for a deluxe pedicure on a Sunday and they said come on down! I hopped in my car and they got me in the chair shortly after walking through the door. Great color selection to choose from. I went with the Deluxe Pedicure for $40 which comes with an aromatic lotion (over 10 choices of smells, I went with Plumeria), oils, scrub, wax, a fresh orange?! So much going on my legs and made them feel amazing! I am prone to ingrowns and did not get amazing attention to the sides of my grand toe nails it was perfectly adequate for a shop I have zero repor with. Sometimes it takes me a few times to find a nail tech who is comfortable digging in deep. One thing that caught me off guard was I really liked how each pedicure spa tub is lined with plastic that is changed out with each customer, but one thing that caught me off guard was getting seated right next to the only other customer in the salon when there was plenty of space to spread out. I understand the techs want to chat and I'm vaccinated so I didn't ask to move, but just be mindful to ask if you'd like more social distancing and I'm sure they'd accommodate. Lastly, they take credit card but prefer cash tips! Definitely had a nice experience, am very happy with my finished toes. read more

Made a day-of appointment for a pedicure. Thankful for their flexibility. Space was clean and pedicure chairs were comfortable and newer looking. The nail tech was quiet but pleasant. Though the quality of the work was extremely poor. Missed cuticle cleaning and trimming. Massage was lackluster and the shortest I've ever experienced. Paint job was awful. Few spots of paint on my skin and heavy at the base of the nail, causing a bumpy texture. Price was $40 for the basic pedicure with regular polish. The session took about 35 minutes from start to finish. I will not go back. read more

My friend and I showed up as a walk in at 12pm on a Saturday and were able to be seen almost immediately. I haven't had my nails done in over 3 years because I tend to mess them up really fast. I wasn't sure about most of the services offered but they walked me through everything and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I got acrylic dipped French tips that were beautifully done. It's been almost a week since I got them done and they are still beautiful! I even dropped an entire frozen chicken on my nails (on accident) and they didn't even get scuffed. 10/10 would definitely come back! read more

First time at this location and the nails are just what I asked for! I'm very happy with how they look and feel. I had services from Andy and he was nice and had an eye for detail. This was a fill that had a ton of chips and a missing nail, but look brand new after the service. Today was my 4th time going to this place. It's close to my house, clean, prices are okay and so far the people are nice. I do like that they have an abundance of cloth towels to use for drying your hands - works way better than paper towels as well as being environmentally friendly. I really like how they display the gel nail colors in books - very organized. Usually I have a good experience and would normally rate a 4-5 star for this place. Today wasn't really one of them; I was quite disappointed. I got a full set of acrylics with a white tip painted on. I kept being pressed for getting the white tip rather than being painted on; I understand that getting the white tip put on before the acrylic is EASIER but I don't know if I want white tips when I get my fill or something completely different. She did say ot would be extra and that it was $10 for it. I did notice she seemed a little miffed that I didnt want the white plastic tip and she hardly spoke to me during the appointment. The thickness of the white tip she painted was great as well as the shape of my nail edges. But I noticed later after the clear coat was being put on that my 2 on my left hand were lopsided (my index and middle; middle finger was significant). When she brought out the drill I thought she noticed so I didn't say anything; past appointments she had noticed little things and fixed them right away without me saying anything. Nope, just did the under side of the edges & that's it. At that point I felt it was too late. The end of the UV lamp part felt cut short and feeling the top of my left nails compared to my right in my car is much different. After I got in my car when I was feeling the difference between the nails top coats and I saw she didnt clean up the sides of my fingers from the white paint. The price breakdown wasn't explained the best so there was a little sticker shock at the end; $55 for some lopsided nails, looking at the underside of left ring finger; there is A LOT of acrylic that was missed and white gel paint I have to clean off my skin. I will go back but I will have to keep a closer eye on the process. Especially for anything that is beyond a solid color. read more

When I tell you I am livid... I AM LIVID !!! I went here because my usual nail salon(shout out FUTURE NAILS) was closed. This was the worst "What I asked for and what I got" All I wanted was a fill !!! She asked me if I wanted to keep the same shape (almond) I said yes, just a little shorter. She barely put any acrylic on my nails, so they're super thin in some areas and lumpy in others. When she was shaping she shaved off half my nail, it looked like a lopsided shark tooth. I asked her to fix it and she had an attitude about it. I left that salon with my cuticles on fire, oval nails and star shaped flowers for $60. I'll never go here again and I'd suggest you find another place to go to yourself. read more

Then the woman who was doing my feet didn't scrub them, clip or fine my nails, nothing...literally pushed pack my cuticles and put a warm towel on my legs and then painted them and left. I noticed that my pinky nails looked a lot bigger than usual which was weird since she didn't do anything to my nails to shape them lmao she painted the skin on my toes to look like nails.. it was horrible not worth 30$. I was supposed to get a full set but ended up leaving after my toes since again I was waiting for a long ass time waiting to be helped after my pedicure. Today was my second time at Orchid Nails & Spa and unfortunately I left disappointed. I first went a couple weeks ago for a pedicure, and at $28 thought it was a good deal. They did a nice job. Today, I went for a regular manicure. I didn't look at the menu board beforehand, but I assume a regular manicure (no gel, no dip, etc, I even brought my own polish) to cost significantly less than a pedicure. It was $22 before tip, which I just find too expensive for a regular manicure. Additionally, I left disappointed with the final product. My cuticles and hands are chapped and more dry than when I arrived (I expect to leave a manicure with soft hands). There is polish around the edges of the cuticles, and some tips of the nails are slightly jagged, which will lead to snagging and chipping prematurely. I've been painting my own nails all year, but wanted to participate in the local economy. I'm disappointed that I paid (too much) for a manicure that doesn't look any better than what I could've done myself. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I'll be back. read more

I'm always a great tipper and I'm also really nice when I come here but today I was not about it... I walked out crying because of how horrible it was... maybe I'm just over exaggerating... but I'm just unhappy about the outcome. I came in with a nice square shape and all I asked was to cut it shorter but I still wanted to keep the shape... this is what I ended up with... you can see how uneven the layers are and how there are dents in the gel paint, it isn't cleaned up, and my nails are all uneven... let not even talk about how she changed the temperature of the water and I tried pulling my leg out nicely but she pushed my leg back in the water even though I told her it was hot. read more

I'd put zero stars if I could but it's not an option. I got a full set of acrylics and had three nails break off in less than a week of getting them. Not only that but when my nails were being placed on and done the artist put multiple of the nails on crooked. I asked her to fix that and she only fixed one and refused to fix the rest. I'm visiting from a different state and broke my nail. I came here since it is near my boyfriend's house to repair a nail. How hard can that be? I have gel powder and gel polish along with coffin shape. They didn't have my color which I didn't care about, I don't expect every nail salon to carry the same brands. She got my length and shape just fine, however my issue is how uneven my nail is and little effort that was put in to drill it down. It's really thick and you can see and feel how it wasn't evened out compared to the rest of my nails in the pictures I've provided. I didn't realize until after I left and it's a temporary fix for me, so I have no desire to go back and fix it. But this is something that they should see as a nail technician. I heard customers come in as I was getting my nail fixed so I'm not sure if she rushed because of that, but even for a repair, they should take their time and make sure it comes out ok. read more

No complaints about pedicure service. SNS customers beware. The color you choose from the swatch may not be what you get. You won't be told the color doesn't match; this salon will just finish your nails with the color they selected that is "close to it". And if you bring the color discrepancy to their attention afterward and request a refund, they will make you take the color off before giving you your money back. I wish i could do negative stars. I went in for a fill with French tips which i showed her a picture of what i wanted. The lady did a terrible uneven job with the French tip then put a glitter top coat on top of it. I let her know i didn't like glitter and didn't ask for that and asked if she could file it off. She got mad and started slamming things and being aggressive ended up cutting a few of my fingers while buffing. I told her she could just do a solid color to make it easier. I never felt soooo uncomfortable getting my nails done. On top of the horrid experience my nails turned out awful! They were uneven, bumpy and the tips still had white on them. The shape I asked for was a natural oval shape vs the shape I got which was uneven, inconsistent and not professional quality. The shape I asked for was very basic. I also asked for medium short and was given very short nails. They look very amateur and I am very disappointed. Paid $45 and left a tip just to be nice. I mentioned the shaping twice and the second time was told that the shape I asked for was a premium shape and would require an additional $5 which is crazy because the nails were already pre-shaped. I had the worst experience at this nail salon. I would not recommend it at all. My nails were uneven, chipping off and the nail tech was very rough with my nails and basically rushed me off the chair the first time I went there. After a day my nails were chipping off and I went back to get them redone but they wanted me to pay a small fee but I refused and not until I showed them the pictures on the review I did on google did they agree to do it for free. The nail tech was still very rough and had a whole attitude the entire time. I was very patient with her but even when I asked questions i.e about how to schedule an appointment with a specific nail tech she was ignoring me and talking to the other nail techs. Very unprofessional. They probably have selective hearing because she could hear and answer other people around but me. My nails are not the best but it is what it is I just got fed up trying to be nice to her. Orchid is not it. read more

Pros: Sanitized tools are opened in front of you, chair massage for manis, cute decor/interior Cons: Scheduling doesn't always mean you have an appointment, they charge to remove gel even if you're getting new polish Orchid Nails is close to home and offers evening hours so I popped in to give them a try. My first visit I scheduled a mani/pedi combo with a girlfriend, after we finished our pedis we were left in the pedi chairs just waiting......when I finally spoke up they rushed to get us over to tables and sped through sloppy gel manis which of course began lifting and peeling less than a week later. 2nd visit I went for just a gel polish change which lasted about a week and a half. Don't worry about trying to save money for just the polish change it's literally pennies difference for a full mani after the polish removal charge, wish I would have known that ahead of time. On my 3rd visit I had Lyna. She pulled out the dremel tool during my mani and I started to clarify I just wanted gel and she explained the dremel is better than just sanding - ok if you say so. So here we are 3 weeks later and I am SOLD! I've had zero lifting, peeling or complete nail(s) missing looking like a hot mess *we've all been there* which means none of my actual nails have broken either. Lyna's extra time and attention for cuticle cleaning and to ensure I was pleased with shape and color was beyond appreciated and just goes to prove spending that little bit of extra time with customers instead of speeding through services does SO much for customer loyalty. I'm currently a solid week in on my 4th visit, no dremel this time, zero lifting in sight and another lasting gel mani with Lyna. Dropping a star because consistency seems to be an issue unless you speak up. That being said - Lyna you have earned my business and I'll certainly be back. read more

The only reason I'm giving Orchid Nails more than one star is because they did a fantastic job with the pedicure and took good care of my sister, who I had wanted to treat with a mani-pedi for her birthday. The girls were nothing but nice. Getting a pedicure is not the problem. I would also recommend to not bother making an appointment, because even though we had set a time for 12:30- they didn't even get us into the water until after 1. I understand they're busy, but why bother setting an appointment if you're not going to honor it? The real issue is with the acrylics. Both times I have been to Orchid Nails, the acrylics have ended up uneven! They're bulky, and the lovely girl who was working on them didn't really listen to what I wanted. I had to fight with her on the nail shape, since she insisted I get square but I really wanted a round tip. There was a miscommunication somewhere about the color I wanted, and I ended up with honestly awful French "tips". The acrylic was not placed properly on the nail and has left a gap that collects dirt and drives me honestly crazy. She didn't take the time to make sure the nails were on correctly before pushing us out the door. The positives are that the nails have held on pretty well, despite the gaps, and the price can't be beat. I think with Orchid, you get what you pay for and I think I will go somewhere else in order to have nails the same size and a technician who listens. read more
