I went to Future Nails and Spa this evening because my daughter wanted to treat me to a mani/pedi for Mother's Day. We arrived at 6:15 PM, a full 45 minutes before closing, and asked for one manicure and pedicure. The woman who greeted us immediately looked at her watch before asking if it was just one service, which already made me feel a little uncomfortable, but she said they could have one person do my toes and another do my nails so they could finish before closing. That sounded perfectly reasonable to me. While a woman worked on my pedicure, I handed over a nail polish my husband had specifically bought me for this Mother's Day treat and asked for a French tip manicure using that color. The front desk employee even wrote my requested services -- basic pedicure and French tip manicure -- on a Post-it note and placed it in front of the nail technician, Peter. After Peter painted part of one hand, he asked about the color, and I clarified again that I wanted a French tip with it. He immediately threw his hands up in frustration and began speaking angrily in another language as though I had caused a major inconvenience. The frustrating part was that my request had already been written down clearly in front of him the entire time. I asked if it was a problem, and with a dramatic sigh he said, "No, I'll do it." At that point, I no longer felt comfortable letting him work on my nails. After he removed the polish, I told him we could forget the manicure because I "didn't come here to be an inconvenience." He tried to convince me to continue, but the damage was already done. The woman doing my pedicure could clearly see I was upset and even offered to do my nails herself after Peter stormed into the back room, but by then I just wanted to leave. I was literally fighting back tears sitting there beside my daughter during what was supposed to be a relaxing Mother's Day experience. When I went to pay, the woman at the counter didn't ask what happened or how my service was. Peter had already spoken to her beforehand, again in another language, so I have no idea what was said. The only thing she told me was that they wouldn't charge me for the manicure. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling embarrassed, unwelcome, and like a burden for simply asking for the service I requested. I have been coming here for a year now and they are fabulous! I have tried a few nail salons in the kitsap area and they are by far the cleanest and nicest. I never have any issues with scheduling or quality. All the employees there are super nice and attentive everyone is always saying hi and asking how are you. The technicians that I directly typically have are Anh for my Acrylics and John for pedicures. Both are always very nice and gentle. I have such a blast Everytime I go. I typically don't have much to say about a Front Desk attendant but the Front desk employee Linda here at future nails is THE BEST! When I do have to wait for a Few minutes she and I have great conversations and she is so on top of the scheduling! I have no idea how they would run without her. Disappointing experience - I wouldn't recommend this place. The nail polish application was poorly done by both technicians who worked on my hands and feet. When I politely pointed out that the polish was uneven, one of the technicians blamed it on my nail bed being uneven, rather than listening, trying to find a solution, and fixing it on the spot - it didn't seem like she wanted to redo it. Do not recommend to go here!!! I went in to get myself and my boyfriend both pedicures. The lady who was doing my toes didn't listen to anything I asked her for. I asked for my nails to be shaped square, she gave me oval. She told me I couldn't receive a french tip because my nail was too short and my toe nails were uneve... Mind you she was the one who had cut my nails.. I have never been to a salon that has denied me a french tip no matter the length of my nail, even if it was short. I told her to just paint the toes solid white then if it couldn't be done. She then proceeded to paint my toes very sloppy and I ended up leaving with paint on my skin and bubbles in the polish. I was a walk in today for a mani pedi. I'm new to the area so I have nothing to compare around here. The place was clean, bright, and relaxing. I arrived right at opening and was able to be seated within a few minutes. I had John, who was wonderful. He asked me clarifying questions to what I wanted and kept checking to make sure I liked what he was doing as he was working. The thing that will have me come back is everything was clean and new! He opened a new package of files/sponges and that's huge for me as I have had infections from pedicures before. I didn't see if the cuticle nippers and other instruments were sterilized and brand new for me but at least some of it was new. Prices were on a little higher side for what I want to pay, but with inflation and seeing clean supplies make it worth it to me. read more

I had come into 'Future Nails' for the first time last Wednesday to get my old shellac off and try their services because I had seen some of their acrylic work before and was hoping for a good experience. You enter this place and it's very 'basic' white and clean with some little bits of flair here and there. It honestly just reminds me of an Instagram or Pinterest page of some very typical and easy aesthetic stuff that 'most' women just fawn over. I needed the shellac off and just wanted to do a Mani Pedi. Up on entering there was a very anxious/stressed host, she was short with me and not very customer service friendly. Thankfully I got in pretty quickly. I was given a number for my chair to get my feet soaked and handed a menu for their services. I chose what I needed shellac removal hands and feet($5 per) and then a standard Mani Pedi with my own paint brought in ($???). The tech Alan was very nice but seemed a little young and a bit distracted...and now I'm finishing my review on day 4 and my pointer finger nail broke. My nails were very VERY healthy and I would go to the nail place at Fred Meyer and my nails have never felt weaker. They must have just shaved down the shellac to the point of the nail and kept going because this is beyond ridiculous even for a regular polish Mani. I saw how much nail residue came off and I am just overwhelmed with how upsetting this has been. I worked hard to grow my nails and now they're broken and were way too expensive. Going to give them two stars, even though I want to give them five. I went here for the first time today and got a pedicure and I got the paraffin wax and tell me why there's wax all over my feet. And then I got the regular pedicure and you're supposed to get a five minute massage and he only massaged one leg. Asked for a basic manicure to trim cuticles and nails, and the nail tech squared off the nails to a sharp point. Ok, no problem, I asked her to just round it out- I only wanted a rounded shape (had already said that). She glared at me, didn't ask if the new shape was what i wanted (it wasn't), just jabbed my finger back at myself, and continued to glare the entire manicure, giving ridiculous attitude. Went in for a simple gel pedicure. My technician didn't ask me if I wanted my nails cut, scrubbed my heels for all of 30 seconds, and never once cleared the corners or cuticles of my nail. He struggled holding nail clippers and nail files and he put my toes in some very uncomfortable positions and he tried to balance both a view of my foot and his grip. Paint job was average. this place was surprisingly beautiful inside, i was excited to get my nails done with my mom. they charged me 115 for acrylic nails, AND THE RHINESTONES CAME OFF THE SAME DAY. i gave them inspo for my nails, they said it would turn out ugly so i had to change my mind on the spot. because i had to change the entire nail idea i was just taking other inspo from pinterest and the person doing my nails kept sighing as if she didn't want to help me. i apologized and thanked her, she said something along the lines of "people usually come here with an idea for their nails" which i apologized for because they told my original would be ugly. my nails fell off and didn't even last a week. charged me 115, made me feel stupid wouldn't come back! read more

I like the modern feel of the place, generally clean. I've been here twice. A couple months ago with an appt for a pedicure and 1 this month as a walk in for a manicure. The first time I went, it wasn't as busy. Definitely busy on a Friday afternoon so I think it might be better to call for an appt toward the weekend. Still one of the better nail salons here in Bremerton and I will keep going whenever I'm in town. I don't normally leave reviews but I have been going to Future Nails since October of last year and used to come in off and on years prior and I have always had a great experience. The space is always clean and I never have to wait long for a service (hour max if i didn't make an appointment ahead of time). I've had multiple staff do my nails and pedicures and have no complaints about anyone. they always communicate to me what they can and can't do and what the price will be ahead of time. I especially love my girl Thao! She does the best nails and is the sweetest person but also doesn't have an issue speaking up if she feels something might look better a different way. I always trust her opinion and go with what she recommends cus girl really knows her stuff. I feel I truly lucked out with finding Future Nails and Thao. The place itself is nice being that it's brand new which is decorated nicely. The staff are friendly enough. Manicure was fine, nothing special about it. However I wouldn't go back due to the fact they charge you to take off gel polish on real nails & charge extra if you want to do one finger a different color - no other salon I've been to does this. I had high hopes for this place since I was highly recommended to go here. I made an appointment to avoid having to wait but, I ended up waiting about 15 minutes past my appointment time. I was sat in a chair with Tao. She was very sweet but her customer service could use some improvements . She would stop throughout my service to go on her phone, blatantly texting throughout my appointment . You could tell she was rushing through my appointment. I asked her for a simple French tip with brown. Which I feel is pretty easy she did a very sloppy job As you can see in my photos I attached. The worst part of all of this is I left here paying WAY too much money for what I got. I was told by Tao my total would be $60. I left paying $75! Now be warned they charge a 3%+ charge if you use card. I'm mainly disappointed of the quality of my nails DAY AFTER APPOINTMENT as I left I realized all the jagged edges around my nail tips. Glad they gave me a nail file and buffer in a greasy bag so I could fix it myself. Not to mention she told me to bring the tools back for my fill. I am not hard on my nails either. If you want to spend a lot of money to get mediocre results this is the place for you. read more

Paid for a full set as well as a pedicure. The only good thing out of this appointment was the massage I got on my legs during the pedicure. Sat down to get my full set, and showed the nail tech what I was seeking. He communicated to his co-worker about the picture that I had shown him. He kept on getting up to do stuff. I understand if you're busy in a business but it is a little aggravating and rude to see that he wasn't starting my nails because he was doing something on his cell phone. He also didn't even communicate to me that the other girl was going to be doing my nails I kind of caught on to it after he had got up and walked away to get on his phone and eventually she switched seats. I was there with a friend enjoying our own conversation. But a few times tried to see about engaging in conversation with the nail tech. But I guess she was more interested in talking with her coworkers. And did I just see you use a cheese grater on the that person's feet?! Like no joke that did not at all look like a tool for getting rid of dead skin I ended up walking away with nails that I paid too much for, when they didn't even fully remove my red nail polish from my nail beds, as well as there was glitter indifferent spots on my nails. I don't mind glitter but if I'm going to get glitter in my nails I would rather get the whole thing rather than some specs, either way it doesn't look good. but more importantly they did not file them very well cuz I felt like I walked out having claws. The next day I trimmed my own nails down and refiled them to where I don't have daggers on my hands. I might have considered giving them another shot but due to the lack not feeling appreciated or valued as a customer I will not be back here. The staff was nice and the facility is new.. Unfortunately, the good experience stopped there. I was visiting to see my grandson and help my daughter after an emergency surgery. My daughter (who just had surgery and can not tend to her own feet until she heals) got a manicure with polish and a full pedicure. The manicure left her with a ton of hang nails. The cuticles were not properly pushed back or trimmed. The nail polish was lumpy, and they kept putting nail polish remover in the bottle to water it down. The pedicure was just a partial compared to the one I received. She has sharp edges on her toe nails that needed to be filed down later at home. The polish was lumpy and had tiny bubbles in it. Within one day, the tips were peeling and chipping. My pedicure lasted a little longer, but my nails were left sharp after clipping them. I had to have my pedicure redone when I got back home. The dip that was done on my hands was not smoothed around the cuticles, so there is a thick ridge. The tops of the nails were not smoothed or buffed, so they are "wavy". Before the first night was over, the right pointer finger chipped in the middle. The next day, the left thumb bent and cracked. Again, I unfortunately had to fly home the next day, although I don't have faith that they would be able to properly fix any of it either way I will contact for a refund or dispute the charge with my bank. SERIOUSLY?? The day after I got them done two of my nails chipped off, today I only have one hand that has all of them "intact" (if you could say that). I booked 3 pedicures and one manicure, one of the pedicures was receiving said mani! We show up and they tell us then, not on the phone when I asked, that they can't do a mani and pedi at the same time. We go to another salon who does do this so this was a surprise. Our friend who was doing both just wanted a regular polish mani, they said it would take 15-20 min. It took the gal 45...my other friend and I were waiting and getting our pedis down while she was still getting her nails done. I had gel on my toes but wanted regular polish put on. They were upset that I didn't want gel put on again.
