I do not recommend hiring Vincent Exteriors for siding replacement. I contracted them to replace…read morethe siding on my house, and the workmanship was completely unacceptable. The final result appears rushed and unprofessional, with cracked siding, unsealed edges, cracks in my interior house walls and noticeable gaps around the doors. I have attached photos to clearly show these issues. When I first met with Vincent Exteriors, the contractor did not explain the vinyl siding material or warn me about its tendency to crack and break easily. It seemed his main focus was securing payment from the insurance company rather than ensuring quality or durability. In addition to the poor installation quality, their communication and customer service were disappointing. When I raised these concerns, my calls were poorly handled. Today, I called again to request repairs, but he refused to send anyone to fix the issues, claiming the work was not under warranty and that I should find another contractor for repairs. Overall, my experience with Vincent Exteriors was very disappointing, and I would advise others to consider alternative contractors for siding projects.

It started out as a little spot of what looked like water on the ceiling in the laundry room…read more Yep, we need a new roof. So of course, I put it off. Three water spots and now an actual leak later, I finally bucked up and got to calling roofing companies. I was frustrated when I couldn't even get a call back from a few, and was driving down the road behind a truck with Home Restorations number on it. I called as soon as I got home, and the phone was answered on the second ring, and an estimate date was set up on the same phone call. Prompt customer service is what won. I was truly impressed from beginning to end by Johnathan's eye to detail and extreme follow-through. We got the roof done, and also a bunch of drywall work, since the drywall where the water was coming in was shot. The previous owners of the house had ripped out half the drywall on the ceiling of the garage (for what reason, I will never know), so we had that replaced as well. There were no high-pressure tactics used, but Johnathan also explained that there were some other drywall spots throughout the house that could use repair as well. In the end, I got all of it replaced, plus got the interior of the main house painted. I'm not wise in the ways of home improvement, but for the roof, drywall and painting, it ran about $14,000. To me it was worth every penny, since the work was top notch from beginning to end. The roofers were efficient and fast, and cleaned up behind them perfectly. The painters and drywall installers were just as efficient. I only had to move all my little nick-knacks off shelves, and remove some wall decorations. They took care of moving and or covering any furniture, and put it all back when the job was done. I could not have asked for anything more! Everything came with some sort of guarantee, if anything should be faulty. I'm not thinking that's going to happen, so I'm set for a while. I would definitely use Home Restoration for any other projects on my house that need to be done. They have won this customer for life!

David, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and he did a good job replacing the tiles on my bathroom floor, and he (mostly his assistant) did a lot of painting, which on the whole looks good. But see below... The big issues were what I discovered after he was finished and had left: fresh paint stains in multiple areas, including the wood floor of my 19th century house and even furniture - which I cleaned up. Splattered paint near the ceiling of my kitchen which still, three months later, has not been patched, paint stains on my oriental rug, a major purchase 40 years ago, etc. David said he would pay for the rug damage, and I only asked for 50% of the very reasonable $175 cleaning cost. David told me to bill him via Zelle, something I said I'm not sure how to do. He already has my Zelle information, since that's how I paid him for the work. But after messaging him and emailing several times, he has not responded. And I still have paint streaks on the wall and an unpaid bill. So I can't recommend Handy Gentlemen. I think part of the problem is that David is under-manned and a bit overwhelmed, but not responding to my messages is unprofessional.

Had three other companies come out, and the first one said, need new roof soon and new siding soon, within 4 years. Next one said, need new roof immediately and could use new siding. Third one said need new roof in around 7 years. hmmmm..... Out comes Berg roofing--my 4th estimate. Guy says to me, your architectural shingles are in fabulous shape. The reason they look uneven to you is because they're very long, and overlap. They are not damaged by hail (or very little). Wait until you see see the coating that is on them in your gutter downspouts. They are coated with granules. They withstand up to 130 mph winds. That roof will last you indefinitely. Do you have leaks on second floor, he asks me. No. He goes inside house. Looks at 2 small leaks above first floor window. I ask, is it the siding. He says, no, it's probably a lack of insulation around that area, in the first floor ceiling. Is this the first time you've gotten moisture? I say, yes, first time in 16 years. He says try not to use a whole house humidifier (I rarely do, although I did run it for a month this past winter). He adds either circle them in pencil or cover them with Kilz and see if they re-appear next spring. If they do, call an insulation company or dry wall company, and have them add insulation around where the moisture appears. He says, it's not the window, not the siding, not the roof. It's a lack of insulation, and when the cooling turns into warming around spring, the area defrosts, and if there's not enough insulation, you can get small water spots. OMG! Is this the only honest roofing company out there? I was so impressed. Guess where we'll go when we need new roofing?
