Two very big issues. First, I took a family member to Alan Webb Mazda for an after-hours vehicle service drop-off and I was extremely disappointed to see Alan Webb Mazda parks their new cars in the handicapped access way adjacent to the handicapped space. This would completely block disabled folks in wheelchairs from exiting their car. What a shame. Second, and to make matters worse, we actually weren't able to leave the dealership after completing the vehicle drop off because somebody had locked the gates behind us, barring us from driving away from the dealership property. I can't find any information on their website that says vehicles must be dropped off by a certain time. Luckily, I got ahold of a janitor who was able to unlock the gates for me. Before I wrote this review, I called Alan Webb Mazda and spoke to a woman in the service department about the locked gate issue. Unfortunately I didn't think to ask for her name, but she replied by saying "I tell my customers verbally about dropping cars off before 7pm, is there anything else I can help you with?" Not even a quick apology for the mix-up. My verbal request to add that information to the website was also ignored. At the time of writing this review, Alan Webb Mazda is averaging 2.9 stars on Yelp. 6/11/2025: After 3 calls and a week later I finally got a call back. The Service Manager had no idea who I was or what my issue was. She didn't know I had left a Google review and she never received the first two messages. When I told her that the operator on Thursday said, "She knows who you are and is waiting on a response from her bosses", she confirmed that that was not true. She was not in a meeting. She did not know who I was. She was not waiting on a response from her bosses. The Service Manager told me that many customers have complained about how their reviews on Google are responded to by a third-party vendor who provides no points of contact. The Service Manager confirmed that the third party-vendor does not tell anyone at Alan Webb Mazda when a negative review comes in. That is appalling and completely unacceptable in this day and age! The Service Manager offered to waive the diagnostic fee because of the experience I had with the review and trying to get a call back. That's appreciated but also kind of disappointing because my whole point is that $193 for diagnosing a known infotainment issue is a scam. So, the real nature of my complaint was swept under the rug: Alan Webb Mazda is price-gouging, nickel-and-diming, and extorting their customers. read more

On Tuesday March 24th, I took my new vehicle to have the service department evaluate the driver's seat because the leather seemed too loose. I was greeted promptly by Shadi Batroukh, a service advisor, who was very helpful and informative. He talked to the service manager, Eden Mederos, while I waited and returned to tell me he was going to take pictures and video because they had to send it to Mazda for evaluation. He explained that it might take a week or so and if I hadn't heard anything by the end of the following week, to contact Ms Mederos. On Friday, April 3rd, I hadn't heard anything so I called and was told Eden was in a meeting but I was able to leave a voicemail. The following week, after still not getting any communication, I called again and left a phone message for Eden. On Tuesday, April 14th, I went back to the service department to try and speak to someone and a service advisor, Michael Bonney, was at the desk. He listened to what I said and asked Eden to step out of her office to speak with me. She took down my name and number, even though she and others already had that info. She told me the part was on order, they were waiting on Mazda to reply, and that she was "99% sure" they would cover the repair. On Thursday April 30th, I attempted to contact Eden again and was connected to her voicemail, again. I attempted contact a couple of more times with no response until Wednesday May 20th when Michael texted me and said that they had received the part but Mazda denied the repair. (Why would they order a part before a repair had been approved?). When I mentioned the communication with Eden, he said he didn't know she was also working on the case. I contacted Mazda directly and expressed my concern with how I had been treated by the service department and asked if the case could be reviewed. The customer service person told me she would "elevate" the case and I would hear something soon. There were a couple of emails back and forth and then on Friday July 3rd, I was talking to a different case manager at Mazda and she informed me there had been no warranty or other maintenance inquiry/request since I've owned the vehicle (January 2026). So not only did the Alan Webb Mazda service department string me along, they blatantly lied to me, multiple times. At this point, if my vehicle needs service, even under warranty, I'll make the trip across the river. read more

This dealership was so unbelievably unprofessional!!! I had a deal on another car and reached out to see if they could come in around the same price. Provided everything possible to work up numbers and they told me know problem, then after coming in they jacked the price up over 2k then what they originally quoted. They made me lose the other deal I had and then after giving in, an asking for them to only come down $400 they wouldn't budge. I had been SO CLEAR in my communication up front that I didn't have wiggle room and they lured me in likely just to try and pressure me into whatever amount they wanted. We have had our Mazda cx50 turbo for one year and 4 months. In the first three months there was a tear on the side of the drivers seat and we were told at that time it was a defect in the material and in fact there are 1000's of people on line with the issue. Now a year and 4 months same tear same place on the passenger side front seat. The Manager calls me and tells me that I caused that tear and it would not be covered. I told her that was xx and she told me that if I continued to cuss at her she would hang up on me. I told her she needed to learn customer service. The Service Manger then told me I had 48 hours to return the loaner car or she would start charging me 250.00 per day to my card. This is a known defect there are people all over. I am so sad because our experience in purchasing the car was so good we were planning on taking our son back up to Allan Webb to purchase his own new Mazda from them. At this point I want to trade in the car and never do business with them again. I was upset no doubt at the Manager who would not be? S he called me guns blazing because she did not want to have to pay to have that seat recovered. I paid 45k for that car and if I had known I would be treated like this I would have never bought it. The same week someone hit our car door with a shopping cart and we are in the middle of dealing with that and to be treated so poorly by a dealership I had so much respect for is really disappointing. I took my 2016 Mazda CX 9 in for its first oil change at the 5000 mile interval this past Friday. Alan Webb Mazda Service Department was excellent. I did not purchase the vehicle here but this dealership is the closest to me. I bought my vehicle at Gladstone Mazda. We had scheduled an appointment for 9 a.m. and I dropped off the vehicle a little before then. I was greeted by friendly staff, Megan and Jessica who quickly added my vehicle to their computer system by using the VIN. Megan quickly figured out I had purchased the Vehicle Maintenance package and said they would have the vehicle ready in 45 minutes. The vehicle was ready in less than 45 minutes . The service was phenomenal. I would highly recommend it. Jessica even followed up with me on Monday to ensure I had a positive experience! read more

Short story, I will never purchase another Mazda vehicle, I advise you against it. Alan Webb Mazda are criminals and treat their customers horribly. They should be ashamed. Long Story: In Summer 2020 my MX5 had a piston slam into a valve under warranty. I went to Alan Webb and they said they would not cover the repair. They made stinks about oil changes (which they performed), and other noise that frankly didn't make sense. I drive the car for leisure, no racing or modifications. I got an attorney, paid $400 and they immediately replaced the engine and owned their part. About 19000 miles and a year later, the same thing happened. I just spoke with a person at Mazda, asking, that now my MFG warranty is up, was there any warranty on the engine and would they replace it. He said he would need to speak with Mazda, at which point I asked him to simply let me know the warranty on the Engine. After about 3 minutes he changed his tune and said that the engine would only be covered for the remainder of the PowerTrane warranty, and maybe a few thousand miles over that. As this doesn't make sense, Mazda sold me a car that had an engine where the timing was off and a Valve hit a Piston, replaced it, and now it is doing the same thing. Feels like there should be some warranty on the engine to me. They will not listen, and say it is fair that they not warranty the engine. I disagree. Gonna get a lawyer and a new car, please beware. Your client was my mother. So you can try and discredit my review, and my personage, all you want but I was involved in the interaction and I dealt with Olivia on my mother's behalf. My mother only asked that Alan Webb stop interacting with anyone other than her because of the incredibly unprofessional conduct being displayed by employees and the shockingly slippery offers of what we would actually be paying and what we would be receiving that had been mentioned and not delivered more than once. I have the vehicle. It is mine. So... there's that. There are several issues with the vehicle that directly relate to things Alan Webb said they had done specifically to prep the car for sale. Like, it is not aligned or balanced based upon how it drives. Also, the brakes are very loud and their response is questionable but Alan Webb sales people assured us the car had new top of the line tires that were balanced and rotated, that it had been aligned and that they did install new brakes. Alan Webb Mazda's shop held the car extra time to do a recall repair... but did a shoddy job replacing the recalled lift hinges in the trunk. The new lift hinges squeak and scream and they don't work properly. So, I'm just waiting for a major injury to occur and then you can just deal with a lawsuit or with a lemon law issue. read more

One generally dreads car shopping - which might be part of the reason I've had the same car for 13 years - but after evacuating from the recent forest fires in OR through dense smoke in my old car, I decided it might be a good idea to have a reliable one instead. I searched online and found the used car I wanted, and it seemed to be at a reasonable price point here at Alan Webb, so I made an appt. and drove up. This was probably one of the easiest sales transactions ever. I worked with Ryan, who was great, very friendly and personable, as was Justin, the finance guy. They didn't haggle, I didn't haggle, it all took a reasonable amount of time, and all in all I'm pretty pleased. No one here fit the stereotype of the "used car salesman," so I'd say if you find the car here that you want, go for it. read more

Went to Alan Webb Mazda looking for a grey CX5 turbo premium. Met the salesman and he said there would be one in by the weekend......well two weeks later he called me and said it was in to come down and take a look, ended up being the wrong model and he told me it was a misunderstanding......ok sh_t happens. A week later the car I wanted came in and he told me to come down, was doing all the paperwork and numbers only for the salesman to come back from the managers office to be told the car was already sold to another customer!!!! I was pissed at that point so I left. THEN the manager calls me do do some fast talk and convinced me to have a car driven down from Gladstone Mazda, I told him there had to be under 25 miles on the odometer, he said no problem. It comes in they call me to come down AGAIN only to look around the car and see it has 400 miles on it WTF !!! Don't ever buy a car from these people, they will lie to your face and tell you anything to get a sale. Not even an apology from their manager! Horrible customer service. I wanted to update from my previous review in 2016. I have been bringing my 2012 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring to Alan Webb Mazda for services since 2016. I am thoroughly impressed. They only recommend services that are needed, and don't try to up-sell me on unnecessary items. Before the pandemic, I was typically able to book a Saturday morning appointment and either wait around while they do the service, or go for a walk/cycle. They will tell me ahead of time that a service will likely be needed next time, so that I can plan. If I am getting something like brakes done, that will take additional time, they will provide a courtesy loaner car. Since the pandemic they have not been open on Saturdays, so when I took the car for service they gave me a courtesy loaner. I have been a very happy customer for the last four years. I have no plans to sell/trade my car as it is in perfect working order and I intend to keep it that way. I would certainly consider buying a car from this dealership as I have had such a great experience with the service department. read more

Be extremely wary of their service department. My mother and I bought our vehicles from Alan Webb Mazda in December of 2014 (mom CX5) and March of 2015 (Myself Mazda 6). We were told that we would have lifetime oil change service as long as we owned our vehicles. We have taken our vehicles there and at first the service was good, but it has degraded over the years. I stopped taking my Mazda 6 there once they told me that I now needed some sort of plaque/certificate that was never given to my mom or I in order for them to honor our free oil changes. After more than 6 years of taking our vehicles in, and spending thousands of dollars in parts and repairs through them, when we could have saved money going elsewhere. The last straw was last month when my mother brought her car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Now the previous three times we brought it in mom had asked for a tire rotation and for them to please check the tire because it kept going flat. The same tire had been going flat for nearly a year and they kept insisting it was a sensor error and that they couldn't find anything wrong with the tire. Now my mom had been having trouble with her car starting , and I had checked all the wiring and spark plugs to make sure nothing was loose prior to us taking the vehicle in. I also marked all the tires because I was suspicious they weren't doing anything I. Regards to rotating the tires much less checking them to see if their was an issue with the tire that kept going flat. I made sure to be extremely thorough because I wanted to make sure it wasn't something simple and that we wouldn't be paying for unnecessary repairs. Mom spoke to them about the car starting error and asked for a rotation along with her oil change. When we came to pick up her CX5, we were told that service had been done and they had zero recommendations for us. Again they said nothing was wrong with the tire and they had rotated them. Not only had they not done the rotation we found that her car wouldn't start. Upon further checking, we find that a few wires had been loosened in her spark plugs and battery. She was charged for services that should have been and had been free to us for many years when we purchased the vehicle. Imagine if I had not checked the wires prior to taking my mom's SUV in and we had to take it back in for "repairs." What if the wires came loose while she was on the freeway or off their lot? There would undoubtedly been safety issues, and as I stated before I f we would have had to take it back to them then more "repairs and services" that would have "needed to be done.' Unacceptable and unethical business practices, and completely negligent to the harm they could have caused! So when I take the SUV to Les Schwab's to have them check the tires and have them rotated they inform me that there were nails in the tire that kept leaking and that the car needed a new battery. They also actually rotated the tires and low and behold no sensor errors, flattening tires, or car start issues. My family and I will never do business with these criminals ever again! read more

Made an appointment with Erika Wright via email on Tuesday, communicated a couple times with her during that week specifically about the vehicle I was interested in (2019 Mazda 3 w/low miles ). Appointment was for 10am Sunday Morning. Got permission from Erika to try and fit a large cardboard box into the vehicle, trying to figure out if my dog kennel would fit, without actually using the dogs actual kennel ( Covid etc... ) I showed up at 10am, they told me Erika was not working that day. I showed them the email, it had the vehicles VIN. They said the vehicle was in the shop for a recall, I could not see it...but we do have several new suvs we would like to show you ? Never was able to accomplish my purpose of trying the kennel fit...I have to give them credit for getting me to drive over there for no reason. Should have known better, my bad. read more

I was in the market for a different car. I happened to stoppedin at Alan Webb just to see if they could do any better than the Portland area dealers, and met up with Manny Vargas. I had never really considered Mazda before, but let me tell you how happy I am that I came in! First, Manny took his time to discuss all my options. We walked through several vehicles, and we talked about all my needs. I drive quite a bit for my job and side business, so safety is priority 1. Mazda has so many safety options on vehicles, its quite extraordinary! Once I settled on the vehicle, Manny walked me through everything about the car. It's literally a computer on wheels. And I'm glad the Manny was there to show me all the features, because the owners manual is like a novel. Holy cow! Once the papers were signed, Manny again walked me through everything about the car before I drove off. The entire staff truly made me feel like I was their only customer that day. From making sure I had plenty of water, to sitting and talking with me, to making sure I understood every thing about the deal. Amazing!!! I'd highly recommend Alan Webb to anyone. Walked in to buy a car. I stood in the foyer for 5 minutes. Made eye contact with 2 guys that walked past me without saying a word. I knew what car I wanted to buy - that I'd seen online. Finally, another guy walked past me out of the managers office. I asked him if I could get keys and go out and look at it. He said, "We don't have any salesmen right now to help you". I asked when they would? He replied, "In about an hour". I laughed and said, "Ok, I guess you don't want to sell me a car - I'll find one somewhere else." He didn't bat an eye. Then I walked out. I won't ever go back. I stopped by their other location by Hannah- and got the same careless vibe. When they were in Hazel Dell a long time ago - it was a different experience. After looking online and in person in several locations we ended up buying a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander here. Our sales guy was great and we did feel that we got a good deal compared to what the car was selling for elsewhere. The only caveat is that if you get their oil change plan be aware that it only gets you two changes per year. If you plan on having the car for a long time it's probably worth it given how expensive oil changes are but if you drive a lot you'll need more than than two. read more

Let the games begin. What a frustrating experience. It started well enough by searching in the usual ways as well as creating a search via TrueCar which generated quotes from various dealers, including Alan Webb. The online sales rep was responsive and worked to get us a very competitive quote on the car we wanted. It was when we went back to the dealership to start the purchase paperwork that things took a turn for the worse. Same old car dealership games. First the sale price was wrong - sales person runs 50 feet to the sales manager's office and returns a minute later with new paperwork reflecting the correct price previously discussed on the phone multiple times while making the appointment. Repeat the same process for an extended warranty we never asked for they tried to sell as part of what we had to include (extra $3500). Repeat the process for "brake surge" for $395 sold as a factory installed option (complete lie as it is something a dealership adds). The sales manager never came out of his office and the sales person was completely out of his depth trying to explain why we had to accept nearly $4000 in added cost for things we didn't want. Nearly walked out. Financing went smooth and quick, as it always has with any car purchase I have made. I will not take my car to Alan Webb Mazda for any service or buy from them again. read more

I did an online appraisal for a trade in off Alan Mazdas website, where it told me my car was worth 16K+ on trade in. I then of course got called by a salesman at Alan Webb wanting me to come in and do the trade in appraisal & look at new cars. Since I absolutely hate our Mazda 6, I did. i wasn't ready to buy anything so he wouldn't give me a set number on my car but told me that they would pay mine off & help me on a down payment for a new car. Since my assumption was that they would give me what I owed + more, I drove back down to vancouver the following day, and was ready to purchase a 2022 vehicle from them. Then they gave me the $ they'd give me for my trade in. They would not go higher than 12K. I absolutely will never return. nobody seemed to know what they were doing, I was handed off to 3 different people, and left still in a car I absolutely hate AFTER being told something completely different the day before. Never before have I left a poor review of a business in the past, but I feel a sense of civic duty to warn the public to purchase your awesome Mazda from ANYWHERE else. The process of getting divorced after 10 years of marriage was less turbulent and frustrating than dealing with these people. I purchased a brand new Mazda3 Hatchback August 10th. This is my third Mazda in a row and I love the vehicles -- if only I didn't have to deal with the arrogant, chauvinistic, incompetent sales team at Alan Webb. The finance manager, Marc, has absolutely no idea what he's doing. When I decided on the car I wanted and started the paperwork I had an "exceptional" credit score. However, after running 4 hard credit reports (because he didn't check lenders' requirements) my score has dropped 48 points. "I don't get paid more to finance at a higher or lower interest rate" was his line after informing him I was not interested in purchasing a vehicle at 7.99% interest. I have made more trips to the dealership to complete new finance applications than I made in total test-driving and shopping for a new vehicle. So after 39 days of purchasing a car, I still don't have license plates. When I call, email, or text the salesman/finance manager/sales manager if I'm lucky I'm told "I will check into it" but there is never any follow-up. Instead I am met with excuses and deflection as to why nothing is their fault and why they can't accept responsibility for anything. From the sales manager, "There are other factors that go into play when your credit score drops." I have not applied for a new credit card. If anything I completely paid off my student loans, which would only increase, not drop, my score. From the salesman, "Yeah, Wells Fargo really dropped the ball on this one." No bud, you guys did. You should know the lender's requirements before expecting them to finance a deal. I drive for Lyft, and my insurance, driving credentials, and registration all expire in 7 days because I don't have license plates. I articulated to the sales manager that this is my livelihood and I don't have confidence that the plates were even ordered because the sales team has shown such overall incompetence. I would like to know what happens when my temporary permit expires. He wouldn't give me an answer. "It won't happen. You have seven more days. Look, I copied you on an email to see where your plates are." For the record, I still haven't heard one peep from anyone in regards to that email. Do yourself a favor and just avoid Alan Webb at all cost. You will be happier overall that you didn't waste your time and energy on them. read more

The lady that's in front I think her name is Jeannie is extremely detailed on providing quality customer service. She greeted me by 1st name and throughout the conversation. She read the online request of me needing a courtesy vehicle to go to work (located in Portland) while I dropped my car off for service which was very thoughtful of her verses when I called a couple days before my appointment. A different lady wasn't as helpful & stated I would just have to wait in the lobby while my vehicle is being serviced meaning I would be late to work which I wasn't fond of. Jeannie went over and beyond when I asked what time the service department closes. She let me know at 6pm and if I was running behind schedule I can drop the keys for the courtesy vehicle with the sales team & I would be able to get my car from them too. She even stated I can call in to provide payment over the phone which was very convenient. Overall Im happy with the service. read more
