And their "labor cost" is pretty outrageous for some of the simple things they say need done. I got my thousands of dollars quote and compared their parts costs to actual auto store quotes of the same exact parts and this place is charging triple to 5x the cost! For every single part needed. They never did complete the "free inspection" they offered me (I paid them $150ish for them to slap me with their outrageous quote so I wouldn't quite call the inspection free), even after keeping my car for multiple days and saying they would do it. I was a customer of the original owner of Xtreme Coatings who ACTUALLY developed the mixture which is a PHENOMENAL PRODUCT. Almost indestructible ... So much so, that in the old days, this sealant was sprayed on trucks for all the local fire departments before putting their new vehicles into service. This EXACT product is ONLY available in this single location in the US, yet the new owners have no idea as to the genesis of this formula. The new owners have no idea as to WHY it is soooo superior, and unlike any of the dozens of similar products that are heavily promoted. These new owners also co-mingle this outstanding product with another business, and it appears that the Xtreme Coatings legacy has suffered dramatically. By now they should recognize the "gift" obtained, and aggressively move forward, instead of diluting their time and effort hawking useless everyday products that can be purchased, anywhere/anytime. When I mentioned the original owner, inquiring as to how he was doing (As I hoped he has now happily enjoying retirement), one of the new owners specifically denied even remembering him, and both new owners were totally void of the creator's contribution, although they were now benefiting on their predecessor's coattails. Neither were even aware of the origination of this product which is an incredible marketing story of itself, created in "complete error", and the only possibility of these new owner's guaranteed future success in view of this economically challenged time. As previously mentioned, the original owner of THIS product discovered its final property as he was attempting to create another product. He did not wish to pursue the time promoting this amazing product, as his passion and time was always elsewhere. And in closing, re: ever-popular LineX mentioned by another reviewer ... An absolute joke by comparison. If you turn your vehicles in every few years, no big deal; Your LineX will survive. If you seriously USE your truck, or plan on keeping your truck in service until "the wheels fall off", beware! I have watched guys literally peeling LineX out of the back of their trucks within five years, revealing a rusted shell. The original Extreme Coatings product was sprayed onto the bed of my then-brand new 2002 GMC 2500HD Duramax Crewcab WORK TRUCK. After twenty-plus years and 241K miles, good luck anyone trying to get this stuff to separate from the skin of my truck! This business is a two day drive for me, and after my direct conversations with both "owners", in spite of "great job", "good price", I seriously question the quality of the service and application that I might receive. Honestly, Cornelius, OR, is just too far to drive to take a chance on new owners who have "failed" without me even crossing their threshold. If the formula has not been altered, they will miss they're Golden Egg opportunity. If my age weren't of significance, I'd swoop in and take over!

First visit: I recently moved from Portland to Cascade Locks to be closer to my mother who is having some health issues. So, I needed another mechanic for my car. I saw that this shop got good reviews so when I thought my rear axle seal was leaking, I took it to them. It turns out my front axle seal was leaking and they said my air conditioning was leaking as well. I told them to check out the air conditioning but my priority was the axle seal. Well, they started on the air conditioning. I kept calling for updates on what was going on because they have no communication skills. They were going to charge me 800.00 for the air conditioning so I had them stop, because they hadn't even gotten to the axle seal yet. I paid them for what they had done already. I bought the sensor and the manifold and gauges for recharging the system and the coolant, which came to 100.00 and did that myself. Second visit: Melissa sent me a text that they would do the axle seal for a reasonable amount so I set the appointment for July 3rd, which she agreed to in the text. The morning of the appointment my mother had a medical emergency so at 1 am I went to Hood River. I got back home about 3 am and got an hours sleep, so I could make the appointment. My wife had taken the day off work to take me back home after I dropped the car off. I go to the shop and it is dark, no one is there and there is no notice on the door. Another customer was waiting as well and said the shop decided to take that day off. I could not believe it. No effort to contact me to reschedule, nothing. After I had made an appointment and rearranged my life, they decide to effectively tell me they don't need my business. They must have an incredible established customer base because from this treatment it seems they do not need any more customers. Well, they lost this one. I could not believe the lack of empathy, human decency or professionalism. Each person is said to influence 100 people in their social circle, I will make sure I tell everyone I can not to use this shop.

Star - My Experience with Excel Window Tinting & Car Wraps (Brush Prairie, WA)…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but after three years of frustration, I feel people deserve to know about my experience. I was referred to Excel Window Tinting & Car Wraps by a friend when I was starting a new business. Money was tight, so I was looking for a fair deal. After we agreed on a design for my truck wrap, I was told it would be completed quickly. Instead, it took about three weeks before I got my truck back. At first, the wrap looked fantastic. Unfortunately, that didn't last. Within just a few weeks, parts of the wrap started peeling. I reached out multiple times and received little to no response. When my business didn't work out, I asked about having the already-peeling wrap removed. Even though it was failing, I was told it would cost me another $500 to remove it. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, the final price was significantly higher than the original quote I had agreed to. That was a difficult surprise, especially since I was already on a tight budget. Fast forward three years: this truck has only been driven about 8,000 miles, yet the wrap is badly discolored and peeling in multiple areas. I specifically remember being told there was a five-year warranty, which gave me confidence in the purchase. I finally gave up one of my days off and drove back to the shop hoping to resolve the issue. The experience was incredibly disappointing. The owner seemed more interested in being on the phone than helping. At first, they actually suggested the peeling was a paint problem. I had to remind them, "You wrapped this truck." Only then did they acknowledge it. After that, there was no meaningful follow-up. I was told they didn't know who I was, couldn't locate my information, and that I needed to find my paperwork. I was then told the warranty was only one year, which completely contradicted what I remember being told when I purchased the wrap. From my perspective, I was misled about: The completion timeline. The final price. The warranty coverage. The level of customer service after the sale. And according to their records, I apparently don't even exist as a customer. I paid roughly $4,000 for what I believed would be a professionally installed wrap backed by a long-term warranty. If I had known it only carried a one-year warranty and would be peeling and fading after only 8,000 miles, I never would have spent that kind of money. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Excel Window Tinting & Car Wraps. I would encourage anyone considering a vehicle wrap to ask for every promise in writing--including pricing, warranty terms, and completion dates--before committing.
