Fun world-class theater experience. Went here with a friend to watch Super Mario Brothers and was intrigued by the interior design. The building has Wing Chun dummies on the outside with outdoor dining. There is a whole hallway dedicated to old school Kung Fu movie posters of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee which was fun to see. I enjoyed the dining options though they were expensive - $20 (+$4 for tip) for a large crispy chicken sandwich with large gravy fries. The service was quick. 5/5

Claw machine - buy a drink to get a token to play.

Honestly, I really wanted to like this location's Alamo because it is closer to me than the others but just like my prior review (in which I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was still relatively new at the time) it fell short. Out of the 3 locations in NYC, this is the last one I would go to. The service was a little weird this time. When I walked in they checked our tickets at the front desk which is weird and seems like a waste of time since it's checked when you're seated too. The other locations you just go into the theatre and they only check once. I had written our order before she got to me to check my tickets but instead of just taking the order card to punch in the order, I had to read it out to her. I would've preferred to watch the previews instead of reading out our order. After taking our order, instead of continuing down the aisle she went up one level even though there was a group next to us. She never checked on them and kept bypassing them until eventually they got a hold of one of the servers to put their order in right before the movie started (which took a good 15 min). And then because she never went to them, she had to bother them just as the movie was starting to get 4 credit cards, 1-2 at a time which was very distracting. This time we ordered mainly from the limited time only menu: -glazed and infused burger with fries - partner said the burger was "okay"; fries weren't crispy on the outside and potatoey on the inside like other locations, kind of tasted like frozen fries reheated; the weird thing was it is supposed to be served with ketchup but instead we got salsa...dipping fries in salsa? Ok. -I want all of you pretzel - honestly, didn't taste like a pretzel, tasted more like fluffy bread. I did like the jalepeno cream cheese dip but it wasn't well mixed. The bottom just tasted like cream cheese, while the top was great with a kick of jalepeno. -tried to order the big freakin' cookie shake - but they were out. Also overheard from another group that a normal beer was out as well. -carnivore pizza - the homemade marinara is usually very tasty, but this time it didn't have the punchy seasoning I usually like. Additionally, after the meal, I ordered 2 large waters but for some reason, only one came.

This place is absolutely amazing! You've got to check it out! They have great movies, menu, awesome atmosphere, and programming is cool. The posters and history alone is worth the visit! The staff is cool and real too !

It's here!!!!!

I have been waiting for about two years when I heard about the announcement. I don't have to go over the bridge and pay for parking! :) I went on the opening day to watch Flying Guillotine.. and now I'm back two days later to go see Marcel the Shell. I'm so excited, for real. The seats recline. Please note: no texting in the theatre, or taking calls. There's always a funny reminder before the movie. I've reactivated my season pass and I'm so so excited. The staff are super nice and really trying to make sure everyone has a great experience!

Worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Last night I bought 3 tickets to see Avatar at Alamo drafthouse in Staten Island. The reason for purchasing the tickets was to take my friend, who recently had major foot surgery out of the house. He was using a iwalk (device that attached to the knee and acts as a foot) for the first time. He was happy to have it because it helped him move around and allowed him so freedom; however he needed to keep a slow pace to remain steady as he moved. We parked in the parking lot close to the escalator in the Alamo drafthouse shopping center. Since we had to move slow, it took us about 15 minutes to cross the street, get on the escalator, walk up the second level hallway and into the theater. By the time we got to the front desk of Alamo it was 30 mins past the start time of the movie. The two people working at the front desk (male and female) scanned our tickets then paused and said 'oh do you know about our late policy?' We said no (we had no idea). The Alamo employee stared at my friends leg on his iwalk and said 'you didn't get here fast enough' I saw my friend look down at his feet. I could see how hurt my friend was...not being able to move like normal was/is a big mental pain for him right now and to be told that he didn't get there fast enough seemed like a Specifically mean choice of words. My friend was so hurt he couldn't speak. I explained to the two Alamo people at the desk how tough things have been for my friend, I also explained how we took almost 15 minutes to get to the Alamo desk from the parking lot because of my friends restricted movement. The man behind the desk cut me off and told me 'this isn't a movie theater for people like you' - I have no idea what he meant by this. Was he speaking about my friends leg, just because we were late, was there any other reason?I didn't ask him because he was raising his voice and getting in my face. I politely told him I'm not trying to make you upset or escalate the Situation I was just explaining to you on a human level what caused us to be late. I asked for a refund but he also refused. I was left with no choice but to leave. I was hurt my friend was crushed it was the worst night.

One of the food options that you get at your table I choose a burger with lettuce and tomato and onions with fries.

This theater is awesome the food is great it's real food that gets delivered to your table you write or your order down and the server will come to your table as there assigned to you for the whole movie showing you can get burgers or popcorn anything food and drinks non alcohol or have a beer delivered to your table. The seats recline and yea it's nice you aren't distracted the only time you have to get up is to go to the bathroom. Everything is delivered to you.

We are all excited but still had no idea where until I saw the castle and I froze. Like, wow! I have been wanting to come here since I was young and that wish came true. The ambiance inside the castle and the staff were so welcoming and very into their characters. It was so cool to see and experience. The concession stands had really nice items to buy and great photo ops. As we were waiting to go inside, my boys were knighted and that was so cool to see as they were having the time of their lives! As we were walking towards our section to sit down, we saw a royal falcon, which was pretty cool. As time is getting closer, we are now waiting to be seated. My family and I and everyone around us was so excited to finally go inside, sit down, and enjoy the show. We are finally in our seats excited for this moment. Our server Isaac was awesome!!!! The line to get inside, the line for pictures, and even trying to find our seating created a very chaotic atmosphere. We made a reservation for 9 people but were seated for 8, which resulted in two children having to share a chair. That was disappointing and felt unfair, especially considering the cost of the experience. The show itself was entertaining and the host was very kind, but the food was just mediocre. The potato was dry, and the chicken was unevenly seasoned -- one section had an overwhelming amount of seasoning while other parts had very little. For the amount of money spent, everything felt just "okay" rather than worth the price. Leaving the venue was also stressful. Guests for the next show were entering while our crowd was trying to exit, causing everyone to crash into each other and making the experience feel even more chaotic. Overall, the kids enjoyed themselves, but as an adult, the entire experience was overstimulating and not something I would personally rush to do again.

(I'm assuming the grub came from the trattoria above us.) Lots of flavor, a few entrée options to pick from (made ahead of time) to appease any preferences or dietary restrictions. My only issue was whoever was working the salad station was entirely too heavy-handed with the sliced radishes. Ease up on those next time, partner. The show: exactly what you probably expect/fear/need/want - equal parts goofy and interesting, ridiculous and intriguing. It's well thought out, constructed and paced. (We were 'warned' from the start - how much 'we' put into it is what we'd be getting back out and that's legit... some people were completely "in it" and you could tell they loved every second of the adventure, whereas my in-laws started to fade after about 90 minutes.) I should fess up I was positive my "thinking outside of the box" was going to snag me the win but I completely flubbed and it's safe to assume my final guess was the WORST one of the night. (Some advice: pay attention to ALL the clues. Don't try to be too damn clever or it'll bite you in the rump!) The three hours went by smoothly... lots of laughs, lots of interacting with the other diners (suspects!) as well as the actors and before you knew it - crimes were being solved, tabs were being closed and it was time to head back into the cruel streets of the city that never sleeps. Biggest issue (aside from the radishes!) - parking, of course. (A few blocks away was the only option and that added another $50+ to an already expensive night.) We were a party of seven (which is how many were seated per table) and I think we would've had an even better time had we been split up or went as a smaller group (so we could mix-and-match with other people, including the performers). Most definitely worth checking out if you're out for some fun that can appease (older) teens to their grandparents.

We started off the day with the power going out. There was uncertainty about what was going on with our wedding, but of course the show must go on. The show was fantastic after that. They kept everyone upbeat. They were funny, and great, and I loved every minute of it. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat. The way they handled disaster was amazing. Jon kept my husband (!!) on the positive side during panic. Everybody raved about how great they were and how much fun they had. Tonights was out in Patchogue, LI at a bar restaurant called OFF KEY TIKKI. The food though they tried, wasn't good. I believe one of the meat dishes might have been bad and I stuck with the turkey. When you go to these events, the food is usually standardly basic and its the show you are really there for. Bar drinks and desserts were not incorporated in the 60. dollar plus added gratuity to the total, paid before entering. This murder mystery was a bit uhh quirky. One note is to, be there on time. I was under the impression that it was food from 7:30 - 8:00 pm and then the performance murder mystery. Just at 8:00 I walked in and already had missed the gun shooting of the lead victim. The young lady playing the cop, went right along in roll and questioned me as to why I was late and where I was a short time ago. The police officer she was portraying had clothing not up to snuff with black sneakers. The overall acting could have used tweaking. But as it is for entertainment, I went along and got into it asking people around me all kinds of questions. There was a scene of someones head but it was not made clear to the audience quite how that fit in. However Jon Avner artistic director and founder of the company, who writes and customizes the stories to fit the request and need of the people who higher his company, actually was pretty funny and acted well in the part with the interaction of the audience participants. Some of them were pretty funny too. Near the end of the performance the audience and suspects are given a paper form to fill out along with a pencil that reads Murder? 1-888 shoot em and asking to write, basically, Who done it and why. Then the chosen best audience actors get a few gifts and the person who comes closest to the correct-who done it gets a shirt and some other goodies, this time including some handcuffs. Again, all in good fun. Ok, so I was the one who logically wrote that it was the Lieutenant. It wasn't. But I choose not to say more to prevent any spoiler alert. As for the place, while the people there were nice and it is a local bar and not one I would likely frequent, 3 stars is about it for their rating.
