Very friendly and have lots of potential. Really liked the pickled veggies and the compostable taco trays

Done with Dunkin? Sick of Starbucks? Passing on Peet's? Go to Alaina's. Coffee was great! I got an amazing breakfast sandwich made with chorizo and love. Then I got to eat it in a lovely backyard. Pleasant staff, great fare, great venue.

A comfy coffee house that's open 7 days a week. Besides coffee & teas, it serves breakfast, sandwiches and delicious finger food. You can also buy their house-brand coffee $11.95.

Another 32 oz large iced latte? I'm not understanding this at all- maybe it's a south county thing-who knows. Was not good- no espresso flavor or and hardly tasted the vanilla. On the day I went their medium iced coffees were $1.00. I took advantage by getting one black with no ice to enjoy later in the day-was a little weak in my opinion.

This cute little roadside coffee shop was the perfect find for when we were driving aimlessly around the area on one of our "fall drives." This place is so cute, it's like a little fairy house in the center of a garden in the center of a strip mall/plaza. I mean, what more could you want? I got a small chai latte and damn was that good. Creamy, smooth and full of spice. It was the perfect addition to a perfect fall day. I did not try any food and took my beverage to go, so I am hoping to return sometime to try more off of their menu. What I can say, is that the Chai was a solid choice!

A small and quaint cafe off RI-138 just a mile from I-95. The cafe inside was warm and welcoming and the outside was nicely decorated with plenty of seating if the weather supports. The folks working were very welcoming and made a BOMB three cheese grilled cheese. I substituted a brusselsprout/roasted sweet potato salad for a small fee and was not disappointed. The cold brew coffee was good, as was the scone but truly the sandwich was the star here. I recommend giving it a shot!

    Vegetarian wrap. To die for!!!

After spending my entire life in the "foodie" town of Mystic, CT, you could say I was a bit saddened by the lack of restaurants surrounding my new home of Voluntown, CT. I'm always on a quest for something different and imagine my surprise upon stumbling upon Alaina's Coffee and Kitchen while cruising the area one fine day, killing time. The moment I pulled into the parking lot and spotted the kitschy little building and the happy clientele milling about, I knew I'd found a gem. I immediately looked up their menu and, as a lifelong vegetarian, was absolutely thrilled to see several scrumptious sounding options! I ordered the vegetarian wrap, which, in most places, is literally vegetables and maybe hummus in a wrap. Not the case at Alainas! This bad boy is created with crispy eggplant rounds, garlic hummus, roasted red peppers, arugula, cucumbers, tomato, onion, provolone, and a basil mayo. It was pure heaven. I would have never imagined that combo together so I'm forever in their debt that they did the hard work for me, as it's common practice being a vegetarian to have to design your own gosh darn food. I visited a week or two later and also thoroughly enjoyed their chickpea wrap. I can't wait to visit again and try their crisped eggplant caprese. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable as well.

Grumpy, sullen service. Bad coffee. Sisco food. High prices. No atmosphere. Like a bad Dunkin.

A regular stop for us when we're in that part of the state. Delicious sandwiches! Grilled cheese with honey and chili sauce is delicious.

I really don't like eating low.. so let me start with the positive: the waitress we had had a very…read moresweet personality and she was very willing to find out which items were fresh and which frozen... so although she said it was very good and popular, the seafood and onion rings are all frozen. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan with gluten free pasta and I actually liked it enough to bring my leftovers with me (If something isn't great I tend to leave leftovers). Eggplant was thinly sliced and crispy. My father ordered a baked stuffed quahog, and a Greek salad. He wasn't happy with either & thought the salad dressing came straight from a bottle. He did have New England clam chowder (not homemade, Snows) which he did like. Mom ordered an eggplant grinder that was good, but needed more sauce. The atmosphere was a family run Italian restaurant kind of vibe. There was a dessert counter with desserts that looked bakery made. Based on the delicious smell of the place, my guess is that the pizza and grinders are probably very good too. I think perhaps my father just ordered the wrong things? I'm not willing to rate this place less than 3 because the eggplant parm and the service were so good. I bet if we gave them another try and stuck w Italian entrees we would have been a lot happier.

The Italian Stallion at Little Country Pizza is not just food - it is a culinary adventure!…read more Imagine this: pepperoni pizza folded like a calzone... then stuffed with a full Italian grinder. Yes, you read that correctly. It is layers of cheesy, meaty, pizza-y perfection in every bite. It is delicious & wildly creative! Lauren and I from RI: The Pizza State decided to meet up at Little Country Pizza in Exeter for a…read moreholiday lunch today. Pierre Boutros and Jen Boutros joined our group as experts from day one and have become friends, and we wanted to visit with them before they close for the holidays. We started with a grandma slice because that's my favorite style and I haven't had it here before. The slice arrived with that golden-brown finish and leopard spots where Pierre's oven does its best work. I picked it up. Impossibly light. I tore off a piece to check the structure. Look at that. Those aren't polite little air bubbles. Those are irregular, cathedral-sized pockets that tell you this dough got the time it needed. Pierre knows his fermentation schedule and he respects it. Most places pull grandma slices early because they're watching the clock. Pierre's watching the dough. Each bite compressed down to almost nothing, then sprang back. The cheese browned in all the right spots without going bitter. The sauce stayed underneath where it belongs on a grandma pie, supporting everything else instead of announcing itself. Pierre's parents bought this place in 1988. He grew up in it. He could cut corners now and most people wouldn't notice. He doesn't. Then we ordered two pies. One grilled chicken with pepperoni, one straight pepperoni. The chicken pizza arrives with the chicken hidden under the cheese. Smart move. Keeps it from drying out. But here's what matters: that chicken doesn't disappear under everything else. The flavor comes through clear and distinct. It tastes like the chicken in your mom's chicken soup when you were growing up. The pepperoni pie is what I judge every place by. The pepperoni cups properly. Gets those crispy edges with little pools of oil that you're either into or you're not. I'm into it. The cheese browns perfectly without crossing into bitter territory. Pierre's sauce leans savory. Not sweet like most Rhode Island places. It's balanced but you can taste the tomato and the garlic more than the sugar. Unique. Works. The crust on both pies shows the same attention to detail. Most places get it right once in a while. Pierre gets it right every time. Then we ordered a Smokey and the Bandit Samzone. Half sandwich, half calzone. It's one of Pierre's viral creations. Inside: smoked brisket and mac and cheese. That's it. Bacon studded on top. BBQ sauce on the side. The smoke hits you before you bite in. Not subtle. That brisket spent serious time in the smoker. The meat pulls apart without resistance. The mac and cheese does what it's supposed to do. Creamy. Doesn't fight with the brisket. Just supports it. The dough holds everything together without turning into a soggy mess, which is harder than it sounds when you're stuffing mac and cheese and brisket into pizza dough. We finished with an apple pie dessert pizza. It arrives covered in streusel with apple chunks breaking through the crumble. The ice cream comes on the side. Vanilla scoops dusted with cinnamon sugar. This is your mom's apple pie. The apples are soft but not mushy. The streusel adds that butter and brown sugar crunch. The crust underneath stays crisp enough to support everything without turning into a wet mess. The ice cream with warm apple pie is exactly what you want. Pierre could've stopped at pizza. He's already making some of the best in Rhode Island. But he doesn't stop. He keeps creating. Keeps making things people didn't know they wanted. That's the difference between running a pizzeria and building something that matters.
