Said open online...drove two hours-got there and it was closed. No stars wasn't an option.

Open for dine-in, open until 10PM on Sundays…read more They are all out of chicken today, except for the chicken wings. No hummus either. We ordered a large Fattoush salad, no pita, small turshi, two lentil soups, falafel plate (comes with 8) and a beef kafta. We were given lots of lemons for our lentil soup, which is good on its own, even better with the fresh lemon juice. We also were given a sample of the hummus or lamb broth soup with chick peas in it, it wasn't bad. The lamb broth warms you up nicely. The turshi is nicely pickled and flavorful too. All of the veggies are super crunchy too. The pita wasn't my favorite, wasn't hot out of the oven fresh. It was store bought, no space here to bake their own pita. Have seen and bought these diamond shaped pitas at middle eastern grocery stores before. The beef kafta was super moist and juicy, nicely seasoned too. They are shaped like little patties here. The Fattoush salad is nice and fresh, added some sumac to taste the way I prefer to eat it. The falafel are super crunchy on the outside but perfectly moist inside and quite good. The sauce for the falafel is tart, good stuff. The bean soup in the tomato soup is quite good, simple, yet good. The tomato soup base is quite comforting. Some grilled cheese would go fantastically with this tasty tomato soup. We closed our meal with some Arabic tea. It's not bad. The food was all yummy, the bread could use some work. The service here was good as well.

Aliz Seafood House - Look to the disgusting fries

Five stars for perfectly grilled fish. This is the new Sterling Heights branch of Aliz Seafood…read moreHouse of Dearborn, just opened at the end of May 2023. The menu is a Middle Eastern take on fish and shrimp. Most entrees can be ordered grilled or fried. All the seafood is on display at the restaurant counter, all looking very fresh. My dinner companion and I had spicy golden pomfret, which the waiter said was the restaurant's signature dish, and fish skewers. The golden pomfret, a whole fish, was spicy, but underneath the spicy coating, perfectly grilled, delicate and tender. The fish skewers were mildly seasoned but also delicately done. This was fish that tasted like we were dining in an ocean state, not the Midwest. The portions were generous, as was the house salad. Spice is the name of the game here. Since we were first-timers, the restaurant gave us a complimentary eggplant and pepper appetizer, like baba ghannoush but with a real kick. The red shrimp soup had a spicy red broth, cut slightly by the coolness of chopped shrimp. The antidote to the spiciness was a glass of lemon mint juice. It tasted of fresh mint and cut right through any lingering heat to cool down the mouth. The restaurant, a storefront in a shopping plaza, was immaculately clean, with good service. The only thing missing was the crowd Aliz Seafood House is sure to attract.

We have order at least twice a month since we were referred to kebab hunt by a friend about six…read moremonths ago. We originally had wonderful experiences until our last three orders. The first time they forgot the entire side of Rice, but shame on me for not checking your bag. The second time they quoted me 20 minutes on the phone and after we got to the restaurant and waited 35 minutes, she told me whoops, we lost your ticket. We wait 15 more minutes and even though I ordered kebab skewers, I was given weird thin grilled chicken breast with no vegetables. The other entrée was ice cold. We placed another order today, I even asked her to make sure it was correct because we've had two bad experiences back to back. Quoted 20 minutes, we get the food after 30 minutes and the entire sandwiches is wrong. So they remake the sandwich and give us french fries that are ice cold with the new sandwich. The lack of attention to detail for the cost of the items is just not worth it. Just disappointed overall... not sure what's happened there recently.

The chicken shawarma on the combo plates are drier than they used to be, and we order our meats medium. Our food hasn't been ready on time the past three times we've ordered from there. The worst was today, they told us 35 minutes and my husband is literally there still waiting, an hour after I called in our order. Please do better with your timing, we absolutely love your hummus and our friends and family always enjoy the food when we order from there.
