Kabob house is somewhere I frequent for lunches because the food is consistent, well-priced, and they have great portion sizes. It gets extremely crowded during the 11:30am-1pm timeframe so I would recommend going outside of the typical busy hours unless you don't mind a wait. Horrible! I ordered on door dash and asked for spicy hummus. I drove 30 minutes to pick up my order, asked if the spicy hummus was included. I was told yes, if it says it on the receipt it's in there. Of course I drive back and no hummus. Well I called about it, was put on hold, and hung up on. I drove back out to pick up the hummus and left empty handed. The cashier was obnoxious and rude! Showed me the receipt and asked me why I asked for spicy hummus. Said I didn't pay for it. Man, I just had my order all messed up. The young lady at the counter was just good spirited and helpful while I ordered even describe, correctly, which I incorrectly changed. So, yet another wrong meal for my wife. The cashier maintained smile whole peole just ordered on the phone, walk ins, and pick ups. You cannot order salmon for a salad, even stressing that you are more than willing to pay the charge or cost for the salmon. They just won't let you do it. The wait staff is super sweet too. The decor is a bit loud, flooring needs replacing and the bathrooms usually need attention..... I've been here twice. The food was good, but I just can't get over the filth. The laminated menus have layers of filth caked on. My feet stuck to the floor of the women's bathroom. We took a chance on trying this place based on a solid recommendation from a trusted source. Thank you trusted source, you didn't disappoint! In fact we were surprised on many levels. From the outside, the place doesn't look like much, but once you walk in, you can feel the vibe of a place that serves good food to it's satisfied customers. We were a group of six that arrived for dinner on a Saturday evening. There was no wait, as the inside is large with plenty of seating for groups both large and small. The garlic spread placed before us was awaiting the slightly delayed pita bread. Our server let us know that more was in the oven and would be served up fresh and warm in minutes. After the anticipation, it didn't disappoint. The bread was very fresh indeed and the dip was awesome. I ordered the Chicken Cream Chops and the server asked if my husband and I wanted to share the dish. I asked if it was a large enough portion and she assured us it was, so we decided to share. The food actually came out fairly quickly and wow.... when it came to the table, I could hear everyone exclaiming their surprise at the hefty portion sizes. The fresh, crisp salad alone was enough for at least a few people to share. The Chicken Cream Chop portion was also more than I expected. The food was perfectly warm and fresh and yes, we had enough for leftovers at lunch time the following day! I also had my first taste of hummus and it was really good! Sometimes I'm hesitant to try something that's new to me but guess what... I loved it and I'd get it again. I really liked the unique wall and ceiling decor. I couldn't help but snap a few pictures from the view I had at our table. I was also impressed that our server took six orders with no pen and paper and delivered those orders with no mistakes. I know I could never accomplish that feat! There was one little blip with one of our three separate checks that were delivered to our table, but it was resolved. This is one of those places that would be listed under a hidden gem where the outside doesn't represent the inside. In short, there's tons of indoor eating space, the food is great, and it has a convenient location. What's not to like? I've been going to Kabob house for a couple of years now, and the quality has always been top notch. When you arrive at the restaurant, you'll be given your choice of seating (there are plenty of options, but you can handle it, I believe in you). The menu is fairly simple, but if you don't see one of your usual favorites on there, ask the wait staff, and they're usually very accommodating. The prices are also very fair, as you get an abundance of food with your order, especially if you order a saladWhile you're figuring out what to order, you'll receive a couple of bowls of garlic sauce, and a few baskets of bread. Try to control yourself, even though the garlic sauce at Kabob House is just about as addicting as you can get without having to get a "controlled substance" designation. Once you've placed your order, more often than not you'll find that your food will arrive within 10 minutes. Exactly what kind of magic they have going on backstage, I'm not sure, but the food tastes great & fresh so no complaints for me! The only place you might find a hiccup in Kabob House is at the end when you go to pay. Everyone pays at the cashier, not with their server, and with the amount of people stopping by around lunch, don't be surprised to find a big line of people at peak times. Keto/ Low Carb Folks: I have been getting the Chicken Shawarma Salad and it is amazing! It's a massive salad and you get a ton of chicken as well. Middle Eastern food. So simple, so delicious... Our party of six started off with some hot out of the oven pita with that delicious garlic dip they call Toum. One of our party ordered some fresh made hummus that we enjoyed while waiting for our dinners to arrive. Before we knew it, huge platters of freshly made salad, Chicken Shawarma and Chicken Cream Chopped hit the table and we momentarily sat and looked at them in amazement. Huge portions of chicken, rice and greens which would easily feed 2 or 3 hungry adults were right there in front of us. These enormous portions of tender chicken, rotisserie roasted and perfectly seasoned were just the thing we were looking for. Both dishes were flavorful without being overly spicy. The Chicken Shawarma was my favorite of the two with perfectly seasoned, moist and tender meat that kept me eating even when I was plenty full. The Chicken Cream Chopped was more like boneless fried chicken, breaded and also lightly seasoned to perfection. I preferred the first dish but in any case, you really just can't go wrong with either one. Service was fast and friendly but felt a little choppy towards the end as everyone but us got their bills. Took a little too much time for get this taken care of. Minor enough issue but slightly irritating none the less. All in all, a very good experience. I'd go back again tomorrow so I'm giving them 4 Stars. Check this place out for yourself when you are in the Warren area. An A Little More Food For Thought: * Portions are ridiculously huge here.
