I have tried Mediterranean dish's all over metro Detroit and they are up there with the best! The staff is wonderful and very friendly. Best chicken shawarma sandwich I have ever had! The chicken was perfectly spiced and flavored (sometimes you just get normal chicken no added flavors and this really added to the experience) it was almost a foot long. A combination of meat market and grill / restaurant / carry out, it's easy to wander through the aisles, perusing the cuts of meats and selection of snacks while waiting for your food. The employees are very kind, with excellent communication about the timing of the food, even for large orders such as the combination platter for 10 people. And the food itself. Don't get me STARTED on this prime selection of meats and vegetarian options. The lamb kofta was perfectly seasoned, the chicken tawook juicy and flavorful, the falafel crispy and chewy at the same time. The mixed grilled vegetables that come with taste like summertime on the grill. I could eat spoonfuls of the garlic sauce by itself, that's how excellent it was. The restaurant side has always had great food but 2 nights ago I decided to get a whole NY strip from the market. They selected a beautiful strip that was 13.4 lbs and took it back to cut in 1" slices as requested. They packaged it all up and I thought all was good. When I got home I thought it looked a bit light so I weighed the packages and it was only 9lbs 8 oz. I was shorted almost 4lbs of steak! Place has really grown on me in the last couple months. I was always team Kabob House. Meat is still superior at KH but price and quantity are unbeatable over here. Salads are huge and dressing is top notch. Meat could be cooked at a higher temp flame to get more of a char and retain those juices but still better than 99% of other places. We live on the west side, about half an hour away, but needed food for a luncheon following the passing of a loved one who lived on the east side and who was a Boff's regular. Not only did the man who took my order for 20 custom-make several platters for us, but he included some extras things as a gift, let us pay on pickup even though it was a huge order, and carried everything to our car. We live amid tons of ME restaurants but don't have ANY around here that are this good! Everyone absolutely loved it. It was extremely fresh and delicious and beautifully presented. This location is always busy, "standing room only busy." They prepare the food rather quickly, even at their busiest times. Food is fresh and portions are large. The steak and chicken is always cooked well and flavorful. The garlic sauce has good flavor, but not overpowering. Vegetable are cooked well and not mushy. The pickled items are amazing. read more

We order from Boff's through DoorDash once or twice each week, and the food is consistently excellent. Our usual order includes a large fattoush salad with chicken, a large chicken shawarma, and a side of grilled vegetables -- everything is flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. It's generous enough to last us through several lunches. We especially love the spicy hummus! The only minor issue is that we request no bread, but it continues to be included. This visit I ordered the Mixed Kabob Entree with Tabbouli for the side. I didn't expect to get as much tabbouli as I did but that was well worth the $2 upcharge. They close at 7pm on Sundays, keep that in mind, 8pm during the weekdays. We were greeted upon entry. We sat down and studied the carry out menu. I order the lunch special chicken kafta, it comes with two skewers. The dinner comes with 3 skewers. We also ordered chicken Fattoush salad and a large Fattoush salad too. The garlic sauce is so fluffy, creamy and so super smooth. The staff are all so warm, totally welcoming, beyond friendly and absolutely attentive too. We were given complimentary garlic sauce and hummus and a big and bountiful plate of it too. The hummus is delicious too. Creamy goodness. The lentil soup is thick, some pilaf maybe. It's nice and hearty. The kafta meat and the chicken on the salad was tender, juicy and flavorful. They give you a good portion of meat and then some. No going hungry here. It feels like Boff's is really under the radar, but they serve up a mean shawarma sandwhich! Everything appears to be made to order, so it does take a few minutes, but it's top notch! Really great service as well. Everyone is very pleasant and eager to make their customers happy and you don't see that too often anymore. There is limited dining space and I can imagine that it fills up pretty quick... it was empty the early afternoon that I visited, but by the time my food came out, there was literally a line out the door, so I think that says a lot.
