Older home with galvanized pipe. It got so bad, they had to turn the water off at the front of their home. With my stepdad being in a wheelchair and in his 80s, and my mom and her 70s, there was absolutely no way they could be without water. Did I mention it was just a few days before Christmas?! No other family resides in Texas so the parental were pretty much on their own...Which made this even worse! I live in California, and my brother lives in Florida. I reached out to Repipe Specialists and ended up getting connected with Colin Cantu. Miraculously, we were able to not only get an estimate on completing a full re-pipe on the house, but were also able to get the Repipe completed the day before Christmas. Yep!!! Lightning fast! You just can't make this stuff up! They have everything very well streamlined. They even have financing that you can utilize which was quite attractive to us considering the time of year. Were there some hiccups? Of course... However, they were very minimal and all it took was a phone call to Colin and everything got worked out beautifully. The Repipe essentially took one day... They patched all their holes to a rough patch status making it easy for us to paint and restore everything back to normal. If you look at other reviews, you may see comments indicating that Repipe Specialists contracts out to local companies to complete their work. That is true. We had one minor issue involving a kitchen faucet which required a warranty visit. One phone call to Colin and everything was handled expeditiously. I cannot leave a more positive review for a company. Having elderly parents flying solo many states away and having a major plumbing catastrophe less than a week away from Christmas is very disconcerting. I am so thankful for the service provided by Colin and Repipe Specialists. The office staff is amazing and very accommodating, and their warranty department is very effective. They are not cheap, but they are not the most expensive either. My family had a two bedroom/2 bath home, and they were in and out in a day (Repipe portion). My parents had water. When we did the initial consultation, they represented themselves very professionally. I would imagine they have to be professional due to the heavy price tag that they offer. Well, they hire third party local plumbers to do the job. Although, I do feel they did a pretty decent job, they did not treat our home with respect. They left piles of dust, drywall, and pipe everywhere. There was so many crumbs in our sinks and shower. They also used my decorative towels from my kitchen to clean up water and put my bathroom trash can inside my kitchen sink??? Why??Not to mention that I threw away several water bottles and worst of all they used my restroom to do number 2 and threw the toilet paper in my trashcan. I was horrified. The drywall guys were extremely nice but they also blew up my guest toilet and left me a disgusting mess to clean up. The plumbers also stated that we did not require a city permit, and I am really unsure if that is true. They also did not connect our washer properly and it leaked when we turned it on. I would have preferred they leave it disconnected then so we could do it properly ourselves. At the end I am happy we have our house repiped but I think we should have gone with a local company that doesn't hire third parties. This could be the reason why they were not as professional as they should have been. It's not their own name that they represent. With what we paid, I expected for them to at least clean up after themselves and not use my restroom. Please use a gas station, I did not sign up to sharing my restroom with strangers. Also it's been three days since the completion of the repipe and no one has called to follow up or ask about our experience. Don be fooled by their marketing photos, you don't get the blue collar shirt guys. I will have to spend my weekend cleaning up/dusting my house.
