Amazing food and beautiful atmosphere. Authentic Mexican cuisine and an awesome Happy Hour...the strawberry Margaritas are the best I've had!! The pork belly taco was my favorite until I tried the spicy octopus taco and then I tried the crispy cauliflower taco which then became my favorite so it's safe to say ALL the tacos are my favorite!! The outdoor seating at nighttime by the fountain is absolutely beautiful! A wonderful experience!! read more

The ceviche was really good but for some odd reason they infused corn nuts......not joking, they added corn nuts....the margaritas were good, everything else was average a best. The salsa had an overwhelming curry flavor. They did not have salt and pepper shakers. There wasn't pico, jalapeños, or chile con queso read more

Everyone orders the nachos--you should too! Add the chicken to the nachos, even better. Go for happy hour and have the discounted drinks. Loved the chicken quesadilla, didn't care for the pork tacos. Have been here five times, I find myself wishing there were daily specials, the menu is limited. They take reservations, which is appreciated. read more

Al Pastor is a great Mexican experience. From the fresh guacamole to the wide assortment of tacos, there is something for everyone. The margaritas are very good. The atmosphere is open and inviting with al fresco dining when the weather is good. My wife and I have dined there several times and wholeheartedly recommend Al Pastor. read more

We made a reservation for 2 and they told us we would be seated shortly. We waited over 25 minutes while we could visibly see open two top tables. And then other patrons came up and were seated immediately. We went up and told them we'd be going elsewhere and the hostess barely batted an eye. Very disappointed. I can't say anything about the food though. It might be good. read more

The tacos here are amazing! If I could eat here every night, I would. The staff is always friendly, and the food always fresh.

Beautifully expanded Al Pastor! Lunch was delicious with new choices and old favorites on the menu!

Was amazed by the ambience and food at Al Pastor in Eagleview (Exton PA). Total city vibe in suburbs. Not like chain Mexican at all. Had amazing tuna ceviche and pork belly tacos. What's better is they had full bar so I enjoyed house margarita. We are lucky to have this in our town! read more

Just finished up a late lunch at Al Pastor and couldn't be more excited about the experience. My husband and I recently moved to the area from Philadelphia and have missed the excellent Mexican cuisine. We have definitely found our answer. It was hard to choose from the mouth watering menu. Everything we tried was delicious but MVPs included guacamole, wings and the Pork belly and cauliflower tacos. And the mushroom flatbread...delish. The drink menu is fresh and accompanies the flavors of the menu perfectly. If you're lucky enough to meet Justin (one of the owners) while you are there, take any and all of his recommendations. We can't wait to bring friends! read more

The staff was awesome, very attentive. I was disappointed in the food n drinks. Margaritas were overpriced, with little to no alcohol in them. Food was just so-so. This was going to be our new hang out, probably won't go back anytime soon read more

Wanted to like it and actually went back after not enjoying it the 1st time. Food is not good Mexican food. Great location and love atmosphere, but food is way below average! read more

My wife has been to Al Pastor several times, and finally convinced me to go. I love Mexican food, but I cannot stand Cilantro (tastes like soap), so I usually avoid going to Mexican restaurants. We sat outside as the band set up in the quad across the street. Our waitress was great, she reminded us that it was officially happy hour and reviewed the specials. I ordered a blackberry mojito. I would normally never order that, but she explained everything is hand made with fresh ingredients, no syrups. It was awesome and set the mood. I ordered the Taco Mixto, four different taco's (brisket, pork belly, chicken, and cauliflower). Believe it or not, I think Cauliflower was my favorite. Awesome meal, awesome vibe, I cannot wait to go back and try something else! read more

Great new restaurant in Eagleview. This was a pleasant surprise. We are always searching for quality restaurants, and usually end up heading to center city. Thankfully, this one is nice and close. Good to see a restaurant in the burbs try something different and new. The Ceviche Yucatan is to die for and the mushroom and corn huaraches was delicious. Portions are a perfect. Flavorful and fresh, packed with flavor. We will definitely be back. Thanks for coming to the suburbs Al Pastor! read more

We had a great dinner last night at Al Pastor. We started with the Queso Fundito, and it was delicious. We could have used an additional tortilla or 2 as the amount of fundito was a lot for 4 tortillas. We tried the margarita al pastor (which we didn't like, it had all spice around the rim) and the traditional margarita (this one was great). We had the pork belly al pastor tacos and chilly crusted skirt steak. Both entrees were delicious and prepared perfectly. The servers were attentive and food was prepared as requested. Looking forward to going back. read more

I would give this place 4 or 5 stars for the food but read on...the food was excellent. The tacos were priced fairly for the portion at a high end restaurant in the suburbs. The desert was delicious. I reiterate, the food was worth 4 or 5 stars. Here's where they lost me...a drink should not cost $18 and be measured out by the ounce. Quick example...I was at my favorite spot in West chester tonight and got a 10oz glass of top shelf gin for half the cost of a 3oz drink at this place. I'm not exaggerating! Half the drink for twice the cost. The service was surprisingly good given the youth of the servers. They were very friendly and attentive. I like to dine not speed eat so when our food came out rapid fire I was a little disappointed but given the cost of the drinks i wouldn't want to be here too long. I'm longing for a go to place in dtown so please please either reduce the cost of a drink or deliver a heavier pour. Bottom line is the food was excellent but I felt ripped off by the drinks read more

the food was good My family ordered chirzo fundido, cheese quesadillas ,chips and salsa, nachos, carnitas enchiladas , cheese tamales, soft tacos .multiple mojitos and an lovely atmosphere read more

Outstanding Mexican food! The service is super friendly and helpful, but not intrusive - well trained. The atmosphere is trendy with cool music. Want to enjoy your next business lunch? Go here. Love the guac and chicken tacos! read more

I will never eat at this establishment. Though I have heard good things, it has come to my attention that they steal money. Their "round up" system is BS. If I have .29 cents due to me... you as a service are obligated to give it to me. I am in the service business. That's my money. It's the principle of it. Some may say so what, what's a small amount of change. If they round up and take, let's say .50 cents from every customer, they are making a killing. If it is for the wait staff, than let me be the judge of how much I agree to give them. (note: they do this if you take out as well. You don't use wait staff when taking food to go). Their staff is horribly trained and don't know their behind from a hole in the wall. Poor wait staff equals poor training equals a bad manager. So anyone eating here...pay attention to your bill and make sure you have your correct change. Because they will steal money from you. So disappointed. There are better MORALLY CORRECT restaurants in the area. I'll take my hard earned cash to them. read more

Great prices and portions. The nachos are extremely good, I can't get over the pickled jalepenos and onions! Bartenders are great, Kylen and the crew hold it down and keep the drinks coming. Once again, the food is great if you're in a Mexican style mood. I must have had their flatbreads at least 6-7 times since they opened a month or so ago. Definitely recommended!!! read more

Not impressed. What Mexican restaurant doesn't give you complementary chips and salsa?! The two stars are for the open air atmosphere and the live music. As for the food, the portions are small, the nachos look amazing in the picture but are so skimpy with toppings..mostly just a tray full of chips. I will not be returning. For authentic Mexican food, it's back to Casa Herrera in Thorndale for me. read more

Best margarita I've ever had! We were visiting family in the area and stopped for lunch. Ambiance and decor are spot on. Food and staff were excellent. I had the cauliflower tacos- they were the bomb.com! Jealous that the people in the businesses and apartments in the complex are only steps from this place. read more

It was okay. We went during happy hour to an empty restaurant, which was easier for my family than a crowded one. Their original margarita was decent with lots of salt, but too much ice. We ordered the Al Pastor flatbread and nachos. Both were good because of their sauce and cheese. I have to say their nachos had a bit of something on almost every chip, which I don't experience too often. However, the chips were too salty for me. My husband got the cheesesteak burrito, which he said was bland. The Mexican corn was ok. It was served on the cob, elote-styled, but too charred. It didn't hold the flavor of the spices and cheese. For being empty, our waitress took a while getting over to us, but she was helpful and cheerful. I recommend the nachos. Their prices aren't worth it to me, so if you jut want a plate of nachos or to try their flatbread, give happy hour a try. It was $5 for any flatbread. read more

We've been to Al Pastor about three or four times now since they opened. The first couple times I think they still were getting their act together, but our most recent visit seems to show they have done that nicely. Early on, the service was prompt, but very generic and a bit stuff, probably due to the fact that they have a very young staff. Recently, our server was much more engaging and knowledgeable about the menu. My wife got the taco sampler, which is four different tacos from the list. She loved it. And it was nice that the server told us she could swap out any type of taco she wanted from the list. I'm not a very adventurous eater, so I went with the chicken quesadillas. Only knock on this visit was that when I got my order, I opened the quesadilla only to discover it was mushroom, not chicken. Just a mixup, and they corrected it quickly. Overall, the food was very good, and the service friendly and quick. Hoping the trend continues! read more
