    Tiramisu with two spoons

We have been anxiosley waiting the opening of new Aledo Grill restaurant. We noticed it in the northeast corner of the Walmart plaza on main street in Dunedin. They open at 4:00 PM daily and we arrived early on a Saturday to get a seat. Next time we come we will call for a reservation which is suggested. Maryanne, our server, seated us quickly and took our drink order. This gave us time to take in the romantic decor and enjoy the relaxing piano music on the sound system. The good part of arriving early is that they offer early bird specials from 5:00 to 7:00 of which we took advantage. I ordered the Picanha steak with broccoli and street corn sides. The steak was made to my requested medium and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they also pay close attention to the sides as my broccoli was expertly charred. The street corn on the cob was served in two pieces and charred with a nice sauce and grated cheese, delicious. My wife had the Tuscan goat cheese chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The chicken was smothered with mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and goat cheese, excellent. Again the sides were special with mashed potatoes and asparagus to die for. We decided to extend our romantic evening by ordering the tiramisu and coffee for desert. We will definitely be back.

PHENOMENAL!! I've lived here four years and never once walked through the door. The nights of…read moreindulgence I've missed are honestly shameful. Upon entering, I was struck by how small the space was, but it's cozy and intimate, and I understand exactly why it's been voted the most romantic restaurant around. It was our wedding anniversary, and we were acknowledged for 22 years of marital bliss. We were seated in the back left corner booth - THE prime table for two, right next to the sommelier station. We were promptly greeted by Sean, our server. There are some people you just know, from the moment they greet you, will take great care of you all evening. Sean has that rare tableside manner that blends personality, hospitality, and professionalism that exemplify the truly elevated dining experience. His presentation of the menu was practically an oration, painting a vivid picture of each dish, activating the cephalic phase of digestion. We started with his recommendation, a goat cheese bite for hors d'oeuvres. I'm still not sure what the base was, but it set the tone as the catalyst for every flavor that followed. For starters, my wife and I both chose the bisque: an onion-and-potato-based delight. I honestly don't remember what was in it, and honestly, I didn't care; it was perfection. From there, my wife went with the Black Pearl salad while I opted for the Caesar, curious to try their take on the classic. Her choice was the clear winner. The Caesar was generous and beautifully plated, but not the standout of the night. During his presentation, Sean claimed the filet was the best in Tampa Bay. Naturally, we had to find out for ourselves. Served Pittsburgh style, it did not disappoint - the heavy char deepened the juicy, flavor-packed bite with every cut. Best filet in Tampa Bay? It has my endorsement! Finally, dessert. We finished strong with the Banana Foster, a recipe with origins from the owner's grandmother. We also went with the Tarte Tatin, reportedly the most popular dessert on the menu for the past 18 years, per Sean. Once again, extraordinary. We're used to heading into Tampa or St. Pete for elevated dining. So happy we found this "pearl" right in our own backyard. Take my money!

Wow! Incredible! Perfection! Amazing experience! I would…read moregive more than 5 stars if possible! This is a very small venue with limited tables so make sure you get a reservation. You get very personal service and luxury experience. We had hors d'oeuvres, wine service, appetizers, bread service and our main meals. We also ended with desserts we all shared. Absolute 5 star food and service! Cannot recommend highly enough! What an incredible find!

We actually dined here for our anniversary, December 30th. I wanted to write a glowing review then…read morebut I sadly can't remember my servers name. He was FABULOUS! I'm so sorry, wish I knew his name. He was the only male server there at the time so hopefully he gets credit. We made a reservation for dinner & walked in about 6:30pm. We waited only a minute maybe at the podium. It's in a strip mall which is odd for such an upscale place but it was kind of business casual not formal. We were seated in a comfy booth by our server. There was even a card sitting on the table, signed by the staff for our anniversary. Very sweet. This was our first time here so he showed us various specials on the menu. They had NYE specials since it was the 30th so we ordered from that. The drink menu is very small but I'm confident the bartender could have made me anything I asked for. We did not order bread, it's not included but we also did not want to fill up on it. I was dying to try the onion soup & was actually glad he recommended the mini size. It allowed us to try the soup but not fill up on it. I would totally return just for this soup! It wasn't long before our dinners were ready. Once it was in front of me I was honestly shocked at the raw beef but, it was truly seared & sliced to give it that presentation. I normally will not touch rare beef but this was actually delicious! The food was so good & fresh. The drinks were strong, not watered down at all. I actually had to get a Togo box for half my meal but it was a great lunch the next day. We did take home desserts as well which were also perfect. Our dinner was $200 which is quite steep but it was our anniversary & we truly enjoyed it. We will definitely return. I wish they did carry out for the soup. I think I'd order it every week if they did.. Overall I have zero complaints. The ambiance is not overly stiff either. They've made it so it's a mix of casual & elegance combined. If you'd like to dress up, go for it! Thank you, Parlor House for an amazing anniversary dinner.

We returned to parlor house for Valentine's Day last night. The food was absolutely unreal- as we…read moreremembered- but the ambiance has totally flipped! When we were here last (as you can see in the attached photos) there were dark curtains blocking out the very casual plaza, white table cloths, dimmer lighting, and a stage at the front for live jazz music. It really felt transformative and intimate. This time when we walked in we were greeted by a beta fish tank which was incredibly odd lol, all of the curtains were wide open, no live music, wooden tables, confusing decor, it was super bright and so, sooo so loud. Tables were crammed together and you could tell the kitchen and bar were struggling with volume. I wouldn't mention this at all if the entrees weren't 50$. For the very pricy food and cocktails you expect an elevated interior- and the vibe felt really confusing. It's a shame because the food is exceptional- something to keep in mind if you're looking for a romantic date night. Excellent food romantic vibes Still worth trying if you're in the area- just adjust expectations. Dress code online business casual but folks were mostly in shorts and t-shirts.
