This would have been a 4 star experience if it wasn't for several things: 1) during the dinner, staff were bringing in giant crates of ingredients into the restaurant, bumping into the back of our chairs and lugging them over our heads. Seems unwise that they would not have a back entrance for deliveries. 2) a fine dining restaurant should not allow young children. There was an entire family making so much noise in the place. Disrupted the evening until they left. 3) the music did not match the ambiance or decor. Just a thoughtless selection of pop songs. 4) no hot towels offered to cleanse hands with. 5) the waiter took our order wrong despite confirming twice that we wanted the 18 course omakase, we received the underwhelming 10 course. The manager did apologize, but it was still not a good end to the evening and we ended up getting Thai food right after. For these reasons, I give the 3 star rating. The sushi was good. Not great but good. I question the wisdom of a completely Kosher sushi restaurant. Having the Kosher option is fine, but eliminating a wide variety of what makes Japanese cuisine so great for non-Kosher patrons seems ridiculous. Might as well go into the city, the prices are the same, but the sushi is better.

Had a great meal at the sushi counter here. Food was top notch with wonderful use of truffles and a range of different spices. Having somewhere "Kosher style" for the full restaurant is particularly helpful for my wife who is allergic to shellfish. For once we didn't have to do a whole song and dance about how to be careful. We could just sit, relax, and eat whatever they served. Extra points for the music which set a fun cool vibe and seemed effortless. We'll definitely be back.

Easily one of the best kosher meals I have ever had. Quality was off the charts. You can taste the effort in every bite. Highly recommend.

We perused the menu and decided to go with the Naan, Beet and Rhubarb Salad, Yellowfin Sashimi, and then entrees grit cakes, low country broil, and dumplings. The food was exceptional. Nice combinations of flavors with fresh ingredients. Ambiance is nice. It's a cute spot, not too loud. Definitely a nice spot to relax. Service was fantastic. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My mom also has an allergy to chili and the staff was nice enough to go through the menu and help her pick options that worked. Overall, highly recommend Lola's! Lovely staff, flavorful food and a cute atmosphere will make for a fun evening.

The ambiance was great and I loved watching the food being cooked. Service was 10/10 and our waitress was really attentive. Apologies that her name is slipping me at the moment. I wish they had more items to choose from but overall would recommend. I had the low country boil and my friend had the pork dumplings and grit cakes, all very delicious. I will come back for the fried chicken thighs

When my son told me he'd found an apartment in New York, I was thrilled for him, then he mentioned it was above an Irish bar that stayed open until 4 a.m. I honestly didn't know what to expect. I made plans to help him move in, and not only was I pleasantly surprised, I quickly realized this was one of the nicest neighborhood spots in the city. Great drinks, good food, and consistently friendly service. It has everything you want in a local bar. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and the vibe is just right. A quick FYI...don't let those $5 happy-hour espresso martinis fool you. They're delicious, but they definitely pack a punch. There are great drink specials during the week, and of course, perfectly poured, ice-cold Guinness on tap. Whenever I'm in town and waiting for my son, I stop in and they always remember me. You can't ask for better service than that. If you're anywhere near 29th between Park and Madison, this place is an absolute must-stop.
