My sister-in-law and mother-in-law were willing to accompany me to try the new salon and so we purchased the groupons and scheduled our appointment. When we arrived, we were greeted nicely. The salon had a couple of artists, one whom I believed to be the owner. She was pleasant, welcoming, and friendly to us all. She enjoyed chatting, especially since we had our culture and background in common, which was a nice personal touch. Mamta, the owner, threaded my mother-in-laws eyebrows, while myself and my sister-in-law were threaded by the other artist. All of our eyebrows turned out the way we wanted, as both artists were willing to listen to our direction. Mamta added another special touch by showing my mother-in-law one of her eyebrows to ensure that she liked it before matching the other one. I had lip blush done about 3-4 years ago by someone else, and it was honestly a horrible experience. Over the last few months, I kept asking Anna if it was really supposed to hurt that much or if I had just gone to someone who didn't know what they were doing. Like any PMU procedure, it's never going to be completely comfortable, but it also shouldn't make you want to quit halfway through which is exactly how I felt the first time, and I have an abnormally high pain tolerance. Anna reassured me that it really shouldn't be that painful, and she was absolutely right. I'm not trying to knock another small business, but the difference was truly night and day. The first pass has to be done before numbing, so naturally that's the most uncomfortable part. After that, Anna reapplied numbing cream multiple times throughout the appointment, and honestly, all I could feel was the vibration of the machine. One thing I really admire about Anna is that she's constantly learning and testing new products to give her clients the best possible experience. She actually tried two different numbing creams during my appointment to compare them. The first worked ok, but the second was hands down the best numbing I've ever experienced. When I told her, she immediately thanked me for the feedback and said she'd be switching to that one going forward. That's the kind of dedication she has, she genuinely cares about making every appointment as comfortable as possible. The appointment itself is about three hours, but the time absolutely flies. Anna is so easy to talk to, has a great sense of humor, and somehow makes the whole experience feel effortless. One thing I love most is that opening her own storefront hasn't changed her at all. She's poured her heart and soul into building her business, yet she's still the same humble, kind, and genuinely grateful person she was before. She's the definition of a girl's girl. For anyone curious, we created a custom color by mixing Brownie Pink and Choco Mauve to get a more neutral brown-toned lip. We tested several combinations on my hand until we found the perfect shade, and I really appreciated how patient she was. She wanted to make sure the color was exactly what I envisioned before we even started. I am beyond happy with how my lips turned out. They already look incredible, and the healing process has been unbelievably easy. The first time I had lip blush done (at a different place), my lips swelled to nearly four times their normal size (I'm not exaggerating) and stayed that way for five days. I was so embarrassed that I wore a mask whenever I went out. This time? Virtually no swelling, and healing has been a breeze. I can't wait to see the final color once everything settles over the next few weeks. Anna deserves every bit of success that's come her way. She continuously invests in herself, her education, and her clients, always looking for ways to improve an experience that's already exceptional. I read many positive reviews about eyebrow threading at Pari Beauty Salon, so I got an appointment. I wasn't sure what to expect since this is during the COVID19 time, but both the eyebrow threading & sanitary procedures were excellent. COVID19 SANITARY PRECAUTIONS: EXCELLENT Only 1 customer at a time is allowed in -- others are required to remain outside or in their vehicle. When you enter, a face mask is required (Illinois mandate). Then you are required to use hand sanitizer on your hands, take a pen from the "clean" holder & write down your name & info, returning the used pen to a "used" holder. Pooja then does a temperature scan and your temperature is recorded next to your name. Pooja is wearing a mask the whole time. EYE BROW THREADING & SHAPING: EXCELLENT Pooja has figured out a way to do eyebrow threading while wearing a mask. Now I wasn't sure how this might work out -- you might suspect that modifying a technique could produce substandard results but this is not the case. Pooja has managed to maintain high quality threading & shaping even while wearing a mask! That is outstanding. I have been having eyebrow threading done for the past 15 years or so in several states.
