Never, ever again. I've tried twice. The first time (about two months ago) the older gentleman did my gel polish change on my natural nails. It was the absolute sloppiest job I have ever ever experienced. I tried to live with it but could not. I went back the same day to have them fix it and it was about 50% better. Still no care or concern for doing having the job be neat. I just left - no need to argue this just showed me the extent to which they value their clientele (not at all). I tried again because it was convenient to another place I was going. LAST TIME EVER. #1 they tried assigning me to the older gentleman that did such a terrible job the last time. I politely refused. So, the younger gentleman said he would take me. It literally felt like he was taking out his lack of appreciation for me not wanting the older gentleman's assistance. I went and got my nails done today (elsewhere). When the polish was removed (by them) I was HORRIFIED to see how the guy at AJ's had literally taken the enamel off of my natural nails by his aggressive use of the tool. I am furious. Social distancing and masks are required. Very clean salon. They also have any, and every color polish, you can think of. Super professional as well. They have the plastic dividers for your safety and theirs when you get a manicure or pedicure. I got both done and glad I did come here. My feet and nails are really cute. I got the white on both of them and they look so professional. I went to station #2 for my nails and the gentleman did my pedicure. I was really relaxed and almost fell asleep. Lol! I wish I was kidding but every single person in my family said "oh did you paint your nails your self?" Ouch. I went in to get a broken acrylic fixed and my nail tech was so brutal with my nails she ended up ripping off another one and then charging for it, buffing my skin till I bled and then continuously asking me to come back and get my nails done here again. On top of all of that, they are so unprofessional. It felt really harsh and awkward and when she wanted me to do something like straighten my hand or wash them, she would slap my hand and point?? This was my first visit I showed up an hour before closing and did not receive a rush job. I received awesome service and after 1 week my nails still look good! I have natural nails and received the shellac manicure and polish change on my toes the technician took her time to complete both hands and toes, she even made sure I was satisfied with the color I selected in my toes before she completed the job, thank goodness she did because the color I originally selected did not look good on me, she patiently waited for me to select another color before proceeding. Worst experience ever getting my nails done! I went in for a full set and the lady, Hong Tang, was so rude to me. First of all she was talking and laughing so hard to the other nail tech next to her. She was more focused about what was happening outside the windows then my nails and kept messing up. It was so uncomfortable I wanted to leave as soon as I walked in! She was very rough with my hands, cutting me. When she needed me to do things like get up and wash my hands she would slap my hands hard to tell me. I won't ever be going back there. Aj's nails is the closest nail salon to me so I decided to give it a go. Based on the area I had prior expectations and to what I would encounter and it was pretty much what I had in mind. The clientele leaves a lot to be desired to say the least, rude and disrespectful is an understatement. The staff is calm and patient but doesn't deal with the bull either. After an outburst from a customer I saw staff snap right back. It got a bit uncomfortable and tense but the work I received was quality. First I would like to start off by saying, do not own a business if you don't know what customer service is. Today around 6:50pm my friend and I went for a pedicure at this establishment. We walked in and no one greeted us; everyone looks but does not say a word. We sit and wait to be serviced. Five minutes go by and no one speaks nor ask what type of service were looking for. A man then starts staring at me so I speak and he ask how can he help. I inform him on what we would like then he begins to SLOWLY prepares the water for us. Maybe 10 more minutes go by and We finally sit. As I'm waiting he comes over and ask "Do I just want a pedicure, no color.." His tone of voice was just out right nasty. I then get upset because he's now treating me like I'm just a peasant. I can afford anything I come into a salon and ask for. Don't just assume that I want the cheapest thing because of my ethnicity or appearance. As I'm sitting there I'm thinking about the whole situation and decided I'm not spending my money where I'm not respected. I then proceed to take my feet out the water dry them off and decline any service. We and I'm speaking for my Africans Americans have to learn how to stop spending our money were we're not respected, acknowledged, or even wanted. I'm going to stop here because I can go on about my whole experience. Before leaving I asked to speak with the owner which happened to be the guy who was being rude and very judgmental. Establishment is very clean, well kept. Walked in on a Friday because it was close to home but will not be going back. I asked for short almond shaped nails and was told it would be $10 more than the base rate of a full set because of the shape. The woman shaped them as very very long stilettos so I told her that was not what I wanted and that I needed them a lot shorter. She told me they wouldn't look good shorter than what they were and that she would only file them a bit to 'fix' the length. I wasn't impressed with her file work either. Only three nails look okay, all the others are crooked. I was at the salon for 3.5 hours only for a full set. I waited about 20 but the rest of the time I was in the chair. I understand it was a Friday and the woman told me they had a few techs take the day off. I had no problem with them multi tasking until a man took over for the woman for a few minutes. He was using the electrical filing machine that evens out the acrylic when he got to close to my skin and sliced my thumb. Honestly it has happened before but it was a deep cut with blood this time. When the woman returned she saw the cut and apologized the rest of the time I was there but did nothing about it. Walked in expecting a 1.5 hour salon experience to leave with short almond nails and actually left 3.5 hours later with long stiletto crooked nails and a bloody thumb after spending $25 more than I usually do for a full set read more

This place is absolutely absurd. One of the workers did my nails and she was very clumsy. She kept messing up on my nails while polishing them. She left me in the middle of her painting to polish someone else's nails which is so unprofessional. And then when she came back she began polishing and she kept messing up my nails. So I was there for 2 hours. Then then literally the next day my nail broke and one cracked which is ridiculous (why are they so fragile?). So I come back to the nail salon the next day and show her my nails. Then she began making up excuses saying that my nail was broken before I got my filling which is false. She begins to protest saying that she was not going to fix my nail. So I gave her an ultimatum saying you can either fix my nail or give me a refund. She said neither, she must don't know that I can have this place shut down. So she rudely said, "go sit in the back and I'll be back" and began speaking about the situation to a client she was dealing with. Then I ask one of the male workers if he knew one of the female workers name and he rudely said, "go ask her for yourself ". She began to fix my nail after having me wait for an entire hour and she still didn't do it right. This place needs to be either shut down or those people need to be fired. The pedicure was great but they did a TERRIBLE job on my gel fill in. My nail broke the same day and within a week the gel polish started chipping off. Some of the nails felt lumpy and thicker at the tips, I just hate getting my nails done here. I've been here 3 times and tried 3 different techs and each trip has been horrible. I can't even give them a star. I'm a business owner my self and my customers satisfaction is everything to me. I went and got a pedi/Mani and wax eyebrows. Let's just say I will never step foot there for any of those services again. The gel polish I got for my mani was coming off 3 days later my eyebrows had been messed up because the girl took to much I just asked for a cleaning and on top kept pinching me witch caused little scabs when I went back in to have them fix the problem. Every one had a attitude about it. The girl who did my eyebrows dined that she ever did them but I had to remind her of the conversation we had and then she had no choice but to accept it the wanted to charge me to paint them again I refused and just asked if the can take the gel off and that's it. The owner aj didn't know how to make the situation a good one all I asked was for a different brand but allowed a unsatisfied client walk out his door even after I told him I will be writing a review. NEVER AGAIN. I own a cleaning biz and gel is the only thing that stays on is not my first time but as a owner if my client isn't happy even if I have to give them a free one I will rather then s bad review and unhappy client. I'm very disappointed in his money driven they are rather then customer services I give the negative 5 to be honest. I ended up going to Sally's and getting my own gel kit. read more
