I need a pedi done asap on a Sunday. I was hesitant in coming because its inside walmart. Well i was wrong. The traditional pedicure is $25, i was a little surprise cause i usually pay $20. They incude a lot in this pedicure and its worth the extra $5. There was no line and they took there time with my feet, which is always a plus. I also did my eyebrows, they were cheaper than other places. They are very detailed and did not stop until they were perfect. First off 50 basic gel pedi. The lady that did my toes acted like she didn't know what was she doing. Took her about 1 1/2 hrs to do this and it didn't even come out nice ! When she was done I didn't look at the detail work since it was pretty late and I wanted a full acrylic set. When it was time to get my set done the 2 lady's where arguing. About who was going to service me because they did not was to stay and work. I got there at 330 and when the lady was done with my toes it was 5 they close at 6. Bad bad bad customer service ! First I would like to say I am extremely disappointed in the service I was given by your staff in the Gibsonton Fl. When I walked in I was greated by a nice woman who asked what I wanted done. I told her a pedicure which she brings me over to a chair that looked like it had not been clean in this dark corner while every other chair was open because the entire place was empty other then myself. once I sat down the manager Lisi Pedro came over and asked me what color I wanted. She didnt give me any choices to look at or anything thing to choose what pedicure I wanted with a price sheet that I could pick what pedicure I wanted. I tell her I am thinking a cloudy white. she comes over with two options and I choose the color white I think looks close enough to cloudy white since I only got 2 to pick from. She then says Gel or regular. I told her how much for the gel. She responds back $50.00!! I could not believe a basic pedi would be that much so I told her that I found a flyer on Facebook that said $25.00 pedi sundays only. I show her the flyer and she tells me to hold on. she then gets on the phone and comes back 2 to 3 mins later saying it would be $45.00 for a pedi and that the flyer was only for the nail salon at the brandon causeway Wal-Mart. I kindly said no thank you, I will go some place else and that across the road at NY nails they have pedis for 35.00 with gel for basic so I will just go over there but thank you so much for their time. she stops me before I can get up and says dont worry we will do it for $35.00 so I agree to stay. The woman who greeted me sits down infront of me and turns on this dingy old small looking ring light and gets the water ready. She then begins to start my pedi and the first thing wrong is the water wont bubble and the manager has to come over to fix it. That takes 10 mins but once its fixed everything else started to finally go smoothly till she starts painting my toe nails. When I tell you it looks like my 5yr old son painted my toe nails I mean there is nail polish all over my toes. It looks so awful that when I got home my mother in law who just meet me in the driveway asked me if my husband helped me paint my toes and if I wanted she would pay for me to go get them done professionally while she watches my kids. I wanted to cry because I just got home from a nail salon that i thought was going to be professional and look absolutely beautiful for my husband 33rd birthday dinner we were going to that evening which is why my mother in law was at my house to watch my kids while we went out. Yet I am so embarrassed to wear heals or a dress and show my toes because they look absolutely humiliating. I did not say anything to the manager about how upset I was about how poorly my toes looked because she already tried to get me to pay $50.00 for this pedi and I got her to allow me to pay $35.00. I did not want to make it seem like I didnt want to pay or have the money to pay it so I just kept silent but deep inside I wanted to run out of that walmart go home grab sneakers and go back to finish my shopping because It looked soooo bad. I also didnt want to insult the older woman who did my pedi because she did seem very kind hearted and other then the absolutely terrible paint job she did try to make everything else enjoyable. Plus Not Only did I Pay the $35.00 because I did not want to make a scene or make it look like I was trying to start problems or even make it look like I was just trying to get a service done for free but I also tipped the nail tech 15 percent because like I said other then the paint job she tried to make my experience nice. My advice to the manager Clean Your Salon, give your staff proper lighting, find a way to give your customers a price list before they sit down to decide what service they would like and how much it will cost, give your customers a color pallet to pick from and dont try and rob your customers by throwing out randon prices that you think that customer will fall for because even at the most expensive 5 star nail salon the most you would pay for a basic pedi is $50.00 with gel. DAVI NAILS IN WALMART is not 5 star, it is maybe 3 stars but after today I am not even sure it should be 2 stars. The people were nice enough, however the quality of the nails is lacking. I got a acrylic full set for $50 and this is what I ended up with (see pictures). There is a noticeable gap between my cuticle and the base of the acrylic nail, basically looks like I need a fill. Extremely crusty around cuticle (other customers mentioned as well in reviews) and also notice the extreme thickness of the nails. The nail length and nor shape were even. The lady kept saying my nail was too small and "too much skin" on my cuticle and kept cutting it, which was painful. Lastly, UV light was used which I'm not a fan. Had my nails done before at other nail places and never had anyone struggle with my nail size although I do know they are on the smaller size. I barely get any time to do any self care as a mom and on my few free hours this is what I got.Worst nails I've personally got done. I have done press ons that look more natural and neat than this. Anyways hope this helps. Review Update: What brought me in was the review photos on yelp. After reviewing the business page I see the owner and techs changed a year ago. Never opens on time. Hours are 9:30 to 7 pm and they may show up at 10 or 10:30. Poor customer service if you can't get to work on time.

The people are very nice and the girls that work there are doing they very best to accommodate your needs.

Staff is nice, but this is how my nails looked when leaving. Crusty. I was charged $40 for colored acrylic when I brought my own. That makes no sense. A regular full set is $25. Won't be returning for that reason. Tried to find a nail salon closer to my new home but I'll rather travel 1.5 hour to my old salon because she doesn't charge me extra when I bring my own materials and I don't leave with acrylic residue. read more

I came in at 5:25 for a manicure after making a "reservation" for 5:20. I arrived there and the salon was full. I told them I wanted acrylic manicure and the owner advised that I should get a pedicure First and that he'll start on my nails shortly. I hesitated stating that I have a hard stop at 7 PM and was advised confidently that it should all be finished by that time. The manicure never happened, my pedicure was done by 7:10, took 1 hour and 40 minutes and they don't have the ability to multitask. Standard walmart salon, disorganized and unreliable. I am 44 years old and have never had my nails done. I got married on 8/8 and pondered over and over again if I should do my nails. On a last minute WM shopping spree, I decided to stop in the nail salon. There was no wait. May was absolutely amazing. I was SO HAPPY with my nails. I decided to let her paint my toes too. I tried another place closer to home for my 2nd nail color. I was not at all happy with them. For my 3rd nail color, I wanted to see May. She was not in when I needed them done :( They were done by Raven. She was just as nice and great as May. I enjoy both the ladies attention to detail, wonderfully done nails and enjoyable conversation. As long as my nails are done right and they last, I will keep coming here. read more
