We're in the area for birdwatching, and stopped in for breakfast one day and lunch the next. After just one prior visit, we were recognized and greeted warmly. I had my usual: French toast with blueberries, eggs over easy, and sausage, with coffee. Perfection. The next day, not so hungry, we split a BLT and sweet potato fries, again, perfect. Funny signs cover the walls, and Darwin Awards videos play above the lunch counter. Good place!

Even with that, service, while friendly, was a bit slow...at the start, as well as throughout. My wife still loves the lamb shank, and this one didn't disappoint. I tried the steak and fries for the first time. While it was cooked well, I didn't find it to be the most flavorful or tender steak I've had. My wife liked it, so perhaps she'll get that on a future visit. My daughter got the bison burger special, but as she's not a fan of bison, she swapped it out for a beef patty. She thought the burger was ok..,not sure if she'd get it again or not. I might try a burger, either the bison or regular beef, on a future visit, as they always look good. Fries were just like McDonald's, which isn't a bad thing. There are some cheaper restaurants in town, but you could certainly do worse for a dinner out than coming here.

The dad helps with the socializing and cleaning bringing drinks over. Bless his heart. Never met anybody like that in the Restaurant business. we had a long talks with both of them and nice folks, but I think they are getting a little tired. My husband had prime rib and I had barbecue ribs. They were both excellent with rolls. Green beans were just regular green beans and we had potatoes. thank you for your hospitality and if we're ever back again in your area, and you are still around, we will pop in and get some more grub. If not, I hope you have a beautiful retirement both of you when that happens for you two.

At first I didn't think it was open. Only one vehicle in the parking lot. I peered in through the door and didn't really see anyone. I went back outside to take some photos of the business and an older man came partially out the door and told me they were open. I finished outside and in I went. The interior was themed with John Wayne and I only saw about 8 tables. The lights are very low and the atmosphere was quiet. The gentleman brought me a water and soon after a waitress appeared. I had fried sliced dill pickles for an appetizers. YUM I ordered from The Littleton Pilgrim section. I ordered the 4oz Top Sirloin Dinner extremely well done. My sides were steak fries and fresh green beans and home made rolls. My steak was cooked perfect for me and the fries and green beans were so fresh. The rolls were a little over done but very flavorable. A little pricy for dinner but great food and service. $$$$ The interior is vintage dated with, hard to see with just old low lights hanging. Heavily decorated with John Wayne items and old jukebox off to the side of the bar. Great place to reminisce and enjoy a nice meal!

One of my team members wanted NA beer, they are out of that too. So many items 86'd for a restaurant that is in a prime area and attached to a hotel. Menu seems to change with the seasons which is nice and I do appreciate their GF options. I doubt we go back, but had a decent meal both times we went. Would say it is not a place for large groups.
