Dinner here on a Friday night, we had a reservation but probably didn't need it. We were surprised that the restaurant was only about half full at 7:00. Even with that, service, while friendly, was a bit slow...at the start, as well as throughout. My wife still loves the lamb shank, and this one didn't disappoint. I tried the steak and fries for the first time. While it was cooked well, I didn't find it to be the most flavorful or tender steak I've had. My wife liked it, so perhaps she'll get that on a future visit. My daughter got the bison burger special, but as she's not a fan of bison, she swapped it out for a beef patty. She thought the burger was ok..,not sure if she'd get it again or not. I might try a burger, either the bison or regular beef, on a future visit, as they always look good. Fries were just like McDonald's, which isn't a bad thing. There are some cheaper restaurants in town, but you could certainly do worse for a dinner out than coming here. read more

Second time to Tribe. This restaurant is consistent in great food and service. Please try the smoked salmon dip! It is a beautiful presentation with many add ons such as pickled onions, it is all fresh salmon. No filler. The steak frites is delicious. My husband had the Pineapple Express burger with bison. The waiter that helped us was wonderful and attentive and answered all our questions. We started with margaritas and they were perfection and so pretty! It was ok - it wasn't great. Their menu is super small from what I saw online. Online I saw pics of Benedict's but the menu they had that day had none. I got the Mama's special with the mini stack of corn cakes, eggs and I think was a charred dried hashbrown. I just ate the corn cakes which were amazing if i could just have a big stack of corn cakes I would eat that. The eggs were dry and over cooked and the I think hashbrown patty was charred To a crisp. I've been wanting to try Tribe at Riverwalk for a while. I decided to eat breakfast here on a Saturday morning. I like the location of this establishment as it's right in the heart of downtown Castle Rock. Parking on the street is a challenge due to the limited number of spaces. You will most likely need to use a nearby public parking garage. The ambiance of this place isn't bad. They weren't that crowded for a Saturday morning. However, the weather wasn't that great. Noise level wasn't bad at all. There were some patrons nearby but they weren't that loud. For breakfast, I ordered their cornmeal pancakes. It comes with three pancakes with fresh strawberries on top, nice gob of butter on top with a small jar of berry syrup. You have the option to order sides. They charge extra, of course. I ordered a side of over-medium eggs. They offer two eggs. I also ordered a side of breakfast s My server, Luke, was very kind. He had a good sense of humor as well. Overall, the food tasted just OK. Nothing spectacular or anything that "wow'd" me. I liked that the pancakes were thin and there was plenty of butter that melted quickly. Also, coffee was OK as well. I wouldn't mind trying a meal at dinner time. I'm in no hurry to return though. Also, for the amount of food I ordered, the final bill of sale was moderate. Not cheap but not expensive. read more

My preconceived notion (without even been here), this place was going to be too bougie and not worth it. But it was an early Valentine's Day date night...so maybe it would be worth it? We had a 7pm reservation, I called and said we would be late. They said "that's fine". We got there at 7:20 and started waiting in the little atrium entry area. Pro tip: there is a lounge area which is much better to wait in. The place was slammed busy, and we were told it would still be a while for our table. At this point I'd thinking that I would be writing a one star review. The wait was long, but they were apologetic and offered us seats at the bar (which has the full menu). We said no, but order some drinks while we chatted and waited in the lounge. The Sazerac was delicious. We ended up sitting at the kitchen bar, choosing that over a table that came open at the same time. We split the goat cheese brûlée appetizer. The cheese and topping were excellent..the toast was a little over done for my taste, but that wasn't enough to detract from how good this was. My wife and I both ordered the Valentines Day special (flat iron steak, lobster tail, potatoes and asparagus). The flat iron steak was done perfectly. Better than any other flat iron that I can remember. Cooked perfectly, with a wonderful crust on it, and the sauce was a perfect compliment. The lobster! Wow wow wow! I have had lobster from Boston to Hawaii to Tokyo and this was prepared as well as any other that I have had. The potatoes were a good accompaniment, and the asparagus was tasty. I had the red wine that they recommended with it (I believe it was called Lost Poet). It was a very fruit forward, but a great wine to pair with the steak that didn't over power the delicate lobster. At this point in the meal, I found that every bite on this plate was perfect. I was in a blissful happy place. We chatted with the staff a bit, and every one was incredibly nice. The evening was capped off with a flourless chocolate cake dessert with some amazing raspberry sauce and cream. Not only did Tribe deliver a perfect meal and experience, they won me over. This type of place is exactly what Castle Rock needs....instead of driving north for a special night out, Tribe is a place that people to should come to Caste Rock specifically for. read more

The atmosphere was fun, the service was great, the food... sucked. We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday with a friend. I ordered the mama's special. It was just okay, nothing really stood out about it. I thought the corn pancakes would be better but they were just really bland. Our friend also ordered this dish and felt just the same. She said the only saving grace on hers was that she got runny eggs which make everything better. Being pregnant I had to settle for fully cooked eggs so I asked for scrambled with cheese. Unfortunately the eggs were brought out with a ton of freshly ground salt and thick cut pepper.... am I not allowed to season my own food? My wife ordered the quinoa b-bowl and it was just inedible! The entire bowl was coated in chili oil so it was blazing hot after 2 bites. No where on the menu did it say spicy or chili oil so we assume that was the "house salsa"?! read more

Incredible experience with something for everyone. The chef crafted options at Tribe will hit home with those looking for something sophisticated or someone looking to just keep things simple. You can choose to order small plates to share (which are served in refreshingly meaningful portions) or larger entrees. To start we had the CasaPolitan - a riff on the cosmo with hatch-infused vodka. We also had the Goat Cheese Brûlée served with toast. The goat cheese had the classic brûlée crust but topped with pineapple, honey and pine nuts. Great flavors and textures. For mains my wife ordered the honey lime shrimp (fried) and fall roasted squash soup. Both were great. I ordered the diver scallops - bacon wrapped. The scallops were served on top of a mushroom spatzle which brought great balance to the dish. I probably would not opt for bacon next time - it was a bit overpowering. I live in Denver, but I found this place on an Instagram foodie page. So glad I stopped in. It was the perfect spot for brunch and catching up with my aunt. We love a little elevated, upscale, but relaxing atmosphere. We came during happy hour for some shareable plates and the mimosa flight which came with three different juices. Service was good. Our server seemed new and not very experienced with the menu but he was friendly and was helpful. Our favorite plate was the duck carnitas. The goat cheese brûlée was a little too sweet to our liking (and our toast was a little burnt). The mushroom toast was good but I wouldn't brag about it. We'll definitely be back! We ate here for our wedding anniversary celebration, and the staff was very attentive and kind. Their conscientiousness was evident in small details, like you could see every staff member holding wine glasses up to the light to make sure they were clean if they were putting them away or setting a table. They also thanked us for our patience because it suddenly got very busy and there was a slight delay in one of our final drinks, but it was really no big deal at all. The cocktails were EXCELLENT- they are unique and nuanced, and not so heavily flavored that they become something you don't want to finish. They were a big highlight. Also a highlight - the goat cheese creme brûlée. You can't go wrong with cheese + brûlée, but it was delicious. Our entrees were good too - I tried the short rib stroganoff and my husband tried the steak with chimichurri and fries. My entree was tasty, but very rich and maybe could have been better balanced with more creme fraiche or microgreens. The steak was good, but the fries were just fries. Next time, we're looking forward to trying something else, maybe the other steak dish or the mushroom bucatini. For dessert, we had the pot de crème, which was also tasty. Also loved the decor and atmosphere here. The staff made it really special. It does get a bit loud, so this may not be the right place if you're looking for quiet and intimate. 2021 - my birthday and stopped in with hubby for a drink before heading to our dinner destination. I loved the atmospher and "vibe" and told hubby I definitely wanted to come back for dinner. Fast forward (or not) 365 days later and finally made it! I don't often post 5 stars - but I must say this was one of the best meals I have had in a very very long time. I have only had trout one other time and really enjoyed it but was I ready to try it on this special night? I thought - why not - step out of your to-go box and try the stealhead trout in a brown butter potato pure. So incredibly delicious, I'm having a hard time putting into words. A very mild, slightly pink fish and cooked perfectly. I want to go back tomorrow and order it again! Hubby had steak and fries which sounds basic but it was far from. Cooked med rare with a chimichurri sauce - this flat iron had "tons of melt-in-your-mouth flavor". He loved it. We also ordered the green chili corn bread w/ dinner.
