Beer battered onion rings and a vodka cranberry. Yum

Great little hidden gem. We stopped for the night in Brush before heading on to Nebraska. John Wayne themed cozy little place. Prices are very very fair. Hubby had an enormous Tbone and I had an excellent chicken fried steak. Was a nice end to a tiresome day on the road.

True Grit is in an older building, they have booths, tables, and a bar where they do serve liquor. My husband and I both got the chicken fried steaks. They were not home making, straight out of the box. Thick fries and green beans, house salad. The ranch dressing was good. The food was good, and we left full. The bill around $24.00. Better than fast food. Loved the John Wayne them's.

We were seated immediately. We were brought bread and water for the whole table along with the menus, which was very simple menu that I really appreciated. This diner used to be a truckstop back in the day and now it is a little diner for strictly steaks and it was a wonderful atmosphere. Everybody was really nice, smiling and chitchatting and having a good time there was no TVs there was no music just everybody talking and having a good time the steaks were cooked to perfection as well as the baked potatoes. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was very good. Everybody was gracious and appreciative of their customers I definitely will go back so if you're ever out headed east look for the flaming steakhouse you won't be disappointed. The service is always on point and they're always super accommodating. It's a place where there are always tons of locals who order the bacon extra crispy and know that an order of French toast will feed a family of four. they are known for their homemade desserts, including cinnamon rolls, which are about the size of your head. Wheelchair accessibility: there are two accessible parking spaces outside of the restaurant, although neither of them has an access lane. And you're gonna need two extra humans to get a wheelchair through the doors. Both entrances are double door with a right turn and they are difficult to navigate. The aisles are really narrow between tables, but like I said the staff will help make it work. The bathroom is wheelchair accessible however it's really hard to get into because there's a swinging set of saloon doors that actually make it impossible to open the other doors. So you might need another set of hands

Prime rib sandwiches are nice after they've had prime rib as a special. A breakfast burrito is excellent. Stuffed sopaipilla is my go to. One downside is when my mom orders a beef and cheese sopaipilla she has often had them put beans in it. Not sure who makes this mistake, but it's apparent paying attention to details occurs from time to time.

Parts and Labor Brewing Company was a complete disappointment. We stopped in just before 9:30 PM…read morehoping for wings and a beer, only to be turned away despite plenty of customers still dining inside. Apparently serving paying customers a few minutes before closing was too much to ask. My reply to the owner... Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, your response reinforces the concerns I expressed in my original review. Rather than addressing the customer experience, you chose to dismiss it by focusing on the time we arrived and by implying that my review was the result of me "needing a great day." That kind of sarcasm does not reflect the level of professionalism customers should expect from a business owner. You stated that you personally saw us enter at 9:40 PM and that the kitchen had already closed at 9:30 PM. However, I take accuracy seriously, and I do not appreciate being misrepresented. I have a screenshot documenting the time I left your establishment, which directly contradicts the timeline presented in your response. If the facts are important enough for you to publicly defend your business, they should also be important enough to present truthfully. To be clear, businesses have every right to establish kitchen hours and closing procedures. Had the situation simply been explained professionally and courteously, my review likely would have reflected that. What stands out is not the policy itself, but the way concerns were handled afterward. I travel extensively throughout the United States and internationally, reviewing small family-owned businesses because I genuinely enjoy supporting them. In many cases, when an owner responds thoughtfully and demonstrates a commitment to customer service, I am willing to reconsider or update a review. In this case, however, instead of leaning into customer service and understanding, you chose to defend, justify, and direct sarcasm toward a customer. I can accept mistakes. What I have a much harder time accepting is dishonesty. The screenshot of the time I left your establishment speaks for itself. I wish you and your business the best, but I stand by my review. To make matters worse, we had a similar experience elsewhere in Sterling when a Sonic employee snapped at us for trying to place an order. Thankfully, Village Inn restored a little faith in customer service with friendly staff, welcoming patrons, and genuine hospitality. If you're traveling through town, don't expect Parts and Labor to go out of its way for customers. We were in and out in under a minute--with nothing but a bad impression to take with us.
