True Grit is in an older building, they have booths, tables, and a bar where they do serve liquor. My husband and I both got the chicken fried steaks. They were not home making, straight out of the box. Thick fries and green beans, house salad. The ranch dressing was good. The food was good, and we left full. The bill around $24.00. Better than fast food. Loved the John Wayne them's.

We were seated immediately. We were brought bread and water for the whole table along with the menus, which was very simple menu that I really appreciated. This diner used to be a truckstop back in the day and now it is a little diner for strictly steaks and it was a wonderful atmosphere. Everybody was really nice, smiling and chitchatting and having a good time there was no TVs there was no music just everybody talking and having a good time the steaks were cooked to perfection as well as the baked potatoes. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was very good. Everybody was gracious and appreciative of their customers I definitely will go back so if you're ever out headed east look for the flaming steakhouse you won't be disappointed. Don't always rely too heavily on reviews as everyone has different standards and opinions. Staff may have been having a bad day. The hostess, Sarah was so nice and friendly how was the server, Kenna. The baked potato was phenomenal. Loaded with sour cream, cheese, and bacon bits. I ordered my steak, medium and noticed it was slightly over probably closer to medium well, but didn't mind because it was tender and delicious. Both Sarah and Kenna came by to ask how it was and I told them it was great. They both noticed it looked a little dark and offered to take it back, but I refused. I appreciate them being so alert. Overall an outstanding experience.

The service is always on point and they're always super accommodating. It's a place where there are always tons of locals who order the bacon extra crispy and know that an order of French toast will feed a family of four. they are known for their homemade desserts, including cinnamon rolls, which are about the size of your head. Wheelchair accessibility: there are two accessible parking spaces outside of the restaurant, although neither of them has an access lane. And you're gonna need two extra humans to get a wheelchair through the doors. Both entrances are double door with a right turn and they are difficult to navigate. The aisles are really narrow between tables, but like I said the staff will help make it work. The bathroom is wheelchair accessible however it's really hard to get into because there's a swinging set of saloon doors that actually make it impossible to open the other doors. So you might need another set of hands

Prime rib sandwiches are nice after they've had prime rib as a special. A breakfast burrito is excellent. Stuffed sopaipilla is my go to. One downside is when my mom orders a beef and cheese sopaipilla she has often had them put beans in it. Not sure who makes this mistake, but it's apparent paying attention to details occurs from time to time.

The fried zucchini starter was surprising & excellent. These are not the usual chips which are mostly heavy breading, these are spears in a light breading so you mostly taste zucchini instead of "fried". The horseradish dip was sharp without being overpowering. I had the mojo tacos which were well dressed & not over seasoned. The jalapeños seem to be house pickled & were unexpectedly intense. My wife had half a rack of ribs which were quite tender. They're heavily sauced so if you prefer yours less sweet or less sticky you may want to ask if this step could be skipped but the extra sauce is good on the pile of hand cut fries the ribs come with. I haven't seen a snakebite on offer in a long time. A nice choice with tangy food & a welcome relief from the endless taps of IPA most places lean so heavily on these days. For being the apparent in-house restaurant for a hotel, whoever is designing the dishes & executing the cooking clearly cares more than one would expect. If you're nearby, I'd say it is not to be missed!

I started with a delightful mocktail, moved on to perfect boneless buffalo wings, & ended with the 7 ounce filet mignon & giant baked potato for lunch. The filet was cooked to absolute perfection - exactly how I like it. The potato was delightful - it was probably 12 ounces with real butter (they have fresh sea salt grinders on the table, and that was also wonderful, as I'm a salt girl). The ambience is 100% Wyoming steakhouse which I love and honestly everything was five stars. They have a great bar and tons of parking in the lot or on the street. Go!!

Came out on a hot hot plate, which, I believe, is critical, since the prolonged higher temp keeps the fat rendering until you cut the meat. And a good ribeye has tasty fat which runs clear and full of flavor when it's served correctly. Garlic mushrooms were fantastic. Cream spinach excellent. Seth was my server. Good guy. Was covering another section and saw me sitting and waiting for an extended time so he came over to get me started. Incidentally, I ordered a Coke and water with a bunch of lemon wedges. He legit brought a bunch of lemon wedges with my two drinks. No one ever gets what a bunch of lemons is. He nailed it. Basically, if I ask for a bunch of lemons, when I'm done eating, there should be a few wedges left. Happy I stopped here.
