Nice service, and gamble games, but choice of pizza and being limited to certain types of sauce, other then that would recommend.

Steve & Irene's Hoagies (Mayfield, PA). Nov, 2024. My husband and I were visiting family in…read morenortheastern Pennsylvania over Thanksgiving, and were looking to eat something different after a few days of homemade turkey and sides. The "locals" suggested ordering take-out from this restaurant -- their favorite hoagie shop. Steve and Irene's is a mom and pop shop that has been in business for more than 40 years, and has been voted "best hoagie" in the valley for 10+ years. Nonetheless, I hesitated because they're located a few towns over, and would require someone to drive to go to pick them up. We reviewed their menu on-line, and called in an order for four 12" hoagies for four adults. The restaurant offers both 12" and 24" hoagies; they don't sell our usual smaller 6" ones. My husband ordered the Cheesesteak Special ($11.50), which includes green peppers, fried onions, mushrooms, and marinara sauce, while I chose an Eggplant Parmesan ($10.75). Others ordered a Corned Beef Reuben ($12.00), with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing, and a regular cheesesteak ($10.95). In retrospect, my husband and I should've ordered only one hoagie as the quantities were large and we ending up splitting one for dinner and ate the other one the next day. Of the two, we enjoyed the Cheesesteak Special more than the Eggplant Parmesan, largely because we prefer a hoagie with A-LOT of fillings and toppings and the cheesesteak had more. That said, while the taste was good, we still would've preferred more fillings and toppings on both. Our friends enjoyed both of their hoagies. We easily called in our order, and the girl who took our order apologized that it would take 55 minutes. However, it was actually ready in only about 35 minutes. Parking was easy. Staff were friendly. We would order from this hoagie shop again.

They greeted me as soon as I walked in, and even though my order wasn't ready right away, they gave me a free drink and chatted with me while the chicken cooked. Honestly, I really enjoyed being there. It might sound weird, but that kind of small, human interaction made all the difference. These days, a lot of places feel so impersonal, so it was nice to be reminded that the people serving you are just like you--they've got moms and dads, siblings, and lives of their own. For a chain, this place really stood out.

I'd give it no stars if app allowed. Place is disgusting. My shoes stuck to the floor in there and…read moreon the mat at the register. It spells like a wet dog inside. I went against my better judgment just walking in the place, I asked them what the freshest chicken they had, and they said the original just came up, so I ordered that and I asked them how fresh the fries were and they said they just came up. Of course i get my food, Fries were warm and soggy. The chicken was barely warm and they gave me a thigh and breast when I asked for 2 breast and they up charged me. Place is disgusting. Threw the food out. What a waste. Not sure how they stay in business, I went to Eynon location because the one in Kaiser Oak I had even worser experience 3 months ago, these 2 locations must be under the same ownership. Don't waste your time or money, go to Popeyes. Owners, please visit your restaurant and go in there in the middle of the afternoon or anytime really and you tell me if you think that is satisfactory. You need to reset the bar/ retrain... the standard there is horrible, and I'm sure it's reflected in your sales revenue
