Today was judgement day: 4 stars or 5? After the meal we just had, 5 star dive bar with amazing food. Yes it's a little towny, the neighborhood locals "live" here, but it's friendly and the owner and bartenders keep it friendly. You'll feel welcome as soon as you sit down. This is our second time eating here and the food has been excellent. The wings are small and crispy and they have great sauces. Today we tried the potato pancakes and the half cheesecake with five wings combo. Those potato pancakes were among the best I ever had and half cheesesteak was absolutely delicious. Absolute dirt place, I'd rather eat off the floor of a McDonald's in Compton . Staff was unbelievably rude and poor slow service. The wings tasted like a 6 day old air fried rotisserie chicken that was left on a table all night , if that sounds appealing try it out! read more

Full honesty, LOVE this bar! Now non smoking, it's the definition of an unassuming neighborhood/dive bar. Cash only, drinks are very fairly priced. The regular assortment of bar food that ranges from good to delicious. Multiple televisions to watch the game, and a jukebox that isn't afraid to rock. Now the hard truth. Very unreliable hours. It's only open 4 out of 7 days Thursday-Sunday. Closing times are ver arbitrary. Some days it might be 6 PM. Some other days it might be 9 PM. Very tough to plan a night out when you don't know if the place you wanna go to is actually open. Have more definite closing hours, that way people can plan accordingly. read more

I Still love the Glass Onion and the food quality and low drink prices are still the same, although I like the food better when Josh the cook is on duty. Recently one of the regular bartenders, that has been there for a long time, has left. Her name is Peggy and she always made the costumers feel right at home. When she had time she would come over to where you were sitting and ask you how you are doing? She is genuinely interested in you and not just being phony to get a better tip. Her replacement is Josh and he is a great bartender and a nice guy to talk to. But it would be nice to see Peggy behind the bar again and hopefully someday she will be back behind the bar along with Josh the bartender and Josh the cook. read more

I live close by this place. It is a nice walk to get a beer even in the worst winter snow storm. The beer is cheap, the wings are great, and the fires are good. From what i hear it wasn't that "nice" before they remodeled. don't get me wrong, this place is not supermodel now, but it looks ok in there. you'd never know that from the outside. it does look a bit scary and possibly menacing, but go ahead, go inside, you'll like it. i promise. i get carded there all the time, ok i look young, so bring your ID. i think their wing night is Wednesday (i could be wrong) but they are pretty cheap any night of the week. they have lots of TVs so you won't miss your game. you don't need a lot of cash, and you'll leave satisfied. read more

one time i ordered a gin and tonic and steph gave me a gin and club, it was still iight though. good wings
