I would ideally give them 3.5 stars but that isn't an option. They were able to accommodate our large party which was great. We had a few maybe 3-4 different servers which created a little confusion on what might have been ordered and then reordered drink wise. We had the same issue with the food when it came out. The food was pretty good. We had burgers and quesadillas. The burgers got a good review from the table but some were way overcooked. The ambiance is what you would expect from a sports bar. Met a couple of my coworkers there to watch a game. Bartender walked by me twice and I had to flag him down for a beer. Dude gave me the ugliest stare ever ! Asked if I wanted a menu and he basically threw it at me ! One of my coworkers had a mixed drink. I asked if I can have one too. Worst drink in my life ! I was sitting at a table with my mask on while a group of about 15-20 standing people WITHOUT MASKS ON ALL NIGHT walked over to our table & were literally touching me because they were so close. I asked them to move back. They moved about 2 inches. I asked the bouncer Joe to ask them to move(because they had the whole bar to be in) and he said no you move to another table. Usually my family and i love getting takeout from you guys. Tonight we ordered what we always ordered and there were glaringly obvious issues. Firstly, the portions were halved pretty obviously. A container of fries was a third of what it used to be. Hey, I get it, we're in tough times. But that doesn't justify giving me rotten celery with my wings. Not dirty, but rotten inside and out. Awesome wings in a variety of flavors (spicy to sweet to tangy). Great chicken cheese steaks. Reasonable prices and a friendly staff in a family like atmosphere. Wanted to point out that the other review (Michelle C) of the pizza is not fair. She is obviously not familiar with "Old Forge" style pizza, which is what the Penalty Box serves. It is square pizza, but not traditional Sicillian. It has sweet sauce and American type cheese. I don't care for it either, but it is very popular in that area. The penalty box has some of the greatest bartenders I've ever seen. Laura and Jordan I've had the pleasure to patronize. They run their butts off and make sure everyone is served. The overall clientele of the box is awesome. You can get someone sitting next to you talking about sports, to someone talking about their work in China riding mopeds and hot rods in rural Shanghai. The service is great, the food is awesome. Just don't ask the help to turn on any Shopping channels if that's your thing. You will be meet with disdain. My co-drinker.... Clare and I, were shocked at the pushback of this humble request. We proceeded to enjoy more libations as this mockery of our intellect dissolved between our more attentive thoughts. Although our coasters may be turned upside down as some sort of diatribe scheme, Clare and I are much better than that. We got good tunes, good company and good vibes. Upgrade! On Saturday night, the 50 wings and an order of cheese fries that our drunken party of seven devoured in record time tasted like food of the gods. The wings were small but meaty, and cooked perfectly. There wasn't much variation between the different flavors, but that could also be because bones were flying in all directions and sauce was everywhere. This place is a dive bar. And i mean that in a good way. Cheap drinks, decent bar food, and they have occasional entertainment. The only issue I had on a couple of visits on a weekend were that patrons were incredibly intoxicated, should not have been served,and some guys were acting a bit aggressive. I chose pizza and wings for lunch with a few beers. Pizza was certainly frozen and just popped in the oven but still pretty good for 6 bucks. They have a great deal of sauces for their wings so they won't disappoint there. Wings could be much crispier though. Service is great and makes you feel more than welcome. You're able to smoke at the bar, buy music via free wifi, play a few games of pool or an arcade game or two, and use their lotto machine. The food here is great. Their wings are a very good size and have an excellent selection of sauces. Beer selection has improved tremendously. The service has always been great anytime I've gone there. Only drawback is that they allow smoking. If this was a non-smoking bar, I'd give it 5 stars. read more

The food was good I really liked their chorizo & cheddar stuffed jalapeños wrapped with bacon. The hot garlic wings weren't that hot but was flavorful. However, it took over 30 minutes to serve these appetizers and took nearly another 10-20 minutes to get the check & pay. Me and some friends were in town for a show and we were pretty excited to try the place out... Unfortunately we were greeted by an older woman with an attitude problem for a bar tender and were almost immediately asked to leave because because she didn't believe one of our ID's was really ours. (O'mallys down the street noticed it in fact was real and were happy to serve us). It's one thing to ask us to leave but the way she went about it was rude. She also pulled another customer into the situation by claiming he was with us and giving him a hard time about the situation as well. So if you're young and want to be starred at like you have two heads and then get your id declined, this is your bar. read more
