Had to take it to another vendor to change the battery. I don't know what I was charged for but basically did nothing. Waste of time.

I went in to have a battery put in my watch. While there she noticed a screw missing out of my watch band. She took the time to find a screw for this Paul Maret watch. Very good service. I highly recommend AJR watch repair. read more

Great experience at AJR. Highly recommend. Had work done on a watch strap and am very happy with results.

Brought 3 watches in for batteries. Young lady was pleasant and replaced batteries and reset time while I waited about 5 minutes. This is one of the speciality business Vallejo has. Crown Tailors, Shoe Hospital all are great to have in Vallejo. read more

Awesome experience! We stopped by AJR Watch Repair in Vallejo today to get my son's watch resized and I was blown away by how great the service was! The woman who helped us was so sweet and patient and made us feel right at home. It took her less than five minutes to sized down my son's watch and then took the time to make sure his watch fit perfectly. We even had the chance to pick out a couple of watches for my daughters that were sized down perfectly. The whole experience was so kind and welcoming. You can really tell they care about their customers. Each of my kids walked out beaming with excitement with their watches fitting perfectly. Fast, friendly, and incredibly reasonable pricing. We'll definitely be back! 10/10 recommend. read more

Came here to get some watches fixed. I just thought they needed a new battery, but the employee said they needed to be oiled to get the gears working again. I've never had to do that so I didn't know what to expect. It only took 10 minutes for both watches and cost $15 each plus tax. read more

I went to get a simple battery in my $2,500 Movado. All she had to do was take the back off, put in a battery, close it back and give it to me. She handed it back in pieces claiming corrosion had cause the wind piece to just come off. There was no corrosion only ineptnes. She said her name was Lynn. But she also said, she knew what she was doing to. Had the the nerve to charge me $45 for pulling to hard. read more

---------------------------------------------------------------- ZERO Stars - Unbelievable INCOMPETENCE --------------------------------------------------------------- -- I brought my brand new Bulova watch in to have the watch hands swapped out for antique styled watch hands. I provided my prior watch that had the hands I desired. -- The clerk said that upon ordering the hands, she would call me to confirm (she never did). After two weeks, I telephoned - and was assured the watch hands I had requested had been ordered (both via telephone and via text message) and they would call when the watch was ready -- One week later, they call. The watch hands are nothing like the ones we agreed upon. I was told that the hands I wanted were discontinued (contradicting her telephone and text message from the week prior) -- I told them to take it back and reset the ORIGINAL Bulova watch hands - as they had not performed the task as we had agreed upon -- Two weeks later, I find the watch hands are NOT the Original Bulova watch hand as we had agreed upon. -- The clerk sought to argue with me. That was what Bulova sent them. The technician was at fault. I told the clerk it is HER JOB to relay exactly what I requested. -- She said she would take it back again and order the exact Bulova hands. I said no. I have ZERO FAITH in the shop's capacity to perform any agreed upon work. -- I now have a Brand New Bulova Watch with UGLY Watch Hands . ################## -- INCOMPENTENT -- -- ARGUMENTATIVE -- -- DECEITFUL - ################## read more

i highly recommend this establishment, their customer service is excellent!!! prices are great too...

I took a watch in to have one link remove. The repairman convinced me that it wasn't necessary to remove a link to get the watch to fit my wrist snug. He then moved a pin on the fastener twice. While doing that one of his clocks began to chime. He snidely tells me to ignore it because it won't bite unless it does. He then charged me $10 plus tax for moving the pin on the fastener. I asked him how much it would have cost to remove the link. He said it would have cost the same. Not only was the charge excessive his snide attitude was unnecessary. read more

Great place! A staple of Vallejo! I support local, family owned, minority owned and woman owned businesses as much as I can. Just like any other long standing, operating business that has been around for decades there are ebbs and flows regarding the services offered, received and or provided, BUT it will always be my first stop. I trust the information I receive from them because if they're unable to repair it I can receive a referral to a location that offers the same quality of service. And there's nothing more comforting to hear after being told 'I can't help you', than a 'but I know where you can go'. Take a chance. Give them a try. If you like it great. If you don't still great because you supported a local business and reinvested in your community and at least you know for yourself and can find another location that is a better fit for the services you need. read more

Brought three of my watches in for repair today to have the batteries replaced. My prized Invicta Lupah, model 2222 was given back to me with the time set dial very loose. It broke completely when I got it home. Now I can't set it period! Apparently the Asian guy there either did not know how to set it, or was rushing to get the time set while other customers waited and broke it and did not take accountability for it. When I explained that's not how it was when I brought it in, he got some what rude, which made me even more suspicious. There is an old saying..."what goes around, comes around." Customers beware. Will not patronize this place again. read more

Friendly service, but note there are no guarantees on waterproof watches. Came in for a battery replacement for my waterproof watch. The technician was very clear that there was no guarantee if my watch would remain waterproof after the battery replacement due to the seal being broken. I accidentally took a shower with my watch on afterwards on found it is still waterproof even after battery replacement. read more

It's located INSIDE the Rite Aid. It was $7 to resize my new watch. I wore it right away (and for the first time) after the adjustment. Then the pin in my metal link band came loose, and my watch fell off after just one hour of wearing it! I spent hours looking for it. Amazingly, I found it on the ground in a store. It's too bad this happened because the two AJR employees I came into contact with were nice. read more

Fossil watch, needed battery. Technician (young man) broke the the stainless steel spring bar, while trying to remove the back cover for battery replacement. A piece of the stainless steel spring bar has lodged in seating area for spring bar. Technician indicated that there was rust and corrosion for the seating area of the steel spring bar. AJR sent my watch off premises to have it repaired. Had to call and then visit to see status of when I could expect my watched returned. Week 3, no news. read more

I'm sitting here in front of the store bc the guy behind the counter only put a new battery in. He didn't set the time nor did he set the clock. First off, this place was a referral from a good friend of mind that took his Omega Seamaster for service. He said he had a good experience. I took my Tag Heuer in for service as it has not been functioning properly. The watch needs a service every 5 years or so. I dropped the watch off on 9/3, and was quoted 6 weeks. About a week later I was quoted a price but was told it may take a while as the repair guy was busy. I said it was fine, I could wait as the Tag Heuer service would take just as long. Fast forward about 5 weeks, I call into Rob. He has to check status and call me back. He tells me that my watch isn't ready so give it another couple of weeks. Fast forward again, I call Rob October 22nd. He tells me the watch hasn't been touched and the watch repair person is putting it off, because it is difficult to work with. In my head, I'm like What??? I'm willing to pay for a service, and wait extra long, and he tells me the watch repair guy hasn't even touched it yet. Wow!!! I tell him that I don't mind waiting, but are they going to fix it or not? He tells me he will send it to another guy. In my mind, I'm like, uhhhh is this other guy good? What kind of lame excuse is that???? I said okay, I'll wait so when do you think it will be ready. He said a couple of weeks. I wait a full month. Mind you I don't get follow up calls from Rob throughout this whole time. I have to initiate the call and see what it is going on. Each time I get some type of excuse. Finally, I call Wed before Thanksgiving. And I'm pissed asking for when my watch will be done. I've now waited 12 weeks for service. I tell him to return it if they haven't done the work. Well I get busy at work, and he leaves me a message that my watch will be done next week, he promises. I don't get back to him cause I'm busy at work. I try to call him on Friday, and he doesn't pick up. By the way Rob doesn't have voicemail so you can't leave a message to call you back. And finally today I get a call from the Vallejo office to pick up my watch. I go to pick up the watch and the guy at the counter tells me that the parts are on delay. And sorry we couldn't get the watch repaired. For those scoring at home on the exuses: 1. We are really busy 6 weeks. 2. Your watch is difficult to work on. I don't want to touch it. 3. I have to send it to the other watch repair guy. 4. Parts are delayed, so that is why it was delayed. Unreal. I really wish I could rate the work of the watch repair, but it never got that far. I mean my money is green, and I was willing to wait. If they didn't want to work on it they should of just told me so in the beginning and sent my watch back. Instead, I wasted 6 weeks, and I'm back to squre one. Unreal. Do not go here. All you get are exuses, and lies for service. read more

Where do I start. If you have a cheap watch that needs a battery here's your spot. IF you have a watch of any value or importance don't even bother. I took two watches to have a battery replaced. The first one no problem because it was not a complicated movement. The second one well this when the wheels came off. After replacing the battery the digital display of the watch didn't work and the analog didn't work. She handed it to me as if it were fixed. When asked about it she said she didn't know how to set it. WTF! OK no worries the owner will be able. Well after a WEEK I called and I was told the owner took the watch from the store to work on it. Now this watch isn't made anymore and why would you take an expensive watch from the business. That's like a car dealership saying hey Jimmy took the car home to work on it. He has more tools there. After using very colorful language the watch was returned and guess what, fixed! Then to top it off I paid earlier for the watch repair and the woman said I hadn't. They were adamant that I hadn't paid. Well after showing the recepit for both watches they just handed me the watch with no apologies. It's obvious that their business sense is lacking and their watch repair skills are questionable. Needless to say, I will be taking all other timepieces to Walnut Creek. So much for supporting local business. read more

I love this place and seems to be the only one in Vallejo. Quick service and (I forgot to get her name) is really knowledgeable. While others refuse to replace batteries on G-Shocks for some reason she took care of three I brought on top of a Tag and expensive Victorinox I forgot I had. Highly recommended. Even when she refuses tips give them to her anyway. read more

Frank is such a cool dude. Came in and needed one of those cheap rubber things that lock down your watch strap because mine broke. He fixed it in 2 mins and I asked "how do I owe ya?"
