On the hunt for my final jolt of caffeine in this magical land called Aspen, I happily came across this jolly cart on the corner of Hyman and Mill. It's wedged between the patio of Grey Lady and The Wild Fig, so, if you're getting GPS-y, it's actually on Hyman. Funny enough, I didn't get coffee, but instead a half dozen little mini powdered sugar, cinnamon donuts (less than $5). I couldn't rip my gloves off fast enough to tear into these beautimus doughy creatures. I had secretly been wanting donuts since I landed (might have been the dip in temp or the snow) and this was fate that my last walk through this quaint little town ended with me happening upon this cart. They do have beverages and some Mediterranean options, oddly enough, but then again, it's a wacky wheeled kitchen of sorts, so they can provide whatever kind of medley of eats they so desire. They're also open late, which is a plus if you're scouring the streets for deliciousness. read more

Ajax Donuts is a cute little cart serving up a variety of things, including mini doughnuts. I ordered a 1/2 dozen of the glazed doughnuts ($4.25), but I would recommend a whole dozen. The price is much better for a whole dozen. The actual doughnuts are quite delicious and it's really nice to have hot and delicious doughnuts. I think people are over-hyping them just a touch, but they are a nice treat. I did have one night where I went and waited for 20 minutes and the line did not move at all. I almost didn't come back but did a few weeks later. The second time was a Saturday at noon, and a very nice man helped me. Credit card minimum of $5 read more

Visited October 2015 Ajax Donuts can be found by the Fig Restaurant...they are open till 2am!! yes 2am!! if you are hungry.The Donuts come in a wide variety of flavors and in dozen or half dozen, you can mix n match. Try 3 of each for the best. The donuts are small and may sound a little expensive at $6.50 but its one of those things that you have to experience while in Aspen so no regrets. The service is wonderful and the guy who works here is really cute and nice. They do offer other snax but we only tried the Donuts and they were great. Loved it! read more

I stopped by just to see what they had and I was pleasantly surprised at the great selection! My husband had a Gyro which was delicious, and I had the mini-donuts! They have different types, but I got the powdered donuts. They just melted in my mouth and were the perfect bite sized donuts! Great prices and the staff was super friendly! Absolutely trash service, donuts less than average, workers were really rude, he yelled and cussed at my foreign friend in front of a line of like 8 people ridiculing him for not tipping for his hot dog and took it way out of proportion. He withheld his hot dog and refused to give him his hotdog until a bystander told him to relax and tipped $1. Amazing donuts!!!! This is our second night here and we've had donuts from here both nights. We tried glazed and the ones with Nutella sauce, both are delicious but my favorite is glazed. The donuts were fine; the owner is a complete ass. My boyfriend and I were quite shocked this afternoon when we overheard the owner of Ajax Donuts speaking in an incredibly rude tone to his employee as we waited for a dozen mini donuts. His body language towards her & the completely tense energy he emitted was super uncomfortable to be around. I wasn't going to call him out on treating his employee in such a crass way, but did chime up IMMEDIATELY after he came out of the food stand using a racial slur and cursing... Just a slew of obscenities. At that moment, I asked if he was the owner; it was evident that we were very unhappy and offended by what we had heard (his conversation with the employee and what was said as he walked away from the employee). He swiftly walked away from us to his car and yelled across the street that he indeed was "the fucking owner." Whoa. I didn't expect that kind of response (perhaps I should've). Very quickly & sarcastically I told him he was going to get a real good review from me, to which he replied "Fucking fuck you," as he flailed his arms around, hopped in his truck, and sped off. Nothing about this situation was ok. The owner really has a lot of lessons in life to learn. Definitely will not be supporting this donut stand again. Definitely will share my experience. read more

Great place for quick, affordable, friendly and YUMMY lunch. I work nearby so it's really convenient for me and the fact that I can call my order in and pick up is huge! I've been working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Brussel and kale salad is so good and hearty and the gyros are delish. And the coney dog, oh the coney dog, it's a hot dog at its finest. Add a Chicago dog next! Finish it all off with cinnamon sugar donuts and you're all set!
