I thought these were regular waffles with mochi added when I took a bite of my son's waffle at the farmers market. I was shocked to discover that these are totally gluten free. Normally gluten free stuff tastes awful-- not these waffles! I then went back a few days later to the actual location (this one) instead of the farmers market stand and it was just as good. I asked for extra extra chocolate sauce because I feel that's the only way to enjoy it. The service was friendly and welcoming. Don't let the outside and downstairs ambience deter you from this hidden gem. Located on the second floor , the scenery changes once you ascend the stairs. The single person working there is super friendly, takes orders, makes waffles and squeezes juice. The mochi waffles are right off the griddle , crispy hot and sweet. Per the staff our pineapple juice was a good batch. Very sweet. Prepare for a slight wait as there are only 3 griddles. But IMO definitely worth the wait. I love mochi waffle anything and this has got to be hands down the BEST waffle place I've been to on island. I got their banana mac nut waffle, their banana lumpia waffle and their house cold brew. Delicious! Prices may seem steep, but trust me you can taste the quality in the Ingredients here. I feel like I'm not even that big of a foodie to be able to tell quality of honey, but when I say this honey is different!! It totally is. This mochi style waffle is lighter and maybe even better than "the real thing"? The waffle was fantastic! So nice to find a gluten-free fluffy waffle. The toppings were nice. I was disappointed they didn't have the dairy-free butter nor the dairy-free whipped cream. (They said they usually do, just not that day.) I think the waffle would have been so much better with those! And it had been hyped by a friend, so I was expecting those options to be available. For a more than $20 waffle, I would expect a lot more. This was SO very costly. I would equate it with getting a treat at Disney - you expect it to be outrageously expensive. Holy smokes it was so yummy. The woman behind the counter was so pleasant and gentle, taking care to explain what I could and could not have due to my dairy allergy. We went around 8:45am on a Monday, and was pleasantly surprised that it was not super busy, but everyone leaving had smiles on their face and fully bellies.
