Baby, it's cold inside. Wouldn't it be great if you could call up a company, describe your problem, get a quote, have someone answer your questions, and then they'd do the work with dedication and competence just as you agreed. It's not a dream, it's just the way Airworks does business. At every step of the way and with each employee I was treated with friendly professionalism and thoroughness. I needed asbestos abatement, new ducting and a new HVAC system to update my condo's unit which dated back to the seventies. The price was great compared to the other quotes I received, the process was easy, and I'm thrilled with my new AC. When the abatement company (subcontracted by Airworks) showed up to remove my ductwork, they accidentally also took out some of the venting from my neighbor's attached unit. My neighbors showed up at my door that evening worried. No problem. The next morning, Airworks completed not only my job but replaced the ducting which had be inadvertently removed from my neighbor's attic. No arguments and no stalling. It was amazing! Now I know that if problems or questions come up, Airworks' staff will be there to help me. I'm looking forward to regular maintenance with their company and I strongly recommend them. read more

Just had a new furnace and A/C installed today. They hauled that old dinosaur furnace out in the morning and finished up by the end of the day. Guys showed up on time and did an amazing job. We just had AirWorks Solutions come by and save us from this heat, and the guy who came was wonderful. We set up an appointment on Monday for them to come today because our AC wasn't cooling the house (blowing warm air). We were given a 3-hour window of 12-3 and the guy came around 1:45pm, checked things out, added some freon (apparently, we were a little low and that was our problem), hung around a little bit to be sure he had fixed our problem, charged what felt like a fair amount, and left. And now our house is not an uncomfortable 85 degrees, but a comfortable 73! My dog is especially pretty stoked, haha. Based on our experience today, I'd highly recommend using them if you need to be saved from the heat by an HVAC company. :) read more

Our cental heat and A/C system gave up the ghost on December 23rd during near record low temps (low 30's) and a whopping winter rain storm. Murphy's Law at its best! I called AirWorks and Kevin took the time to come out on Christmas Eve to explain various options and give us a quote. Kevin then astonished us by working late to find and assemble all the new equipment needed for the job and make arrangements to get a crew to our home on 12/27. The crew (Billy & Jose) were nothing short of AWESOME. They showed up all three days right on time with great attitudes. They adhered to all standard COVID protocols and their work was outstanding, particularly given the extremely tight space Billy had to deal with when installing the new furnace. Billy never shyed away from answering any of my many questions. He always took the time to fully answer my questions and show me how the system was being installed. Props to Kevin and Stephanie. Kevin came out and fixed our Air Conditioner in 30 minutes (it was only acting as a heater...) He was super friendly and clean. We just had new carpet put in, and he cleaned and checked his feet and equipment every time before he came in. Also fixed a rattle we had in the unit since day one. Stephanie was nice enough to answer my call at 11pm on a Saturday! Try to find another company that will do that and come out on a Sunday afternoon. I would give them 4.5 if I could but only because Kevin was a little late. But given the demand from the weather and the fact it was a Sunday I couldn't go less than 5 stars. I went with airworks after seen a post on social Media about how helpful and honest they are....well I couldn't be any happier! My parents A/C went down, and we couldn't have a hot house. Especially since my mother works from home. Gave airworks a call, fast easy appointment, and the tech was on time! Steve I believe was his name, truly enjoyed the fact that he quickly accessed the damage and knew what he had to do. Instead of leaving the house with no fan or A/C he quickly found a temporary solution while we gather up the parts and now my mom has at least a fan cooling her down while we do the big repair. Air Works did a great job and were very competitive...with their pricing after estimates with other companies ...too in installing new cental ac unit and new ducting and the workers here did a great job so a shout out to the whole crew for sure in sales rep and supervision ...I advise in not waiting too as I am guessing prices will go up with the cost of materials going way up in 2023 but this is a guess the way it looks now.and the new minimum in 2023 will be a seer 16 by govt regulations in California so I got the 14 seer for a smaller house and ..in the past doing this off season (but there are off and on hot periods anyway year round in Southern California ... would save money but doubt it will save much at all if your house is hot now and you can do it do not wait....also I got a positive recommendation from a handy man that is a policeman full time and does handy work on the side that has done a great job for me.that this is one of the best companies in this county...Also the owner was very kind as I was nervous about making this investment...and took the time to talk to me in explaining the challenge with this work...which I appreciated alot... read more

I just have to say this company is as good as it gets. I am amazed at the level of service these guys give. If you're looking for an honest, fair heating and air company you found it. In the middle of our last heat wave our AC was making the most un godly noises. I have two small children so before it stopped blowing cold air I want it to get serviced. They fit us in their schedule and they were prompt and timely. It took Kevin about two minutes to pull out some paper that got sucked into the return. Problem fixed. We have always gotten great service with AirWorks. Our AC stopped working in the middle of a heat wave and AirWorks squeezed us in and sent Sam out same day. He walked us through what was wrong with the unit and recommended a couple options. When we opted to repair what we had he was super knowledgeable and explained what would need to be done. He diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts and had us back up and cooling down once the parts arrived a few days later. I can't recommend AirWorks and Sam enough! Our HVAC system was over 10 years old. We had a power surge over a year ago which fried our heater and some other electrical appliances. We called out a local company and due to the cost opted to just fix instead of replace the heater. Unfortunately, back in March during the heat wave the AC was acting up and would not cool down the house. We called the same company back and again it was suggested that we replace the complete system. I hesitated due to the fact that we had just spent a lot of money earlier to fix the heater. Our neighbor suggested we contact AirWorks just to see if they could do any better on the price. He said they had just replaced his system and he felt that they had done a great job and that they were very well priced. Mike was able to come out the next day to look at our system . It was so nice working with him, he was friendly, helpful and was not pushy at all. He made a couple suggestions and answered all my questions and spent a little extra time just chatting. We had a very competitive quote the next day to replace the entire system so, we decided to move forward. Thankfully we were able to get on the schedule very quickly. Our team was Billy and Rolando . Both are knowledgeable, professional, friendly and very polite. After the 2nd day Billy told us that his part was done and that he had to move on to another job but that he was leaving us in Rolando's capable hands to finish up but that they would reach out to him if they needed him. At the end of the 3rd day Rolando asked if he could come back again the next day that they had some additional work to finish, I asked what was left. That was when Rolando told me that they had to install a catwalk which took extra time that they were not expecting and that the existing air duct layout was not up to par. He said he tried to fix it but that it was a mess and that it all needed to be replaced. He said he had called the office to let them know and that they told him to do what he needed to complete the job. I was concerned at what the extra cost would be because our previous quote from a competitor was for another 3 thousand to replace the air duct and no mention of the catwalk.. When I asked how much that would cost. Rolando said that AirWorks was not going to charge me for the catwalk or to replace the air ducts. He said the new system would not work right and that AirWorks could not do that to us. I was shocked to say the least and extremely grateful. It took another 2 days for Rolando to complete all the work. I was so happy to see what a great job they did. I am so thankful to AirWorks for the excellent work and for going above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of. I cannot say enough about Mike, Billy, Rolando and the their team. We purchased this home in March 2018 and purchased an annual maintenance agreement from this company that month as well. On October 5, 2018, AirWorks came to perform a scheduled 6-month inspection and maintenance of the Furnace/Air Conditioning system they had installed for the previous owner of this house. The technician found there was a "small leak" in cooling system. He could not isolate the leak without testing the system further. He suggested that topping off the refrigerant and adding a sealant to the system "could" take care of the problem if the leak is small enough. Cost: $612.00. He said the estimate was a worst-case estimate, because he wasn't sure how much refrigerant I would actually need. The total cost could be less than $612.00, he just had to quote the higher price because if he quoted a low price and the actual price he had to charge was higher, customers would be angry. I asked, "doesn't the maintenance agreement cover this?" He said no, only routine inspections. If they find something, fixing it costs more. Then I asked, why should I ever buy an agreement in the first place? He said that as a "member," I get discounts on parts and labor and I get "head-of-the-line" privileges over other customers when I need a service call. Then I asked, what if the sealant doesn't work and the system still leaks, what would be the next step? He told me they would perform a 4-hour system test to isolate the leak. If they determine it's a part, they'd replace the part. Cost for the system test alone: $415.00. The cost of the part would be extra. At this point, I summarized to him what I understood. So, at minimum I was looking at a cost of $612 (which "could" be lower) with no guarantee this would take care of the leak. At worst, I would be looking at a cost of over $1000 (which would be more depending on what they found). This doesn't include that I would have to take at least another day off work for them to perform this special system test and possibly another if a replacement part was needed and not in stock and had to be ordered. I had an HVAC system installed at my old house. the system was older than this one and never had these types of "problems." This "maintenance agreement" is a sham and the fact that the previous owner of this house was my 84-year old, mother-in-law makes it more egregious. I have to ask myself how many times this company found additional items that needed fixing and charged her for them? I want the full $199.00 refund I paid for this agreement. read more

Amazing! I honestly figured that AirWorks would be good as the reviews are great but had no idea that they would be amazing. Hector (my technician) arrived on time, was super nice and walked me through what he was doing. I had requested that we get an AC/Heater service. He also discussed ways to improve our air flow in our house. By discussed I mean he literally talked to me about 5 different solutions that could help make a difference in our kitchen area which heats up late in the afternoon due to the direction we face plus add making dinner and the high heat that we have been having and it gets hot! ***HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE*** After reading the great reviews and noticing they looked like a nice family run business, I decided to call and see if they could repair our air conditioner, which went out during our last heatwave a couple weeks ago. My first appointment to check out the situation was Thursday June 30th between 12-2:30pm. So, I took off from work, waited around and did some chores until 2:30pm rolled around...no technician...so I called. Well the receptionist tells me that the time was from 2:30-4pm...? That's not what I wrote down, but okay, I'll wait a little longer, no big deal. The tech shows up, tells me my fuse blew, when he changed the fuse the air turned on for about 2 minutes and then "pop" something blew out, it was the transformer...I guess the tech didn't know to put a safety connector to prevent that from happening...? So, he says I need a filter, because there was no filter for some odd reason... Then he said I needed a coil cleaning, and a new transformer, and that he would report to the main office and they would call me for an appointment and quote...okay... hours later I call to find out when and how much. I explained to the rep what the tech said and she said she would call me back with a quote. So, she calls me back about an hour later and quotes me $325 for "everything" that was recommended by the tech, I agree and we set up another appointment... My repair appointment was for Tuesday, July 5th, at a time between 2:30pm-4pm...and the morning of my appointment the technician called in "sick" or perhaps hungover from a big 4th of July celebration...? So, I was told they would look at the schedule and call me back with a time...I waited until the next day and decided to call back around 2-3pm and the receptionist told me her guy was available after 4pm that same day, and that he was finishing up a job, so I agreed to have him come over. The technician finally arrives after 5pm and here is where it gets good... The tech replaces the transformer and discovers there is a faulty wire, he then calls his boss and they say they will charge an additional $345 for the wire to be run properly under the house, which is in addition to the $325 for the other job or $670. We begin to go back-and-forth (bickering) over the price and I say "I have a friend who can run the wire for a lot less" he then calls his boss back and they lower the price from $345 to $285 (I can still get the job done for less) then he says and that's just for the wire and transformer and that price ($610) does NOT include the filter and coil cleaning!!!....WTF!?!? So now I'm pissed!!! I try calling the office because I need to talk to the girl who quoted me, but of course no one is there. The tech gives his boss another call and they agree to do the rest of the work "IF" I agree to the additional work of installing the wire...that's some terrorist crap, trying to hold me hostage over a job that they already quoted me on!!! and then trying to act like that was never agreed upon in the first place...!!! and of course the lazy tech who didn't want to complete the job tried to leave before the job was done...seriously!?!? Long story short... They never came back to finish the job even after I had a contract written up and paid 60% written by check. I am now in the process of reporting them to the BBB for bad faith business practices and stealing my money. I will talk to the bank about canceling the check. read more

Where to start, where to start. Been in Camarillo since 1973 and cannot believe we are installing air conditioning. YES, WE ARE. Also of major importance to us - we believe in supporting local businesses as often as is possible. No chains for us. We have done some remodeling and worked with INTEGRITY CONSTRUCTION - Kevin and his team are far and away, the finest character based group around - that is another YELP in the works. Asked Kevin who he recommends - hands down, it was AirWorks Solutions. Called them - set up a meeting with 'their' Kevin (another local!) - he came to the house - extremely thorough - explained that air conditioning unit could most definitely be added to our almost new heating system. Had we known about AirWorks when we installed that heating unit, we would NEVER have worked with PacificAire - no recommendation from us at all. Lousy work, lousy work practices - these years later - STILL looking at the lousy repair of our drywall and floorboard they ruined and have yet to repair. This morning, George and Drew arrived right on time - setup a clean area and got to it. Could not have been more knowledgeable, courtesy, warm and friendly. Answered our questions. Worked through day. Floor pads everywhere - were diligent in their approach and explained the 'finer points of air conditioning'...what they were doing - best practices and what to expect. Kevin, Integrity Construction, stopped by to check in - they had installed our new power panel and run the wires, conduit, box to where the new compressor would sit. Painless! Absolutely painless! The compressor is gorgeous - nuts really, I know BUT - these guys were the absolute best. As they continued their clean-up, I offered to vacuum...would not hear of it. End of the day and both gentlemen smiling as they departed. Have already set up twice monthly checks with them to come by for service to the air/heating unit. We cannot recommend AirWorks Solutions highly enough and we will recommend this group to everyone we know. Tops - The BEST!
