I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday night and they immediately scheduled our oven troubleshooting for Monday afternoon. Their front office staff is incredibly responsive! George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. This experience with George / Astera is so positive that I'm posting my review even before the service is completed. When I explained I got no call, they read back the phone number they had, which I had repeated every time I called, and the last 4 digits were swapped. The rep just said, "Oops, that's the problem then." Yeah, no one read call my number to confirm and recommended they start doing that after the rep gave another excuse of "receiving so many calls to their office." When I asked to get priorized today as my young child would be coming over for the weekend today and was told they could "try, but..." and when I explained this has become ridiculous they defaulted back to saying "no one was home last time we tried" and I referred back to THEIR expectations set that they would call when ON THEIR WAY, then why still show up when no one answered because they called the wrong number? The rep got incredibly irate and aggressive and I asked if I should call another company since they can't seem to keep up/adhere to expectations, to which she yelled "yes, I think you should" be hung up. I know this is the hot season and it's busy, so give proper expectations, confirm you have correct contact information, keep your customers updated and for God's sake, take accountability and hold your temper...
