It goes from Oswego all the way up to Algonquin, so that's a long way to go between the end points. Curve around buildings and rivers along it. There's enough room for bicycles, joggers, and whoever. Get on the trail from many areas. It goes a long way following the Fox River. This is a long ass trail. It makes it a way to get around without driving. Kind of hard to get to from where it starts and where it ends. It's too long for most people to walk along it. The part in East Dundee is especially scenic. It goes through the restaurant district. This goes by the old depot that's now used as a place for some people to hang or sleep. Has a long way to go for joggers and exercisers. It has enough room for bicycles and other faster transportation methods. There's plenty of parking spots along the way and you can find many places to eat as it goes through a few towns.

As the name suggests this park is made up of an island and several bridges in the middle of the Fox River. There is a walking and running trail, fishing spots (with the appropriate permits of course), and benches and shaded places to sit and enjoy the nature. While we were visiting, the trees had turned color in the fall and added to the beauty of the area. There are some fantastic places to take pictures. The park even comes with a gigantic American flag. For a beautiful park to experience and enjoy, I highly recommend Walton Island Park!

Pace has express busses that run from both Rosemont and the Pace transit center just south of Woodfield. .7 of a mile walk from the Randall Road park & ride. Please note you can cut through the parking area to the west end of Hickory Hollow through an open path. The busses run pretty much hourly though DO NOT run Sundays.

Nestled within these…read more275 acres, this santuary (formerly an old quarry) is home to an abundance of birds and wildlife, and three ponds (that offer fishing opportunities). This is an ideal place for hikers, dog walking, bicycles (recommend knobby tires), and horses. Having walked the gravel trail, my gps tracked 2.7 mile circumference. I loved that this trail is not just flat, it gradually ascends and descends. I must have been on ninja stealth mode because as I turned a bend, I stumbled upon a deer not 10 ft away. Shocked, we both made eye contact and the deer took off running. Parking lot/starting point offers picnic tables, a modern canopy , and a single out house. Bring comfy shoes!

They kept directing us to the Barrington Club Park which is a few miles away. Anywho, once you find it, it is an awesome park. It has 140+ parking spaces and the area is huge. Perhaps its new, so thats why its awesome, but the grass was lush and green. They have soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball sand courts, a giant shelter to host BBQs, bocci ball courts, and nice clean bathrooms. Since the park is new, the trees were still somewhat small, so there wasn't a whole lot of shade besides the shelter they have there. The shelter can probably house at least 50 people easily with nice and clean tables. I'm writing this with a sunburnt forehead and upper shoulders. I usually don't get burnt but apparently I should have put on sunscreen. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a park to relax and play around and/or to host a nice sized BBQ. BATHROOM REVIEW: The bathrooms are located right next to the shelter. Inside, you will see a couple of urinals and a nice sturdy stall. The inside of the bathroom was rather dim, but maybe its because it was so darn sunny outside. Anywho, they didn't have paper towels but a nice hand dryer. For now, there were no mosquitos and it was super clean. The stall looked very sturdy. Sit or squat? I'd sit after a long day of playing. Aint nobody got time to squat

The offerings are great, with a good selection of high quality facilities, equipment, group classes, park district activities/lessons, etc. The staff is amazing. They really care about their jobs and their members. They greet you by name, take the time to help with any questions or issues, and take member feedback seriously. They also have an on-site childcare offering (Kids Korner) that is FANTASTIC! I have been taking my children there for 7 1/2 years and 1 year respectively. The service, and especially the people, have been a godsend. They take such good care of my kids, and I am a very tough critic in this regard. Age appropriate activities, close supervision, engaged and caring staff, clean environment (I constantly see them cleaning surfaces and toys), and as a parent whose children have been going since they were small babies I appreciate the hygiene guidelines they enforce (no shoes, socks must be worn, hand sanitizer readily available, no sick children, etc). If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.
