Back to Whirlyball this time for a private event I worked with their team to organize the event and…read morethey did a good job putting the program together we started downstairs with renting a court and a few bowling lanes. We also added some large games to our space as well. We then made it upstairs for our dinner program and the buffet was amazing! Delicious and tenor serving they have a very nice event space upstairs. The staff were very nice. Two notes would just be that they had our program run on a court back to back with another group so it was ackward since we needed all those large games set up, had preset beverages and appetizers. Plus a full check in table. The other court was empty so I'm not certain why we weren't just in the other space. Then they also only had the front bar open in the first hour versus the one right at the courts and bowling where we were and other guests enjoying their time. In the case of our group it also left us separated into two since as they waited for drinks then they just became comfortable in the front bar talking. They did open the upstairs bar once we moved up there. I would book an event here again I would just make sure to clearly note some of those details and/or even book the court an extra hour to ensure no crossover even though I was able to set up 15 minutes before our event start. Everyone had a really fun time and for many it was their first time experiencing it.

I was a little wigged out because even though it's laser tag, it's geared to look as much like military combat as possible. The guns are heavy, they wear faux bulletproof vests- not gonna lie, it was a little disturbing to see him and his buddies dressed up as child soldiers. Again, they thought it was awesome. We had about an hour of private play time. The adults could watch from a balcony and each team had a staff member to help them with strategy and the ins and outs of their gear. The place is set up like an abandoned bazaar. It's dark and noisy. I was really glad we had our own session because when we were done, the public session was about to begin and there were many more people going in. I can't imagine having twice as many people shooting, but they seem to have a very loyal customer base. After our party was finished playing, we were set up in a private room with tables and chairs. You can bring your own food: we had pizza, cupcakes, chips and soda. They allowed us another hour, but after running around with heavy weapons, we were pretty much done after they inhaled all the food. The staff could not have been nicer! My son's team was not as proficient as his friend's but they had a lot of help from their staff liaison. And for a guns and ammo kind of place, I was impressed with how clean it was. I almost deduced a star because it really seems like more of a place for adults who are serious about war, but I also know that the kids in our group couldn't wait to go back. Which we will.
