We were followed and antagonized by the sales person, an older white lady with short hair. She followed our every move except when checking someone out at the register I kneeled down to check out a piece of pottery that had some medal inside and when she heard a clinkig noise and quickly said out loud from where she was " if you break it you buy it, if you break it you will have to purchase it,". Then she proceeded to come to where we were. I had purchased pieces form a nearby antique store, one of which I was holding in my hand. She demanded to see it's tag. To which I nicely obliged. She then told us that she needed to tell us they had just installed security cameras, which she repeated several times. I was shocked and sickened that we were treated this way. We quickly left the store as we were all very upset. No one should be treated this way. I suggest Ownership ( if she wasn't the owner) should really address this issue. I would not recommend anyone support this establishment until this is addressed and sales people are appropriately trained. Sadly, Another example of how racism is alive and well in America.

But every new market deserves some time and space to grow. That said, much of what I saw felt like bottom-shelf yard sale leftovers. When Goodwill starts looking like a high-end boutique by comparison, that's not a good sign. Here's what would make this place thrive: 1. Attract higher-quality vendors: local produce, artisan goods, handmade crafts, soaps, honey, farm-to-market items. Give us something worth seeking out. 2. Step up promotion: word of mouth isn't enough. You need internet buzz, Yelp, radio, flyers, community outreach. Get people curious, then give them a reason to come back. The good news: the location is solid, parking is easy, and the potential is there. To be fair, I scored a killer authentic incense burner boat from India (real wood, heavy, $5 with incense packs included), some lion earrings for a buck, palo santo for $5, and a couple of lighters for 50 cents. The pros are that you'll see a wide range of vendors - from clothing and jewelry to music and furniture....and plenty of kitch. The price ranges are pretty broad. I bought an $8 necklace but sorted through a bunch of Coach bags ($200 - $300), and some super cool upcycled pieces ($175 - $250). The crowd was pretty small, and some decent deals were to be had later in the day if you asked. Overall, there was a high clothing to other things ratio on this particular weekend. I bought a pink maxi tule skirt, a pair of possibly too low rise lightweight pants, and 2 necklaces. My kid bought a pair of shorts, a sweater vest, a small fish pin, a CD, and an embroidery art piece. I had fun and I'd go back.
