AireCom is the worst HVAC company I've ever dealt with. My homes furnace died after only a few years being installed by a different company. The freezing temperatures were making my 93 year old mother and 9 year old daughter shiver inside our home and I called AireCom to troubleshoot the issues. The tech Jake came out, who was a respectful and extremely knowledgeable technician. He had to come back a day or 2 later as we needed to order parts to resolve the potential issues. I get a call 2 days later that Jake is out of the office due to a family emergency. I'm a human being and understand family is the most important thing in the world, so even though I had to buy 4 electric heaters for my home over The Weekend, and freeze with my family, I dealt with it as I have compassion and with Covid so rampant, how could you feel any other way? Plus, I had confidence in Jake that he would resolve the issue or at least find what the issues were.
Jake comes back out the following week with the necessary parts and gets the furnace running. It was more than one issue that caused the furnace to die initially, and hours later, the unit was dead again. Jake informed me of this scenario, so there weren't any surprises. This is after spending $1000.00 to fix it. Jake even told me we had multiple issues so I expected some potential issues after he left as I could see there were multiple issues and Jake was being very honest. I made another appointment with Carla for Jake to come back out and troubleshoot the following day. The appt was scheduled from 3-5pm. Keep in mind I haven't had heat in freezing temperatures for over 5 days, and AireCom knew my dilemma in its entirety. At 4:55pm, with no phone call from AireCom, I called and asked Carla if Jake was in route or ? Carla plainly stated Jake is too busy today and not be out today. I was mortified, flabbergasted and a whole host of other descriptive words. Carla knew my family's situation and chose not to care. After Carla informed me their company reneged on the appointment and agreement (after already paying them 1000.00), I said "...are you f#$&ing kidding me?" - then Carla decided to cover up her mistakes by screaming don't cuss at me. I explained I'm not cussing at you, for if I were, a man of the world, you would KNOW I'm cussing AT you. I informed her I'm upset at the situation as I told her you forgot about my 93 year old mother, my 9 year old daughter and the rest of my family after a full week without heat! She then hung up on me! I had to call another HVAC company to come out, and after this company reviewed the issues, we needed to replace the entire unit. $8000.00 AireCom could have made with a new install if they would have just done what they said they would do initially. They also charged $100.00 "trip charge" every time the tech came out, not just once, but every time! what a bunch of rip off artists!
In these troubled times of our lives, so much is going on, and to have companies pretend they care about great paying customers, but then do the opposite seems to be the norm more than abnormal. I write this review with honesty, integrity and most importantly, so others do not get screwed by AireCom.
If companies continue to hire and stand by inept, nasty company representatives, it speaks volumes of the company itself. Little does AireCom know, I own over 200 rental homes in and around the Columbus area, and I'll never use them nor recommend their services to anyone. I have friends with deep pockets that own commercial properties, and none of them will use AireCom ever again. My cousin owns a restaurant in town and he used to hire AireCom for repair of his commercial appliances, which is where they should stay, as their urgency to residential customers is non existent. Do yourself and most importantly do your family a favor, hire a real HVAC company that cares about their residential customers, and avoid AireCom unless you want nothing but hassles and horrible customer service! AireCom is used to making big bucks on Commercial companies, but have no clue how to treat everyday Americans that work hard for their money in a residential service environment. read more
