I had nothing but a great experience with the people at Air Caresaver. My AC stopped working right before last weekend heatwave. It was impossible to find a repairman last minute . So I waited until Monday morning to call, I really didn't think I was going to get " same day service" but I took a shot anyway. Erica was very nice and professional, she actually scheduled me in for the same day. With constant communication as to the eta of the technician Erica went above and beyond. Ralph ( the owner ) arrived , he is very pleasant and very knowledgable, he gave it to me straight. BLOWN fan motor. We set up the repair, he had to order the part , said it might be about a week. The part came in early and Angel the technician came in replaced the part in a very clean and professional manner. I can't say enough good things about these guys .. 10 stars in my book.... So the Story doesn't exactly end here . So after the " new " fan motor was installed . the AC unit failed again the very next day . So Ralph came out to check the problem again. NOW he tells me that the control board that runs the entire unit if failing and suggest that I get a new unit his first quote was $13K but if I pay him in cash he can do it for $6K. WHAT !!!! . I decided to get a second opinion, I had someone else come out . and I was told that it was not the control board at all . the problem was that the coil was dirty , because the filter had not been changed in a long time. the unit was cleaned and repaired and I saved $$THOUSANDS of dollars. .. I cant believe that I was taken for a ride with Caresaver. there is so much more I am choosing not to write about . consumer beware!!! and watch out for the upsell.. Here is more after all .. Ralph your guy wired the fan speeds backwards when he installed it. You didn't catch that, when you came by second time. And Ralph You didn't even replace the cover On the circuit board when you left. The other guy I hired found it on the floor And found the error on the wiring . read more

Our central air/ furnace leaked water everytime we use the A/C . You could see water on the garage floor. I called Air Caresaver around 11am and by 1 pm Edwin their technician came to our house on time and fixed the problem. Edwin was friendly and knowledgeable. He patiently explained things thoroughly to us. And made sure that everything was in good working condition before leaving. I signed up for their 3 year maintenance plan because the price is reasonable and because they earned my trust. I highly recommend this company. Had 2 new Goodman furnaces installed in January 2016. By July 2016, one of the units board that runs the power burned out. Informed owner of the issue, his response was to be leery of other companies that would try to rip me off. He said he would call me back to look at it but never did. I had to hire another A/C company to review the issue and was informed it was electrically wired incorrectly. Fortunately the parts were covered under manufacture warranty. I paid $550 labor for another A/C company to replace one of the units burned out board and electrical rewire of both furnaces. Would not recommend this A/C company again! read more

I setup an appointment 4 days in advance, took a half day off work, and drove out to the rental property to have them call me and say they can't work on the property, since the owner is not there!? I have power of attorney to manage by parents properties while they are abroad, and this was a topic of conversation the day I scheduled. I would have had no problem if they let me know when I scheduled that they cannot perform the work due to the circumstances, but to have lost 4 days and drive out for nothing demonstates this company is disorganized and has no respect for other people's time. read more

We hired Air Caresaver to check out our broken furnace. Appointments were easily made. The technician found a faulty case that is at risk of leaking carbon monoxide into the house. So we made an appointment with Ralph on an estimate to replace the 30 year old furnace. Ralph gave us an offer we couldn't refuse on replacing the AC and furnace. He gave us additional discounts if we're willing to replace it on a holiday. Two installers showed up on time. They did a quick job, but couldn't quite finish on the same day. They were here the full day into the evening. We paid 50% progress payment. On the second day, one person returned to finish the job. He took 4 hours. We were happy with the job. The furnace was nicely installed inside the attic. The AC condenser was outside. Ralph returned several messages to ask about his service. I liked that he cared. I will hire him again. read more

We had hot air blowing from our A/C instead of cold. Didn't notice until 5pm. Called and made an appointment for the next day at 12pm. Edwin was able to come an hour earlier and was able to fix the problem. He came just in time before it got hot outside again. He even used shoe covers before going inside the house. He was very patient with my parents and answered all their questions fully and was very genuine in his responses. He understood our budget and worked with us to get us the best deal at a fair price. It only took them 2 days to change out the entire HVAC system and put in a new one. What really impressed me though was how they tested everything after the installation, they made sure everything was working as it should. I say this because the first AC unit had a minor issue and the air wasn't getting cooled as fast as it should. Wow...So I just read the response from Ralph regarding my bad experience with 'Air Care Saver". First my negative experience is 100% real and I'm still waiting for the quote. Second Ralph's response of a partial sorry followed by the insult that the story may not be true is very distasteful and uncalled for (I do have the business card of the project manager that came with the initials P.B.). A better response would have been something like "I AM SORRY TO HEAR THIS HAPPENED TO YOU. PLEASE HELP ME TO RESOLVE THIS AND NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANOTHER POTENTIAL CUSTOMER, IF YOU CAN PRIVATELY CONTACT ME SO I CAN CORRECT I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT". Read his responses to others who wrote about their bad experiences he responds the same way and does not accept blame. Also I never stated the company "begged" me for my business, the calls were no where close to begging. I don't know where he read that from. And as for leaving names I figured if they really cared they would ask me and if they did I would privately give it to them. We are glad to have found Air Caresaver when our AC stopped working after 15 years. Ralph (the owner) came on time as scheduled. He explained the options with getting the AC fixed by replacing the parts versus getting a new one. We opted for the long term solution and decided to get it replaced. Originally we had contacted Sears because our 26 year old air conditioner stopped cooling. We were not very happy with their unwillingness to even consider repairing the unit. I went on Yelp to possibly find another company for a 2nd opinion and that is when I came across Air Caresaver. I liked that they are a family owned company and had very good reviews. Erika was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. Angel arrived and was very friendly and we were very impressed at his professionalism and thoroughness. Ralph Ayers, senior technician and owner of Air Caresaver, installed an air conditioning unit and new furnace in a rental unit of mine, to replace an old wall heater and wall A/C unit. He did an awesome job of planning out the ductwork, grills and return in the home. He also made arrangements for the permits and the HERS Rater company for inspections, and was even complemented by the inspector on a job well done. Ralph and his crew also made some corrections and improvements to the a/c system ductwork in my own home, since the a/c system that another company installed 10 years ago was no longer cooling the rooms in my home very efficiently. Our old A/C started making a noise (tinging). We called Matt to come out to assess the problem. He immediately told us not to use the system as it was the fan hitting the freon tube, which could have exploded. The next day Patrick came out with Matt - did a complete examination - long story short our 16 year old system was shot. They gave us a better more efficient unit, Air Ducts, and heater.....the price was so low we couldn't believe it!!!!! They went above and beyond the call of duty to get us the best system, for the best price and dealt with the city with the permits!!!! I'd recommend them to anyone wanting the best service and price. When the 36 year old heater in my elderly mother's house began giving problems recently during cold and rainy weather, a friend recommended Air CareSaver. I left a message for owner Ralph who promptly returned my phone call and showed up the next day for an estimate. Ralph was friendly, courteous and professional. He made a visual inspection of the old ducts in the attic and took a video on his cell phone to show me. He also made a visual inspection of the old heater. He listened to what I wanted to do, then showed me the various options, explaining each one and how much it would cost. He was genuinely considerate of my mother's budget and did not try to upsell anything. All the old asbestos ducting needed to be removed before installing the new heater so Ralph made arrangements for that to be done. The next day after the asbestos was removed, Diego and Jesse arrived at 8am, ready to go to work. Diego and Jesse were clean, polite and respectful, laying down drop cloths everywhere they would be walking. They both spoke fluent English, explained everything they were doing and answered any questions I had. Hard workers who did a good job cleaning up after the job was finished. Ralph dropped by to see how the work was going. I am very pleased with the new Amana variable speed heater. The house is nice and warm due to the new heater and new insulation in the attic. While Ralph was here, I showed him what "the other guys" have been charging for Tankless Water Heater annual maintenance and Ralph said he could beat those prices. So at the end of the year, when maintenance is due on the Tankless, I'll be calling Air CareSaver for that too. I highly recommend this company! read more

This past summer was really hot, and the air was very humid making California really unbearable. You would rather stay inside your homes and not risk getting sunburned. Good thing our air conditioner never malfunctioned because it would have been a huge inconvenience if it did. And I think this is all due to the maintenance work that Air Care Saver has provided in spring. We had them come over to check on our unit, and they replaced some parts and cleaned the unit. I found Air Caresaver on Angie's list and called for an estimate based on their reviews there and on yelp. I only wanted my ducts replaced because they had been damaged by others who had done work in the attic - plus they had never been changed since the original installation in the 1980's to my knowledge. We have an addition that was also added when the heat/air was originally installed, so getting access to the AC/Heating unit and ducts was pretty tricky - other companies had given quotes just to change the ducts that were "accessible" and some never even looked at the attic before giving me a much higher quote than Air Caresaver. Patrick came and gave an excellent quote, including adding new vents to a couple of rooms and new insulation in the attic. He recommended that we also change out all the registers which improved the flow tremendously. It took their crew one day to replace the ducts, add the new vents, and replace the registers. It was like night and day, we went from cold and uncomfortable to comfy and cozy. They came the next morning to add the insulation, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The great room downstairs has never been warm in all the years we've lived here, but it finally feels comfortable even without the fireplace burning. They also installed a new wireless thermostat so I can control the temperature from my iPhone - love it! They were honest and did great work, so I recommended them to my sister as well. read more

We had our ac unit take a dump last weekend when it was hot and humid. I called Ralph and his company and the girl who answered the phone was very knowledgeable. My husband asked him to come out and take a look at our unit and our unit was basically crap. My parents who lived there before us had an unlicensed hvac person fix it and all these years the unit was crap! Ralph was honest and very knowledgable and advised us to get a whole new unit. He got us to apply for the Hero program and we qualified so we got our unit with no down payment and we start paying for the unit next year! Instead of having a band aid put on the system which the previous review Jon who gave him 1 star did, we did what Ralph suggested and we have no regrets. To that yelp reviewer who says he was quoted a price that was too much, you're an idiot because in the long run your unit is gonna take a dump and that coil that was replaced is going to be the least of your problems. Yah you saved $ but you put a band aid on ur unit for now. Give it a couple of months or maybe years. Ralph was awesome and we will now recommend him and his company to anyone who asks. read more

Our old AC Unit was twenty some years old, and it finally stopped working. It had to be replaced and when we contacted Air Caresaver Airconditioning &a Heating, they were very understanding of the urgency to get it looked at right away. We were dealing with triple digit temperatures and they sent someone to look at it the same day. Edwin came out and did a thorough job of inspecting the unit. He was very honest and gave us the pros and cons of fixing it versus replacing it completely. At the end of the day, we decided the replace everything. Used Air Caresaver to install the whole cooling system, by that I mean everything as my home only had central heat. After Patrick came out and looked at the house he came up with the plan and explained it very clearly. The next day the crew came out and were slightly early, not an issue as it was just 15 minutes early, and started the work. I have indoor animals and the crew was very cautious of them and made sure I had them put in a room so they wouldn't get out and always asked me to accompany them into the room where they were. It took just a few days for the crew to install the whole A.C. system, move the furnace, and lay the new duct-work. The crew was very clean and always made sure to vacuum anything and everything off of the surfaces of where they had to work. When they finished the work Patrick came back out and did a walk around with me and explained again everything they had done.
