When we first enrolled with British Swim School, we were extremely pleased. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and consistent, and our child progressed quickly. We had complete confidence in the program and would have gladly given it a five-star review. Unfortunately, our experience has changed dramatically. The pool where we attended lessons experienced ongoing issues that resulted in most classes being canceled throughout December. While this was frustrating, we understood that it was beyond British Swim School's control. We remained loyal customers because we believed in the program and were very happy with the instructors. Since then, however, there has been an almost complete turnover of instructors. Nearly every time we attend a lesson, there is someone new teaching the class. The consistency that is so critical to learning proper swimming technique has disappeared. Instead of continuing to improve, my child has actually regressed. Skills that had been developed through months of quality instruction have deteriorated because each instructor teaches differently and there has been no continuity. Rather than reinforcing good technique and building on previous lessons, the constant changes have undermined the progress she had already made. What is most disappointing is that I reached out to British Swim School multiple times to discuss these concerns and requested a call from a member of the management team. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up. Our experience went from a program that I would have enthusiastically recommended to one that I can no longer recommend. It's disappointing to see what was once an excellent program decline so significantly in just a few months.

Ari had had a few pool experiences with my wife and I before starting lessons. But mostly, pools came with a lot of fear and led to a lot of crying. After starting classes at British Swim School, within just a few classes, that fear and all those tears turned into giggling excitement and happy anticipation. It's been a wonderful transformation to watch. Undoubtedly, the credit for Ari's new love of swimming goes to the caring, knowledgeable instructors at the School. Their instruction relieved any safety fears I had, and their in-pool enthusiasm -- a mix of singing and hands-on guidance -- was soon absorbed by our daughter. Recently our little future Olympian was promoted from Tadpole (i.e. dads in the water) to Starfish (essentially, one-on-one with a School instructor), and Ari's excitement for swim class has been rapidly increasing ever since. I want to thank Valbona, the manager of the Continental branch of the British Swim School, for gathering such a great group of instructors and for the personal care she's shown to Ari and all of the other students. If you're thinking of swim lessons for your child, this is definitely the place to go.

Keep kids involved and interested all through the class. The span of class time (30 mins) just go in a blink of an eye. Very fun way of teaching kids. We coach with Coach Micheal and he's awesome. The best coach we could ask for. He super fun and teaches the kids super fast. The grading is done almost every week. Keeps the record updated and answers a lot of questions parents might have.

I took advantage of the free trial and I'm glad I did, because we will not be returning unfortunately. I'll start with the positives first, my 5 year old son looked like he had a good time. It was one swim instructor to about 3 children, and one by one she dealt with them, talking to them, while the others watched. He received googles during his time in the water, and overall looked like he was having a good experience. My 3 year old daughter on the other hand... was put in a lane that had two swim instructors, and four toddlers. Upon having both my children enter the water, I let the instructors know this was their very first time. My daughter's instructor asked me if it would be okay to dunk her which I appreciated, and I said if she is comfortable. That was all the positives for my daughter's experience. The two instructors talked to themselves the ENTIRE time. I do have all of this on video. I did not see my daughter receive any instruction. My daughter is very smart, and very brave, she watched what the other children were doing and copied them, but absolutely no instruction was given to her. Mind you, I'm sitting right in the front watching the whole thing!! You would think they would try just a smidge harder. Again, all of this is on video. When it came down to the dunking, my daughter was asked if she was okay going under, she said no. The instructor proceeded to dump water on her head, no explanation, no warning. My daughter was very confused, but she remained calm and kept wiping the water out her eyes. I'm so disappointed. Additionally, the other 5/6 swim instructors that did not have a class were talking so loudly amongst themselves, it was a very uncomfortable environment. Such a shame. I give an additional star only because my son's instructor was doing what she was supposed to do.

Instead of accepting defeat respectfully, he tries to exploit loopholes and fabricate rules that don't exist within the league. He previously obtained a forfeit win against another team using similar tactics, and after losing 7-0 to us, he again attempted to lie about our roster numbers to force another forfeit. Given how blatantly he is willing to lie and cheat to gain an advantage, I would seriously second-guess sending my child to a program led by someone who displays this kind of behavior. It reflects very poorly on the integrity of the team and the spirit of the game.

The young girl who was the instructor was awesome. She was very engaging with the babies and patient with the parents. I love that they work to condition the babies to water being poured on their head. And there's plenty of time to sit on floaties and play with cool toys. I appreciated that Even though my husband was in the pool, I was able to get good footage of him and my son, especially since this was our first time visiting. Most staff members are very young, initially it was a little off putting but everyone was pleasant. Blow dryers came in handy when drying my little ones hair since he was freezing when he got out the pool. Definitely looking forward to our next lesson

It was quickly clear to us that Goldfish has a curriculum that works. Within a few lessons at Goldfish, she could swim half a length of the pool. Now she's close to passing Glider 3 and can swim completely on her own. The kids love their teachers and the management staff (especially Nicole). We highly recommend Goldfish.
