If you know what you want and you are not particular about the name brand, you can quickly find what you need for most sports. Bass Pro shop and REI will have specific gear for the enthusiast. I told the lady at the register and she looked at me like I did it. She then proceeded to open the box and sure enough, the strings were damaged. I told her I purchased the tent a week ago and I was able to find some time to set it up when I noticed it was damaged. She then rudely told me that their equipment should be new and it's not possible for it to be damaged. I argued with her and told her that I thought it was brand new but i guess it wasn't. It was in it's original packaging.. Finally, she accepted it as an exchange and told me to grab another one. She said if it happens again, I'm going to have to take it up with the manufacturer... Really?? It's not my fault it was broken.. I then grabbed a "new" one and she asked if I'd like to check it before checking out. I said okay, I checked over the sticks and it looks fine. I told her what about the tent, what if there is a hole. She told me I can open it up in the store but there was no room to do that.. so I told her that I'll just set it up today at home and if it's not good I'll bring it back. She then proceeded to do the exchange then told me it was going to be $17.99.. wait.. I'm exchanging.. why do I need to pay. She said initially it was purchased with a coupon.. I said okay... So use the same coupon.. she then said she didn't have a coupon, so she made me look for the same coupon.. I found one on their website and luckily it worked and covered the $17.99.. I got out of there and was pretty upset. What was supposed to be an easy exchange turned into an argument and her accusing me of damaging their product... Not coming back to this store..

The staff that helped me out was incredibly quick and nice. The main woman working at the store was great and we had a nice conversation. With all the price increases due to the pandemic, it's hard to find equipment and even harder to find it at a good price. New equipment is usually out of stock and expensive to ship and used equipment is price gouged like a bad Econ 101 lesson. Griffin still has decent stock and the option for local pickup is a game changer. Even if you don't want to make the hike to Ontario, the shipping rates are pretty reasonable. As a reference point, the flat bench would have cost $40 to ship to LA. I'm excited to see what else they'll start offering. Their current inventory is sweet and simple, similar to a burger chain that calls SoCal home as well. You might have heard of it. Anyway, it'll be fun to watch Griffin grow, but for now they have the essentials and a good amount of stuff for anyone to get started with. Don't hesitate to come to the showroom if you're on the fence. The stuff they have is very close to Rogue in quality at a fraction of the cost and on par if not better than REP (and assuredly better than Titan). Their pieces also look great and there's appreciable attention to detail.

Our instructor, Bing (aka Lux) was incredibly welcoming from the moment the class started. He's a fantastic presenter who shared meaningful, practical information in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely engaging. Lux has a fun personality, and his passion for backpacking is absolutely contagious. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and he was clearly born to teach this class. I left feeling inspired, more confident, and excited to plan my first backpacking trip. I highly recommend both the class and this instructor! Thanks REI.

Had hoped to get the same customer service here in California however was surprised to find, although my $20.00 card your store offered for becoming a member had expired, the on duty manager stated he could not honor or support my current purchase in any way in light of the expired signing up card. My purchase was for an expensive pair of shoes needed for an upcoming event; however elected to shop elsewhere after finding my customer loyalty was not of value. Hoping your store leaders can make better customer service decisions that would keep customers by offering some latitude for purchases that are revenue worthy for something as little as $20.00.

If I could give zero stars, I would…read more I purchased a 24 oz insulated Dodgers chrome draft cup from this store on 12/11/25 for $40 as a Christmas gift for my husband. He opened it on 12/25, but we didn't actually use it until mid-January. On his very first use, the coffee spilled all over him because the lid was cracked. I tried to avoid driving an hour back to the store, so I searched everywhere online for a replacement lid but couldn't find anything even remotely close. My last option was to return to the store to see if they would replace the defective lid. Unfortunately, I was told the return/exchange window had passed by just three days (01/15), and the employee refused to help. He even called the manager, who also said there was nothing they could do. When I asked where I could buy a replacement lid, the employee didn't know and mentioned that other customers have had the same issue with this type of lid -- which makes this even more concerning. To make matters worse, the only solution offered was for me to buy another insulated cup. That felt like a slap in the face considering the one I bought was defective. Because this was a Christmas gift, it sat in a gift bag for a while, which caused the defect to be discovered too late. For a store to refuse to help over three days, especially right after Christmas, is unreasonable and poor customer service. I will not be shopping at this location again.

Do not shop here.

The only problem was that what I purchased for my firearm had been returned and it was missing parts. So I'm going to return and double check the contents. I'm from Sacramento and we don't have that store there. We have Turnners and 511. This store I will order from and will be going everytime I visit my family here. Thank you Antonio. I was there for an hour and he knew what I was looking for and had info on everything. If he didn't know everything, he looked it up. Awesome guy and employees. The Turnners next door was not as helpful and didn't know what I was looking for. The Turnners at home in Sacramento know me by name and are the best. Wish we had a LAPD store at home.

Both stores have great selections, but focusing on this one.. you'll find a wide variety of shoes, solid clothing options in different materials for different professions, and plenty of cool accessories like flashlights, knives, and even t-shirts you can wear outside of work. The shop itself is very clean and well kept. The only downside is the employees can be hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get someone super helpful, and other times you might catch a bit of attitude depending on the day. Overall though, if you're looking for a one-stop shop to grab everything you need for work or if you're just into knives and gear; this is the place to check out.
