We solicited help on Yelp from a few pest control companies and Advanced said they could get her house treated that same day. This worked out well because the next day we were leaving to drive home to WA. We spoke to a salesman, Dru, and got the service call scheduled for the same day. She set up a quarterly recurring service and provided her payment information. The technician was supposed to arrive that afternoon before 7PM. We waited all afternoon and he never showed up. I called the office and was told he had called in sick, so they would have to reschedule for the next day. This was very frustrating because we were leaving the next morning and wanted to be there when the technician arrived since my sister-in-law is uncomfortable with letting strangers into her home. I soon got a call back from Dru who apologized for the mixup and said he would credit her the cost of the first treatment and have the tech out the next day. We scheduled so that he would arrive during the time her caregiver would be there. We spoke to my sister-in-law the next day and she confirmed he arrived and took care of the treatment. However, a week later her caregiver trapped three rodents on a sticky trap and tossed them in the trash. We advised her to call them back to do another treatment and looks for new signs of rodents, as well as to see if they could tell how they were getting inside. I reached out to the company and she had not contacted them (she's elderly and disabled so I'm not surprised). I got a response within a few minutes. They arranged for the office to schedule a follow-up visit to get the rodent situation under control and try to find out how they are getting inside. Now we are hoping this rodent problem gets resolved! They also treat for insects so hopefully she no longer be getting bugged by uninvited visitors!

To make matters worse, they charge you fees just to cancel. This is an unfair business practice, and I would not recommend doing business with this company.

I told the salesperson multiple times that I was not interested in ongoing pest control service, but he continued pushing the service. I eventually agreed only after he represented to me that I could receive the treatment one time and then cancel. What was not clearly verbally disclosed or explained to me was that cancelling after that initial treatment would result in a $299 charge. Had the salesperson clearly told me, "You can cancel after the first treatment, but you'll owe $299 if you do," I would never have agreed. When I later cancelled and disputed the $299 charge, I explained this directly to the company. Their response focused heavily on saying that a contract had been emailed to me instead of addressing my concern about what their salesperson represented and failed to clearly explain during the door-to-door interaction. I have preserved video and audio relating to the solicitation, and I have now filed a formal complaint with the California Structural Pest Control Board regarding the sales interaction and disclosure of the cancellation charge. My issue is not simply that cancellation language exists in the paperwork. My issue is how the service was presented to me at my door after I repeatedly declined and the fact that the $299 consequence was not clearly verbally explained before I agreed. If you live in the 95829 area or surrounding Sacramento neighborhoods and Fast Action comes to your door, take your time and read every term before agreeing to anything. Pay particular attention to the length of the agreement and any early-cancellation charges. This review reflects my personal experience with the company.

All Clear was one of the two companies that returned my call and thankfully they were able to get a technician out sooner. They sent Grant out a few days later to evaluate our property. Grant let me know ahead of time he was coming so I was prepared. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He evaluated the situation and spent 45 minutes going over my options with me. In the end a lot of what could be done was dependent on me purchasing products myself and doing work but I felt a lot more confident about what to do and how to proceed. His information was extremely valuable and he didn't even charge me for the visit! Several weeks later and the rats are far fewer in number. I would definitely recommend calling All Clear Pest Control for your pest problems.
