Yesterday I didn't receive a call back so I again called AiM. After being put on hold for 7 minutes by an apathetic rep the call ringed back into the system I finally got in contact with a different rep who was genuinely sympathetic to my frustration and apologized for my troubles. She took my information and I was called later that day by a supervisor in Michigan who also apologized profusely, immediately rescheduled my inspection for today and also asked me to recount in detail my poor experience with the previous inspector. He said that it shouldn't have happened and it would be reported to the appropriate personal. Today the inspector had a great attitude and was legitimately helpful with my explaining potential repairs and my best course of action. Had this been my initial experience my entire takeaway would be different. AiM is a company that is clearly marred by substandard employees both in the call centers and in the field. I suggest they improve their standards for workers and training to avoid the situations myself and others here have experienced. read more

Theoretically the end of lease inspection is complimentary and required for a nissan lease. Unfortunately there is no response after attempting to set up the inspection by phone or the online process. Everything appears done , then I am informed that it will be confirmed within 24 hours, wait for the call or email. It has not happened yet, even after multiple calls and 2 weeks of waiting. The local nissan dealer is of no help either. No calls were returned. After more calls the parts department(why?) claims that an inspection can be set up if I pay $185 plus tax! read more

Had a horrible experience with AiM for my end-of-lease inspection, which was recommended by VW. Their initial estimate was around $4,000, filled with erroneous charges. It took me 2-3 months of back-and-forth with VW to get everything cleared--except for the one valid charge (a single tire replacement for $500). Communication with AiM was nearly impossible, making an already frustrating process even worse. This place needs to be audited and shut down for malpractice. Please note that while Aim Mobile Inspections claims to perform 'pre-purchase' vehicle inspections, their 'stock and trade' is doing inspections for dealers for vehicles coming off-lease. So, essentially, these inspections are looking for 'wear and tear' and instances of collision damage. THEY DO NOT PERFORM ANY ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTIONS! Any decent pre-purchase inspection MUST include attaching an OBDII scanner and checking for obvious codes, especially recently cleared codes that could indicate the seller may be attempting to hide major engine problems. He did find a small crack in the windshield which the dealer got fixed but nothing else. So I agree to buy the car and had it delivered. When it arrived I took a quick look at it and noticed a white spot on the black front seat. Also the impact bar under the back bumper had been painted over and did not match any thing close to the bumper color. So I contacted AIM and was put in contact with quality control. I sent them pictures and Michael in QR told me he would reach out to the Manager and District Manager. Well every time after that was told they were looking at it and so after 4 calls I asked for DM phone number. Contacted Lester DM manager and he told me did not know anything about it wtf! Left a message for Micheal in QR but did not hear back so I texted and told him I would be contacting my CC company as well as going on social media. He called me right away but would not admit the obvious that it was flat out missed and was not going to do any thing about it. Also tried to tell me looked like some one had cleaned the seat to imply the auto dealership did it after the inspection. Told him I used to own a Restoration Company and we did cleaning. AIM sucks. Clear enough? My inspection was scheduled between 12pm-5pm and the inspector called at 11am to let me know he was coming over at 11:15am. I was in the office, about 45 min commute to where the Audi was parked. I said no, we will meet at noon and he agreed. I took the underground home, left the office early, cancelled meetings, etc. and when getting closer to home AIM had left a message indicating Jeremy (510-298-8990) had had a "family emergency" (sunny Friday afternoon....) and CANCELLED the appointment. Ten minutes before? This is beyond lame and unacceptable. I called back and the robot/CSR could only reschedule. No other inspectors, no Saturday appointments, nothing like that. These people should be out of business. And Audi will be notified first thing Monday morning. read more

My inspector was nice and came right at 12:00 and even gave me a call to give me a heads up... but when I opened up the inspection report he reported a $207 for a "chipped hood." My infinity lease asked me to schedule an appointment with this company. I scheduled this appointment over a month in advance. Time frame was 8am-12pm, which is a pretty large time frame. By 12:20pm, no one was at my home and no call from no body. I called AiM and they gave me the dispatch number (866-621-9123). I called and an, unprofessional woman answered, you could hear the TV at full volume and she could not even hear me. Of course, her TV was at full volume. finally, she put me on hold and another woman answered (Nadia). She had no clue who I was. I rushed to explain who I was and why I "was calling her". AiM Mobile Inspections did a fantastic job in all areas! I live in California and was looking to purchase an Aston Martin in West Palm Beach, FL. Since I couldn't physically go to view the vehicle, I hired AiM Mobile Inspections to do the inspection on my behalf. After submitting my request, I was promptly contacted by Ed with the inspection date. While I was hoping to have the inspection performed earlier, it was still within a week. I spoke with my inspector prior to arriving to go over some specific details I wanted him to review and he was very accommodating and professional. In a matter of an hour, he completed his inspection and shortly after, I received an email with a link to my report. He even emailed me copies of the service records during his off-hours. The report was very comprehensive and included pictures of the entire vehicle and all blemishes. My only complaint is that the inspector stated he would call me immediately after, which he did not do. While I'm sure he would eventually call me the same day, I was anticipating that he call me within minutes of the completion of the inspection. But that would be my only complaint and why I wouldn't give them 5 stars. But in terms of quality, they are top notch and come highly-recommended. read more

Last Monday, I called to make an appointment with Alliance for a vehicle inspection. The gentleman on the phone (I wish I remembered his name), was very professional and kind. I was able to get an appointment on the day that I wanted. I was pretty nervous about the upcoming inspection. I had heard horror stories about inspectors and all of the astronomial charges that are owed due to wear and tear on a car. I knew my car was in great shape and clean, but I was still pretty nervous. The inspector that came to my home was Jerry. He called about 30 minutes in advance letting me know he was on his way. When he arrived, he greated me with a smile and told me what the process would be. He made the whole process pretty painless and while doing his inspection he would tell me what he was looking for. The whole process was quick, lasted 2 days. I submitted my request in the afternoon, next morning the system was updated with a scheduled inspection for the same day, and the following morning I had my report. Great! The report revealed a few cosmetic problems with the interior and exterior (chipped leather, dents, scratches, prior repair) but none of them were represented in the pictures! They were briefly mentioned in the report (describing the length of affected area) but without pictures it's not possible to get an accurate 'picture' of each problem. Another issue is that the pictures posted in the report are in a needlessly low 640x480 resolution, which makes it impossible to zoom in and glance at details from the distant shots that cover the entire car body. Had the inspector posted close ups of the problem areas, this may not have been necessary, but still, there's no justification for using such a low resolution nowadays. The information in the report doesn't let me make a decision about the vehicle and I may have to hire a different company to do the job right. EDIT: They promptly sent out a more knowledgeable person to redo the inspection. I'm quite happy with both the inspection itself and their attentiveness to the issue I brought up. I ended up buying the vehicle! Knocking one star because they don't support high resolution pictures yet. read more

I reached out to AiM for inspection of a car I was planning on buying. I was in Philadelphia, the car was in Northern NJ. AiM couldn't have been easier to do business with, provided quick turnaround and outstanding customer service. I called Wednesday and had a report in my Inbox by Friday. The report I received was detailed, including pictures of all damage, and gave me the confidence to make the long drive North to purchase the car. The price was entirely reasonable for the quality of the report. I called on A Friday and immediately got an appointment for Monday (12/31). My inspection time frame was 12-5pm but the inspector called at 11am to say he could come ASAP if I was available. I had an appointment and told him I would not be home until noon, he said he would go to another job in the area and call me back to see if I was available. He called again at 11:45 and asked to come do the inspection if I was available. He said he was 25 minutes away and would give me a call when he arrived. He did just as he said. Well if you are interested in not how to run a business take a page out of their book. They take pictures of your car that has "damages", yet all anyone can see is a car in perfect shape from the pictures. If you are going to make up a claim of multiple dents then why don't your pictures even show one dent?? Then they tell me that they weren't even the inspectors of the automobile and try to pass the buck on someone else. It is a big scam and after reading reviews of others looks like I'm not alone. If you have to change your appointment, they must cancel your existing appointment before they can even tell you if there is another appointment available. After reading the reviews, I almost cancelled my lease inspection. I am glad I didnt. The inspection was very fair and accurate and only took 20 minutes. The inspector knew about Ford's policies and told me that the chip in my windshield would only be $50 when I turn it in. I thought I would have to replace the entire windshield for $300+. Just received a letter from my old Hyundai leasing company for an 2014 Elantra that I turned in, and am being told I need to pay $345.00 because of the Excess Wear & Tear damages that AIM has reported on my car. Mind you these so called "damages" are small dents that I was told by the dealership would be considered "NORMAL" wear & tear. Also, the fact that one of the dents that's being reported for damage was caused by the dealership is beyond insane. As other reviewers posted not only on Yelp but Google as well, this company is not about the customer at all, They dont even deserve 1 star especially when they include horrible quality photos of "dents/damages" that do not show said damages. They claim a repair done to the back fender was inferior. It was done thru my insurance company USAA and first rate. This company had extremely poor communication with me during the process. I tried calling them five times within a 24 hour period and they did not answer the phone once. The voicemail said to leave a message but their voicemail box was full. I was trying to reach them because I learned the vehicle I was wanting inspected was sold. I sent multiple emails with a final one asking for a refund before the service was performed. They did refund the payment but never made any attempts to contact me regarding any of my other emails. I used AIM service 3 times before to do a pre-owned vehicle inspection. All 3 cars had detailed inspections and I had no problems with the cars after purchase. I recently decided to give them my hard-earned business again because they earned it. They completed the inspection and provided me with a report. The report showed no issues with the car. When I bought the car I immediately realize the AC was blowing hot air on the passenger side vents. I did not have the car for an entire day and realized this issue. I contacted AIM and was greeted with resistance by Lori who did not seem to be able to want to do anything about it. Basically, her response was tough luck and it was working when we inspected it have a nice day. That was not the type of customer service I expected. What was the point of ordering this service if they can't uncover an obvious issue like this? I am not even an expert and I noticed it. I asked to have this escalated and then Kevin stepped in. He at least wanted to get to the bottom of it. Kevin instructed me to get the car inspected and documented. I took my car to the mechanic and after a week the mechanic was able to repair it. The mechanic added refrigerant which was just at spec and a reset of the AC module. As instructed, it was well documented and forwarded to AIM. Kevin contacted me empathizing with my problem, but he expected me to believe the inspection was quality after I found the issue with the AC after one day of driving the car. He offered no refund or reimbursement of the 336.00 I paid for the mechanic to fix. To sum it up I paid for a service at AIM and I still ended up paying to fix issues AIM was supposed to identify. Ask yourself would you ever use them again after this? They have lost my business because they could not even provide a refund to help make up for the fact that I ended up with an AC problem immediately after inspection. If you can admit this is rare then why not give me a refund. Do something to keep the good will of your customer. This was A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY and a missed opportunity to earn a customer for life. I find it hard to believe this would be considered quality service after this miss. It wasn't like I was making up the AC issue. It was documented fully, and I hoped AIM would have made it right after a clear miss on their side. read more

AIM inspection company is the worst! My lease is paid in full and I just want to return it to Nissan but AIM can't do the inspection for 30 days. I provided 4 different address within Maryland and Virginia to get the soonest appointment and I was told it's is 30 days out. The worst place to get your car inspected. I had an inspection schedule & no one ever showed up. Mind you their is a large window they could come in or call. So I called the 1800 to a very disrespectful young lady that informed me the inspector had called out. Yelp isn't that something. So if i don't call i would have never found out that the guy was never going to show up. So i go ahead and let her known that this isn't ok they should at least be calling customer to let them know that that inspector was not going to come in and that the appointment needed to be re scheduled. Long story short she was very bother by what i was telling her, i wasn't disrespectful but i let her know that my time is valuable and that they should be re scheduling if an inspector calls out. She wasn't taking it so she hung up. I'm sorry but I need a more reliable company that can come out and send out someone even if one of their inspector calls out. It is not up to the customer to keep accommodation their lack of staff and value of a company to make up for their short comings. I do not know whether AIM perhaps used to be a good business, but as of today they are either completely incompetent or else an outright scam. 1) 6 days ago, I ordered and paid $419.99 for the platinum inspection service for a used BMW I am considering. The confirmation email I received said that AIM would follow up to confirm VIN and car details within 24-48 hours. Really? Since VIN was already confirmed on the web site, they cannot bother to "call to confirm" a second time? And when they inspect, they can check the VIN anyway so wtf? This is obviously just a delay but that is only the beginning... 2) After 24 hours and no response, call, email etc. I called so I could at least confirm the VIN and get a date set. The phone rang forever, but when someone answered he told me that the person who does internet sales was busy and I would have to call back in a few hours... when I did call back, the lady I spoke with was so rude and clueless that I cannot begin to describe it. It took 5 minutes to explain that my email address is my name. She could not schedule anything live. 3) 4 days ago, the dealership (where the used car is) said they received a voice mail and the inspection was setup. The inspection was set for a date 5 days after my order FYI. The dealer called AIM multiple times to confirm date and to set a time, but those calls were never returned. I never received ANY call or email from AIM. 4) Yesterday, the date of the scheduled inspection, no one showed up. The dealer called AIM multiple times beginning at 12pm but the call was not returned until 430pm. When it was returned, AIM said the inspection was no setup because the dealer had not confirmed the time (despite the fact that AIM gave the date and did not ask for conformation, and did not return phone calls asking for confirmation). 5) Still nothing from AIM to me. I have received no call, email, etc. informing me of any problem or that an inspection had even been scheduled. Avoid AIM at all costs. Scam or incompetency result is the same. At best, you may get an inspection done in a week or two, whenever AIM gets around to it. At worst, you may be stuck like I am with a Paypal fraud claim that will take a month to get resolved. read more

I have now just been notified out of the blue by SRA Collections that I owe $363 for wear & tear from this lease. Neither AIM inspections nor Hyundai made any attempt to contact me prior to turning this matter over to a collection agency. I checked my Credit Report and Hyundai did file this on my report a couple weeks ago, but as I mentioned, I was never contacted directly! This smells awful fishy. read more
