Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

No call no show. Contacted him to ask what happened, stated the appointment never went to Carlos, he's sorry. I said okay things happen, what next? Matt stated he has satellite pictures of the house and would send over some estimates......a week later we're still waiting. Decided to go with another company. ps, Nice try. Since you failed to post the follow up email you wrote after I sent that, I'll do it for you...

We recently hired Build Brothers for our solar and roofing project, and the experience was solid…read morefrom start to finish. Evan, our service advisor, was especially great to work with. He was professional, attentive, and respectful of both our concerns and our budget. He even went the extra mile by personally taking a sample of the shingle to our HOA to secure approval before the install that was moved up. Because we were trying to complete everything before the soon expiring tax credit, the timeline really mattered to us. The Build Brothers team was fast, responsive, and even moved our install up by several weeks, which we truly appreciated. The final result looks clean and well done, and everyone on the roofing and solar crews carried themselves professionally. We did experience a couple of small glitches such as receiving a plug installation for the charger when we had paid for it to be hardwired for safety reasons, and the team initially bringing a regular charger instead of the universal one we purchased. Given how many customers they are trying to help before the tax rebate ends, we understood how these hiccups could happen. What mattered most is that they handled both issues quickly and with no hassle. Overall, we are genuinely glad we chose Build Brothers. They delivered on what they promised, took care of us throughout the process, and we would confidently recommend them to others.

If you were looking for the worst experience in choosing and executing a solar panel and battery…read moreinstall feel free to choose Harness, but be warned it'll cost Money aggravation and most importantly at least a year's worth of time. They are mismanaged, their communication is non existent and I wouldn't recommend them even to my worst enemy. What they promised would take 4 months turned out to be just short of a year. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS, and they were the most expensive bid I received, so do yourself a favor and go with the second highest bid.

Another company with shady business practices that sends sales people door to door. I want to give…read more5 stars to the poor autistic guy they're sending around but by principle I refuse to support this nonsense. I don't care that you're supposedly doing work on a house half a mile away and I don't care what you have to sell. I won't buy it if you come to my door. I'm sure the autistic guy is guinely good and I really appreciate that they gave him a job but please find something else for him to do. No I will not purchase your product or services even if you're the best company on earth. If you want to get my attention, leave a legitimate hand written quote at my door with a cost way lower than all your competitors. Don't be lazy. Do the leg work and get my business the honest way. Update in response to owner: Like I said, there's no way I'm giving anyone a chance if they come to knock on my door and try to sell me anything. Come up with a better business model. No one wants to be disturbed at home.

Very disappointed with Sunrun. After the solar installation, we had our roof inspected, and the…read moreinspector confirmed that the installation crew caused extensive damage throughout the roof, including cracked and missing tiles. We were informed the damage is severe enough that we may now need an entirely new roof. To make matters worse, Sunrun has not been willing to properly help resolve the situation and has been giving us the runaround instead of taking responsibility. A solar installation should not leave homeowners dealing with major roof damage and expensive repairs.

The sales pitch is very reminiscent of timeshare sales where they make you sign documents on the spot without allowing you time to really think about it and won't show you the cost of their proposal until then. We decided to cancel the project and I confirmed with the main sales rep we didn't have to do anything formally to cancel. After that, I've been reached out by the other sales rep with him trying to sell me more options. I've also been called multiple times across the last few weeks asking about our project. I spoke with a customer service rep and he 1) confirmed it was cancelled on their end and 2) added a note to not call or contact me anymore. Within days someone else from Sunrun texted me about this same project. This company is such a pain to deal with. Wish we never started and glad we didn't commit to a long-term project.
