I was in ridiculous pain and my regular dentist could not do the root canal to me because I had a curved nerve so she assigned me to him ( specializing only in root canals ). Long story short, came here at 8:00 AM and left at about 9:00 AM, very happy the root canal was painless and if I ever need another root canal ( God forbid ) I'll make sure to come to him. This review has been updated after the dental office manager talked to me. This review is specifically for Dr. Celine, who I have learned is no longer employed at this practice. I initially wanted to go here out of convenience. I live in Glendale, but my usual dentist, who is out-of-network on my dental insurance, is located in Northridge. I thought I could save some funds by going to someone who was in my dental network at the time and also located in the same city I live in, however, I have regrets regarding my decision of having the procedure done here. I had 2 root canals done in 2018. The appointment was quick. I remember thinking the dentist looked young, and this honestly worried me a little bit, but I should not judge someone's skill by their age, right? I felt assured, as Yelp reviews for this office were pretty stellar, and I was honestly hoping for the older endodontist (whom I believe owns this practice) to perform the root canals, but this wasn't the case. I remember hearing the conversation between the dental assistant and Dr. Celine. I believe the doctor would be going on a New Mexico trip shortly after my procedure and maybe the dental assistant was going to Texas. The end result of one of my root canals was not successful :( the tooth was not saved. I went back to my regular dentist, and he mentioned the tooth was cracked, the root canal was unsuccessful, and I would now need a dental implant. My current dentist told me, "Why did you go to a new dentist? If you had done your root canal here, we could have put the amount spent on the failed root canal towards a dental implant. This was $1,262 out of my pocket and straight to this dentist for an unsuccessful root canal. Granted, after their office had seen my one-star review, they contacted me and offered me a refund for their services. Thank you!! But, in addition to that refund: I am still out $2,700 because I paid for a new dental implant. If you are not aware of the process, a dental implant is a months-long process--one in which I need to visit my dentist every 2 weeks so that they are able to check on the hopefully successful progress of my bone accepting a new dental implant. I wish I had not visited Dr. Celine at this office. It is true...it's hard to find a good dentist! So, I will be sticking to mine, even if I have to drive out 40 minutes for every visit. read more

Root canals are usually a scary and painful scenario to go through but I couldn't have had a better experience with Dr. Sadeghein and his staff. I am 34 yo, I received a 2nd root canal from Dr. Sadeghein about 8 years ago from an failed root canal which caused me symptoms on and off for many years. I suspect the procedure was unnecessarily performed on me at the age of 10, by a different dentist, when my family and I were on Medical. I have been symptom free in the past 8 years from my 2nd root canal. I recently returned to his office for a check up prior to receiving a new crown and so far things are still looking good. I came in pretty apprehensive about the work I needed. OK, I was flat out terrified. I had a bad tooth that I dealt with for about 9 months...and finally I gave in as I just couldn't stand the pain and cold/hot sensitivity any longer. From the minute I walked into the office all the folks working there were kind and gentle and understanding. When I met the doctor he was just great. I had my root canal about a month ago but I wanted to hold off the review until I was fully healed and saw my regular dentist for the post and crown. Dr. Sadeghein was great. He fully answered all my questions and explained the procedure fully. His staff was friendly and efficient. My regular dentist Dr. Hoyt in San Dimas CA said he did such a good job on my root canal that he was going to put him on the referral list for patients living in the San Fernando Valley that need an endodontist. Healing time was only a day and I only needed OTC 200mg I.B.Profen for pain. I hate dental work but if I ever need another service like this I will be back to Dr. Sadeghein. read more

He took a non emergency phone call during my root canal and left me in the chair with a piece of plastic holding my mouth wide open, lips in pain from the stretching, for over 10 minutes. (POOR JUDGEMENT/DISRESPECT/THOUGHTLESS/UNKIND) I finally yelled for the assistant to remove the plastic. No apology. Then charged me $25 for a follow up x-ray which should have been included. When I asked him to explain something he seemed put off and exasperated. The man is almost 80 years old. PERHAPS IT'S TIME TO RETIRE. Had some pain after the procedure but didn't complain because I didn't want to have to endure any more time in that chair. Would not go back to him. Would not recommend him at all. Wow, was I scared of having a root canal done. And worried about the price, even though I have insurance. First off, the prices are fair here, so that was great. And the Sadeghein will get you through what could be a scary process quickly by encouraging you to wear your headphones while he works. Excellent endodontist! I have had my share of problems with dentists after a particular dentist created a mess in my mouth...so I wassomewhat weary, but he was fantastic.... Fixed the mess the other dentist created. I am a physician myself, and I appreciate when I see a dentist that is professional, doesn't push for unnecessary invasive procedures, and is timely! I had my first root canal done by Dr. Sadeghein yesterday. I wasn't quite sure what to expect since other people told me how painful it is. This Dr. has been working for over forty years and obviously loves what he does! I experienced absolutely no pain and he is very kind and gentle...always asking how you are doing.(I was in the chair for almost two hours too!) Everyone in the office is very nice... the assistant was great too! She had to take a lot of xrays but was very gentle. She even went over all the xrays she took at the end and explained them all to me. I told them if I could have given them a tip I would have! And the office validates for parking too! This was my first time getting a root canal treatment, I went to Dr Sadeghein's office on 8/26/14 (being in unbearable pain) and he determined that i needed a root canal treatment, that being said, the appointment was set for the next day, 8/27/14. I was in doubt if it was going to be a painful procedure or not from reading all the stuff on the internet and let me tell you, there is a reason this man is called a specialist, he did not bombard me with medication he simply gave me 2 shots of the numbing medication they use (don't know the name lol) and from there i did not feel anything, and i mean it when i tell you ANYTHING. This hurt less then getting my tooth cleaned let alone having a tooth filling done. Professional staff I would definitely recommend anyone that is looking to get a root canal to go to this doctor because they say that if it is not done right, it will cause problems later on and you will need to re do the whole procedure again costing you twice. So it is better to pay a little more and get it done by a person that can do this in his sleep. It has now been 4 hours after surgery and the numbness has worn off and everything seems to be okay. Hands down one of the best Dentists I have ever been to. I have had a total of 4 root canals under anesthesia and I have had no problems whatsoever. I had little to no pain afterwards. I can't speak for the actual procedure because I was asleep but the after care was great. If you are thinking of doing a root canal under sedation it is totally worth it. The anesthesiologist he uses is fantastic-and I'm a nurse so that's really saying a lot about the quality of care and safety. read more

He is a top notch professional with a very caring and kind manner. He explains every step he is about to perform in his procedure before he does it. The true test of a doctors's office however is how caring they are after your visit. The morning after my root canal I was concerned about the high level of pain I was experiencing. I called the office minutes before their scheduled opening time and I expected to get a voice message. Instead their front desk person answered, I explained my issue and within 1/2 hour I was in the chair and being attended to by Dr. Sadeghein who examined, explained what was causing the extra pain and wrote a prescription.
