(These things are free-ish) so to speak. A little extra jalapeños I get the screw face. Wasabi on the side that is more than a half a tea spoon I get the screw face. This place is awesome. They have a a variety of bowls that are all affordable. You can get the regular bowl and still expect to be full because the workers pack each bowl with protein. If you're like me and get every topping imaginable, they're very generous with that too. If you want an extra scoop of crab meet, they will charge you extra. They do not offer sushi rice, just the normal white rice. The staff was very welcoming, kind, and helpful. They were all wearing their masks and sanitizing and changing gloves for each customer. The restaurant itself was very clean and the fish looked properly stored and fresh. They share a lot with a few other businesses but they have plenty of parking available. I love poke so I was stoked about this place opening up in Renaissance. I wanted to use the yelp check in perk of getting an extra scoop of fish but you can only do that if you order the large. I went for it because I happened to be really hungry but in retrospect I think it's overpriced. They have a shield between them and the customers due to the pandemic so it was a bit hard to hear her. And on top of that, she spoke very, very fast. So my experience with Poki bowl places has always been neutral I guess... it seems that most only hire young teenagers... which in itself is ok... so at this particular one, there was no difference... very young staff... I do love the food... taste and freshness... most are not very friendly at all... the last time I went.. it was a late Friday.. they had run out of ginger (understandable they receive there shipments on Mondays) however there was a little left... when I asked for it on the side I noticed that there was some red substance in the container.. I explained to the young lady that was helping me that there was something in there.. she got an attitude and nasty look on her face.. it was just really rude... she was not friendly and just short with her responses.. I can't even begin to explain how amazing this place is. There are so many options and their fish is very fresh. They also offer a super bomb miso soup with big pieces of tofu in it. The staff is really nice and I always make sure to tip big when I go there because I work in fast food as well and I understand how it is. Health and cleanliness standards are not here! The grill is absolutely gross. You could visibly see the char on the grill. While the Caucasian girl( didn't get her name) was cooking the pork on the dirty grill for someone else's order, she then try's to put my Salmon on the same grill.
