This place is pretty good. I stumbled on this location while checking out the gym nearby. You can customize your bowls. I got the Volcano Shrimp bowl but instead of rice, I got greens and kelp noodles. You can add as many toppings as you want and I have to say it was great meal. I got the spicy sauce, seaweed, kimchi and jalapeños as well. Service was friendly and efficient and the dress code is casual. It's a great place to eat a lighter meal that's satisfying in a short amount of time. I will definitely be coming back soon. read more

Their prices are a little bit on the high side, especially if you only get tofu as the protein. So after training at LA Fitness right next to ahipoki, I walked in to wrap a bike for me. In my end, after walking in and seeing one person in line, we stood there for about 3 minutes and unfortunately, no one acknowledged or said, 1 minute or we'll be right with you. So I started talking to the other guy in line, and he said, sometimes it's a pitiful weight, but I told him the only problem with that is there as actually nobody in line. So I waited a few more minutes. Fortunately to still nobody coming up and asking us what we would like to eat. And left I know restaurants get busy sometimes around lunch or dinner. But when there's nobody in line and you still cannot serve the 2 people that are in line, I think there's something wrong with the business model or the manager or the employees, unfortunately, they won't get my business, but hopefully they can learn from this and I guess at least acknowledge people once they walk in. I would say the photos on here look better than what it really is. Ahipoki is not bad, but it's not great either. Their fish was good, but they are a bit stingy with their portions so I wouldn't recommend getting a small. I personally really don't like it when poke spots just put all the toppings on top of the bowl, I like everything mixed in like poke. I had to ask for a lot of sauce since it wasn't mixed in and only drizzled on top. Again, the place was ok, I personally will not be back, I couldn't recommend it, but anyone who comes would not have an awful experience. They offer a wide variety of flavored proteins that I haven't seen at other poke spots. I highly recommend trying the sweet tuna! The customer service was excellent. A little skimpy on the meat portions (salmon and spicy tuna) but I didn't mind too much bc there were so many other toppings to make up for it. Tried this spot since it's all over town. Walked in and picked my fish on those big trays. Went for 3 scoops but wow...each scoop was so tiny I could barely see it. You guys can do better. Usually come here during the week during lunchtime and it's super busy and they have a lot of employees running the line however swung by today and it was absolutely empty with two employees working so you would expect good service however they let us stand there for almost 5 minutes without a single acknowledgment - no welcome in or hello until finally the guy Who looks like the manager decided to come over only when he decided the other worker wasn't going to help us. The rice was so nice and fresh very warm and cooked to perfection! The fish were so fresh tasting I am a sucker for spicy tuna and this spicy tuna was so delicious I wanted to order some extra on the side! I felt the portions were very fair and the staff very kind and patient with me while I was licking my toppings. These jalapeños were no joke though! They got me spiced out! My husbands raves about this place because of their sriracha shrimp bowl. We checked Yelp for store hours and saw it said 9pm so we headed over and got there at 7:45pm...only to be told they close at 8pm. All the chairs were up on the tables as to stop people from eating inside. They also were out of quite a few ingredients and were no longer making the sriracha shrimp bowl because they were already cleaning the stove tops. I understand wanting to go home after a long shift but if they were going to stop cooking and let their ingredients get so low might as well just close at 7:30pm. Since we couldn't get the bowl we wanted we decided to get a 3 protein poke bowl. Firstly the scoops are SMALL, smaller than most other poke spots I've been to. You'd think with them closing soon they'd give bigger portions to use up the fish of the day. Their sauces are ok at best. It was weird to see they don't have a ponzu option. The fish was fresh at least, we ordered spicy salmon, tuna and albacore. We also wanted to try a hand roll, they were no longer offering spicy tuna so we got crab and it was yummy. If you're craving poke and this is closest to you it's ok. But I think I rather go to my usual spot. read more

It was intimidating to see the least but I pushed thru...I got 2 different proteins on brown rice. One was a spicy shrimp and other was avocado tuna mix. It's irritating to me when you go into any establishment, and they act upset because cleaning is more important than helping you and you're undecided. I mean, the place was already spotless. The portions were small, I got a 3 scoop bowl and they give you the bare minimum of everything, my bowl was so small it didn't even fill me up, my friend had to give me what they had left of their huge sub they got from jersey Mike's so I could get full. They do my poki no no, they charge extra for yellowtail and avocado. It's an OK place. Tried Ahipoki for the first time this past week. The place is in a pretty large plaza (office and retail, next to a large sports gym), so parking is not a issue. I ordered a 3 scoop bowl and was rather pleased. The raw poki was good, and they had a ton of different ways to customize it from kimchi to cucumbers to even edamame (as well as many sauces). If you are looking for some Poke, Ahipoki is a decent place to get some. This place is located next to a LA Fitness & a few other fast food restaurant chains. I'm usually craving for poke during a hot day. I wanted to try out this new place after my work out. 1st visit: 2 scoops with brown rice. The rice was hot. Hot rice usually heats up the raw fish and makes it tastes warm. Ideally the rice should be slightly warm but not hot. 2nd visit: half spring salad and half brown rice. Again the rice was hot. By the time I got home, the fish was warm. The raw fish doesn't taste good with hot rice. During both visits, I noticed the server was being a bit stingy with the toppings. Suggestion: it's best to serve the white/brown rice just slightly warm not hot. read more

Glad one is closer to where I live and I don't have to drive to Northridge for the other location. This is one of the better tasting poke places I've been to. First, the the fish looked and tasted fresh. That's the most important in a poke place. I had the tuna, spicy tuna, and kimchi shrimp. I played it safe since it's my first time here. Second, the sauces were very flavorful but not overwhelming as to distract from the fish. I had the house spicy, garlic, and wasabi. As for toppings, I added jalapeños, edemame, cucumber, mangoes, crispy garlic, and sesame seed. Here's the point deduction: I had white rice for my base. It's the cheapest thing on the menu. Hook it up!!! They're so stingy with the rice I had to add my own when I got home...and it still didn't fill me up. The food is tasty but the reason I won't eat here regularly is because it's very small portion and I didn't get full from it. I can add this to my list of places to eat for when I'm not really hungry but I have to eat situations. On another note, that's not specific to this restaurant, but needs mentioning, is that they don't accept hundred dollar bills.
