Solid option for poke bowls Price is better in person than if you order through Yelp. They have plenty of protein options and give a good portion of food. Customer service is friendly and welcoming. It's worth a try!

Food is very good the chicken bbq bowl is very tasty for a bf who doesn't like raw fish, meanwhile I always get a 2 scoop protein bowl just like any other poke place, I love how the menu is a little bigger than your average poke it caters too any friend groups needs the refreshers are a must and the service and ambience is great nothing crazy just a regular nice poke spot

Great staff. A bit slow but they get the job done well and are very friendly. Amazing portions also bowls are a bit pricier than other places but 100% worth it for the portions they give. Food is very delicious. Lots of different options for toppings and fish! I would definitely recommend this place to a friend

A solid spot if you're looking for a build your own poke bowl spot. They have some premade marinated pokes as well. They have a good variety of sauces and toppings. They also have spam musubis which they grill and wrap to order! Service was efficient and the place was clean. Overall the food was tasty and we really appreciated the warm musubi.

The Baseline: For a poke restaurant the fish must be fresh, the Umami must be present (soy, Sesame, miso, citrus acidity, spice), and the presentation of the dish must represent the tradition of the dish. Food: It was 50% off bowls for Grand Opening. The poke bowl I had was a 3 scoop of spicy tuna/lava tuna/limu tuna, white rice, House spicy sauce/soy garlic sauce, edamame, cucumber, green onion, radish, kimchi, Seaweed, and sesame seeds. We also got the grilled salmon bowl and an order of spam musubi. Both were good and the musubi had a good flavor and structure. Service: Smooth and efficient service from staff as they freshly assembled our poki bowl. Friendly and I enjoyed getting the opening discount. Ambiance: Clean and well kept for opening.

Tried the Tuna lava, tuna luau, and limu tuna. The flavors are subtle and definitely not seasoned like hawaiian poke. Portions are generous and plenty of toppings options. Service was fast and friendly. Large parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. Poke flavor 3/5

I'm in love with this new poke place! They give a good amount of scoops, toppings, sauces, etc. I feel like it's a little pricey for my budget but it's worth it if you're really craving it. Workers are very nice and welcoming and quick with it. Eating here also seems sanitary and clean. You can tell I enjoyed this meal!

I was really excited to find a new poke place and had an amazing experience on my first visit which was only 2 nights ago.I ordered the 3 scoops, but since I wanted double salmon and couldn't select salmon twice, I had to choose 2 scoops (tuna & salmon) and add extra salmon. The portion on the first time was huge so much food that I couldn't even finish it. Everything tasted fresh and it left a great first impression. Unfortunately, my second visit was completely different. I ordered again and paid for 3 scoops, but the portion was very small compared to the first time, and they didn't even include the third scoop that I paid for. The bowl looked bare and nothing like my first order. I understand portions can vary, but this was a drastic difference and disappointing, especially since I paid for the same thing. Consistency really matters, and I hope this was just an off day because my first experience set the bar really high. I forgot to take a picture because I was shaking and needed to eat right away.

Great service!! I am soo happy they have pickled radish, my favorite topping. I have never seen it at any other poke place. Marinades were amazing, I got Tuna Lava, Tuna luau, and Limu Tuna. Sauces were delicious. Very clean inside, lots of parking.

Same fine food, unexciting atmosphere, but some doggone great food! I always read the reliable Yelp reviews. One of them said she ordered a double macaroni salad. The service is great. A little wait is worth the fresh cooked bbq!

The photos of the food looked great, and to be fair, the food itself did look and taste good once I finally got it. I ordered the chicken katsu, and the portion and presentation were solid. Where the experience really fell short for me was the service. When I first walked in, no one came out to greet me. The woman working in the back (I later learned her name is Linda) just kept cooking, and it wasn't until another employee asked her to come out that I was actually helped. When she did come out, her demeanor was very short, inflexible, and not particularly kind. It didn't feel welcoming at all. I went ahead and placed my order anyway. It took a while for the food to be prepared, and during that time another customer came in and also waited. Again, the interaction felt more like an obligation than genuine customer service. Overall: Food: Good I'd give the chicken katsu itself about 3.5-4 stars Service: Disappointing - I'd give it closer to 2 stars Because there are several other restaurants up and down this same street serving similar food, I'll be trying those out (probably more than once) before I consider coming back here. If I find a place with comparable food and better service, that's where my money will go. Three stars overall for decent food, but the service needs serious improvement.

Smokey, umami goodness. Got sunny side up eggs with runny yolks that just melt together with the gravy, rice, and pork. Heartwarming and gingery goodness. -BBQ chicken plate: also very solid, not super sweet like teriyaki and comes in a decent sized portion. Mac salad is legit and so good - perfect consistency and seasonings. -French toast: one of the best! A superb doughy, chewy, cinnamony, thick cut slice that I drowned in butter and syrup. My friend was happy I picked this place but the food was not good at least my order. Food. Issues I had the variety plate with a rib, chicken and pull pork. The 3 meats were all over cook to a burnt look and taste. I was able to send it back and it was taken off. The meat sliders were pretty good. The look of the Cole slaw was very wet and not fresh. Very watery. I must say the fries were awesome. They taste as if they were double fired and crispy but moist on the inside.

"Welcome to Gardena Bowl"…read more This was the greeting I got from the jolly, heavyset Hispanic guy working the counter at the Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop. He had such great energy and charisma - something that is missing in this cold and dark world. Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop is truly a hidden gem, especially for folks not from the South Bay area. It's an institution in South Bay and worth the visit for those who are fans of diners or Hawaiian food. Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop is a diner located inside a bowling alley, how cool is that?! The diner opens approximately one hour earlier (8 AM) before the bowling alley (opens at 9 AM), and you'll see some of the senior league members stopping by for their daily coffee. Their waitstaff never miss a beat; they will refill your coffee before you even ask, especially if you're sitting at the counter. The big fella, who I honestly wish I caught his name because he was such a jolly and kind man, gave me some recommendations. He told me to look for the shaka on the menu, as those items are popular dishes. He also provided some of his personal favorites. I decided to go with the Garlic Chicken, which was a healthy portion of crispy garlic chicken that came with a scoop of mac salad, broccoli covered in thousand island dressing, and a slice of an orange. I got a side of bacon and sausage fried rice, as someone on Yelp mentioned it was worth getting. I would probably skip the bacon and sausage next time as it's a protein and sodium overload, but it was definitely good. I think I should have opted for the Kimchi Bacon Fried Rice. There are several dishes I hope to try the next time I visit, such as the Loco Moco and Oxtail Soup. This is a legit Hawaiian-style diner. There's a reason they've been in business since 1945. I liked this spot so much I picked up a shirt to add to my collection. I can't wait to come back again soon!
