Carlos sold me a $425.00 system that was never activated. He told me he was the one who arranges ADT too inactivate my old system when my new was activated. ADT has been charging me for 6 months. I have talked to Carlos several times and he always said he would take care of it. He said he would reimburse me for the ADT charges which he did not. He will not return my phone calls. I was fortunate enough to find a home alarm system company locally that came out and did a phenomenal job. Advanced Home Connect showed up this morning with two workmen and the owner, Carlos. Carlos stayed with them all day and it was perfection. Cleaned up after themselves all new alarm and cameras are working. I would highly recommend this company. Our previous alarm company "ADT" has deteriorated and makes it virtually impossible to talk to a human caring person. Cannot cancel service via internet, cannot get human on phone ever. I would not use this company. He installed the system and cameras at my moms place. He seemed so nice and helpful at first. His service after the installation changed. One of my moms cameras never worked. I called and they could never fix it. Asked him again to return after 1 year of it not working and he said he would show up on a certain morning. I checked AHC's website, read online reviews (including those here), and made an appointment through its website. A few days later AHC's owner, Carlos, visited my property. He didn't try to pressure or scare me, and he did not try to upsell me. Carlos simply listened to what I wanted and provided sensible suggestions. He's unquestionably knowledgeable and professional. He followed up with a very reasonable estimate and I hired AHC. A week later, Carlos installed the system himself, and he explained all aspects including how to use the touchscreen and the app. He is also an extremely decent human being, whom I was more than happy to do business with. I'd hire him again and would easily recommend him without reservation. A final note: I am a long-time ADT customer with systems at other properties. I asked ADT Corporate both by phone and in person for quotes on my new system and if there were any discounts given my history as an ADT customer, and both ADT Corporate estimates, even with purported discounts, were more expensive than what AHC quoted me for the exact same system.
