I'm new to Jacksonville this nail salon is 5mins from home. My first time going. & it was very disappointing. It took 1 hr for them to help me. The man doing my pedi was being really rough. He punched my legs and even scratched the bottom of my foot while massaging me. Now my foot is bruised..I'm not sure if I did something to offend him but I was lost for words I was too embarrassed to tell him to stop. He kept dropping the utensils in my tub of water. I have thought a lot about leaving this review. The man that serviced me rushed though my nails cut me and then charged me a ridiculous amount of money for a fill saying I got color. I was very excited to try an new salon close to my home but I was so upset after my service I wanted to cry. The other people being serviced around me seemed in good spirits and their nails came out great. I came in with a positive attitude and tried to be understand during my service as I know some technicians are new so I wanted to give him the opportunity to practice but at the end of the day I felt like I was a burden and my money was wasted. my favorite place for pedicures in Jacksonville, NC. Polite staff, external clean.

It kills me to write this because both women who did my feet and hands yesterday were so nice, but I feel like I'd be doing a disservice to the people who come to this nail shop. I arrived yesterday and was told the wait was 30 minutes for a pedicure and dip nails. I said that's fine, picked out my color and took a seat. Right at the 30 minute mark my pedicure started. Was it the worst pedicure I've ever had? No. But it didn't match the price of $25. Not even close. After my pedicure I sat down for my nails. It started off fine but as soon as the technician started putting on the color I knew it was going to be wrong. There is a translucent powder that is supposed to be the first layer... and they didn't do that. As she did 3 layers of color (which is normal) it just got worse. As she was buffing with a block and file she cut me 4 times. I even told the technician she got me and she kept going!!! I asked if she was going to smooth everything out with the drill bit (like everyone other manicurist I've been to for dip nails) and she said no. At the very beginning of my experience she said she hated dip nails but it's grown on her. RED FLAG. I should have left them. When she started the top coat she used a brand other then SNS and stuck my hands in the UV light, which is unnecessary for dip nails if she had been using the correct products. By the time I left I wasted $60 + a $5 tip that I felt obligated (by my own standards) to pay and 3 hours of my time. 3 H O U R S. I got in the car and started to better examine my nails and they looked like chewed pieces of bubblegum stuck onto my natural nails. They were lumpy and uneven in length and shape. All the sides were unfinished and you could see where the top coat wasn't applied. Within 30 minutes of leaving my cut fingers were swollen and tender. I will never be coming back. I went to aloha this morning (my normal place which is 10 out of 10) and had this all corrected. Give a quality business your hard earned money. Not somewhere like this that lets the client down. One star because zero isn't an option. If anyone knows how I can get my money back I'd greatly appreciate it. read more

First time going.. i will definitely be back again. My girlfriend and I were very pleased with our manicure and pedicure.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I went in for a pedicure and manicure almost two weeks ago now and my toes are swollen and painful around the nail bed where she dug in without any care and clipped the nails way too low as well. My fingers also keep peeling where the nail bed meets the skin, not to mention she nicked me and I started bleeding while she did the manicure. They are inexperienced to say the least and I will be heading to the doctor to get this pain under control and make sure they did not use dirty equipment. They need to go back to nail basics 101! read more

Came here to get almond shaped acrylic nails. They did NOT measure the initial plastic nail, they did not make sure both hands were the same length and my thumbs literally look mishaps and they are not almond shaped. Love the color hate everything else. I would not and will not recommend. I won't come back myself. read more

I don't even know where to begin right from the start I was asked what I wanted which was two separate services pedicure and Nails. The lady got my thing together put water and just left I was waiting for awhile till she got started. When placing the hot towel she put it right away on my legs which I tried to ignore but it was way to hot. Then I asked for a white color on four toes and glitter on one but she ended up putting glitter on all of them which I was like okay it was pretty but I did tell her I wanted the same thing on my nails but I did want something a little different which I was going to say once my nails were getting done. So she finished and she was starting on my nails and ended trading with the guy nail tech I was okay that's fine but she left to work on another client on top of that the guy was still working on his own client. When he was doing my nails he cut me pretty deep the first time on his filing and I told him I wanted to add color to my nails he got upset I changed the idea when they really didn't ask what I wanted just assumed. Then he went in a second time on filing knowing he cut me and made me bleed. On top of that he left in the middle of his session to buy fish from a person who was selling just got up which is really rude. Their customer service is really bad and super rude will not be going back! read more

The nails turned out nice, but here was my problem with this place. Shawn worked on my 13 yr old daughter's nails and was rude to her. She has a physical disability that prevents her from using her left hand very well, and as a result she sometimes smudges a nail. Shawn didn't try to hide his aggravation about this, and she left feeling really bad about it. Its an observable weakness that he should have clearly seen she couldn't control it. She just wanted to feel normal and have pretty nails, but she was bummed by how annoyed he got with her. I suggest sensitivity training or something. read more

I love this place. I went in for a pedicure/ manicure and had a great relaxing experience. Being at 34 weeks pregnant I can say I was definitely pampered (my hubby even got a pedicure for the first time and loved it!!! ) I would recommend going here and getting the gel bath pedicure, it leaves your feet feeling so smooth. But today is sadly my last ever coming here. This use to be such a friendly place and now it's just full with attitude. I went here for my prom nails and they are so bad. I text the nail salon showing a picture of what I wanted and showed the picture when I arrived and ask for the price. The lady said it would be $50 with the shape. I agreed with that. Then this guy did my nails and I told him what I wanted exactly and every time I told him I wanted them shorter he made a face and rolled his eyes. That's so rude to do to a customer when you're paying for them to do their job. And then when he made them shorter he didn't even fix the shape again. I talked to the lady at the end trying to fix the problem and she was giving attitude and raising her voice. I will never go their again sadly, the owner is the nicest person ever but the workers are rude!! read more

I'm angry with myself for not going back to make him correct them but my hands are a little sore and I'm over it. Lumpy acrylic, polish all over my skin, my hands are sore and the shape sucks. Don't greet you when you walk in except to ask why you're there. Not overly friendly and very hard to understand. Got my eyebrows done and they looked decent. Nothing special about this place. The man that works there also props his bare feet up on the station where women get there nails done. I literally saw a woman get her nails done where he had just had his feet. I love this establishment. They are under new management. The salon is beautiful and clean . This is not your average nail salon. They have effective service there is usually no wait. They offer quality service by far the best service I have received in Jacksonville. The people and service are exceptional I highly recommended everyone try it out. read more
