I'm giving this hidden gem a five star review! My service was great! I went in for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. I ended up getting a $40 deluxe pedicure and a $10 eyebrow wax. The prices are typical of what I would pay in my hometown in Florida. I had no wait and the staff were friendly and polite. The shop was clean! I was able to meet the owner and she was very sweet! She told me that they just remodeled in 2022. I love the decor and how well the salon looks. There's a unisex bathroom as well. Overall, a great experience! read more

Beautiful salon! I had an appointment and did not have to wait when I arrived. I cannot remember the name of my Pedi tech, but she did a great job! My dip mani is also great. Mani Pedi was $80 and there was no discount for paying cash. read more

They renovated and updated! I've had good experiences here. Tony does excellent nails. He is quiet, so if you want to talk, he's not the one for you. His parents are charming, and the techs are friendly and will speak to you if they see you outside the salon. I have a hard time recognizing people with masks on, but they are always kind. They have a great selection of colors, applications, and nail techs. I love the updates. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Completely unprofessional. I got my nails done, never once complained. At the end the nail tech told me, "you're to picky, we will no longer do your nails". I was completely caught off guard. Apparently he was upset because I was looking at my own nails through out the process and that offended him. I've been going here for three years and never once complained about my nails to them. They have a few good nail techs. T and Doris are great! It's unfortunate they have to work with people who are completely unprofessional and steer people away. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and suggest most of you do as well. read more

Me and my daughter went here to get pedicures and eyebrow waxing and I regret stepping foot in this salon. The appearance is nice but the services sucks. The young lady took my da Ugh her back for her eyebrows to be waxed and came back with thin uneven eyebrows, her left eyebrow was missing the end, and the front look like she put dashes in it. When I mentioned these things to her stated that's the way my daughter eyebrows are and tried to dismiss my concerns. While finishing my pedicure I could tell the young doing my pedicure was upset that I was complaining about the eyebrows. At the end of our services I asked the manager to look at her eyebrows and he just stated "I don't do eyebrows". The young lady while helping a customer decides to tell him don't charge me it's only 10 dollars as if I was not trying to pay for the service. I explained to her I was still going to pay but she needed to admit she messed up but she cut me off to mention it was only 10 dollars. I would not recommend anyone to go there because if they mess up they will try and make it appear as if your trying not to pay for service and you can't get any assistance from the owner. Edit: bumped it down two stars just for my most recent visit. i went to get my acrylics off and the technician tore off my nails instead of soaking them off and completely destroyed my nail beds. not to mention it hurt like a mofo. i wanted to maintain the length of my natural nail beneath but he broke 4 of my nails. he used the gel extension stuff to help the worst 2 of my nails but one of them just broke and its only been two days. i'm so very disappointed. I love this place. It's the first salon I went to since moving to Jacksonville from New York, and I'll never go to another. I've gotten acrylics with gel polish and regular gel manicures here and it's always beautiful. The people who work here are kind and talented. Although I do have my favorites, because some of the staff are a bit better than others - but that just might be more of a personal preference than a jab at the nail techs themselves. I would get my nails done by anyone there My boyfriend got his eyebrows done here once too and a pedicure and he thought he was too cute for like two weeks. They really boosted his confidence and it was exciting for him. Now he begs to go every month or so to get his eyebrows done again, lol. read more

Great local place for a mani and pedi! They don't take appointments, so plan accordingly. I went at 11:30 on a Sunday and it was a 45 minute wait for a pedicure. No one is going to greet you until it's your turn, just grab a seat. It was worth it and comparable to my home spa's services. I'll come here the next time I need my nails did, the service is friendly and the prices are fair. Please note that they will be closed from 8/2- 8/16/2021 for some remodeling. read more

I went here after a horrible experience at Regal Nails in the Yopp Walmart. I was a walk-in and they had me seated right away. My nail tech had to remove my polish, and then remove my acrylics. She told me the cost of my visit before she continued, so I knew what I was paying for, just in case I wanted to change my mind. She was very nice and told me she loved her job. She continued being very gentle and precise on my nails. I will not be going to a different salon. I asked for coffin shape and she gave me exactly that and they were perfect. I got gel on top of that and the gel is applied thin (not heavy and uneven) and looks very good. I ended up paying $47 and I am satisfied with the price considering everything I had to get done. Man I'm very sad. I walked in and it was a beautiful place. I came In For a full set and was torn on if I should get this powder dip color or a gel color I was not being rude or anything but the gentleman who was doing my nails got very upset and told me he doesn't do dip on the acrylic nail only on the real nail. He literally told me to go somewhere else even tho I made it very clear that I was fine with getting the gel color. He really told me to go somewhere else I am so confused. And kind of embarrassed to be honest. I suffer from public anxiety and this guy did not make my experience of this place positive or comforting what so ever!! read more

My husband bought me a gift certificate for $80. I went to use it and the cashier accidentally charged my credit card for the entirety instead of just the tip. She asked me if I would be willing to use the GC next time so she didn't have to reverse it. I said ok. Next time I went to use it they refused it and said it was expired. Their mistake cost me $80 and they won't stand behind it. read more

UPDATE: had no chipping or lifting. Salon was busy so I had to wait about 40 minutes to be sat in the chair but that's to be expected with a walk in. But overall it was a good experience. Will post further review in the future regarding how well they hold up in terms of lifting and chipping. read more

I had an older man do my pedicure and it was awful!!! He was so rude and unfriendly. I was very uncomfortable the whole time. He was rough with my feet. When I pointed out the terrible job he did he got even ruder!!! I will never be back that's for sure. read more

Came in to get my Gel nails taken off and just to do regular polish. My toes are alright, but most of the edges weren't painted. My fingernails didn't even last 2 hours. They're all chipped and wavy. Won't be coming back. I feel my nails were rushed, I overpaid for a toe polish change and nails at 28$ to have them last not even 48 hours after getting them. The waves are on ALL 10 fingers and varies in severity, not sure if it's the polish or what the issue was because she had me sit and dry them for over 20 minutes until I finally asked if they were dry or not as she never said anything until I asked. Maybe they do better with Gel nails vs polish???? 2 stars for being open on Sunday. That's it. read more

I went to get a pedicure. I love how they came out looking , although I thought he would do lotion what so but he only used this purple scrub. He was a lil rough cutting my cuticles I kept on moving my feet back a lil so he would know it hurt but he didn't say anything. The place is really nice though. read more

I was traveling from D.C. and needed to get my nails done. I looked at the reviews and it was okey and so, I decided to go. I went in on a saturday spent nearly 3 hours to get a mani and pedi to get my gel nails. My pedi was the worst ever. They took more time massaging then on the actual cleaning. My go to place- kate does ibd liquid gel nails which is hard to find techs to do. Nice atmosphere and she is very thorough. I def recommend this place especially for walkins. I got my fill, waxing and pedicure done today by kate and she was fantastic! Felt like a queen today! read more

This was my first time getting my nails done since moving to nc, I am very picky when it comes to my nails so I was pretty skeptical when seeing so many nail salons out here with horrible reviews. But this place was one of two places that had better reviews than others. Anyways I am happy to say I am very pleased and loving my nails. I walked in, the wait wasn't that long. The nail tech I had was very nice, he listened to how I wanted my nails. He took his time to make sure every nail was even and to both our likings. I appreciated how much effort he put Into my nails. He understood the assignment. And the nail tech who did my cherry design did so good. The heart cherries are so cute. They even stayed open after hours too so I could still get my pedicure. No rush at all ( so patient) It was so worth it at the end of the day. Will most likely be my new favorite place. read more

This is the first nail salon I've been to since moving to Jacksonville a year ago and I was impressed the inside is very clean, and the techs are very smiley and polite. I think it's awesome that they offer any choice of drink with any of the pedicures they offer. I had a new nail tech named Mindy, she just moved here and is trying to build a client base. Since moving to the area a month ago I've been searching for an awesome nail salon. I came here today to try them out and have to say I'm very impressed by how clean and well kept up the salon is. I always came here for acrylic nails and they do a GREAT job! Even when I asked for something different and had to show them a photo I had, the technician did his best to copy it. Great service, but sometimes there can be a wait, never more than 30 mins though. I only stopped coming because I no longer get my nails done, but I would go there again! read more

They are not loyal to their loyal customers. Go in 2 hours before close and they claim they can't do nails or a pedicure (something that takes an hour)but then take someone else who just walked in the door. I will be spending my money elsewhere where they remember their loyal customers. read more

I loved this salon. Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Waited about 30 minutes which isn't bad for a walk-in after 12. Got a full set and a spa pedicure. My nails have grown out but only one nail has chipped polish the others have survived my busy life with no lifting. The tech was the older gentleman, didn't understand a lot of English but he did a great job on my nails. I showed them what I wanted and got exactly what I asked for. Went here on a whim today after work. I used to religiously get my nails done but stopped for a few months to give my natural nails a break. I decided to get a full set today and an eyebrow wax. Immediately after coming in, I was seated and Vivian (who I will be returning to again!) started working on my nails. I like my nails long and pointed and she nailed it, no pun intended lol. Not only was she fast, but she was very good and detail oriented. I got my eyebrows waxed after my nails were finished & was very satisfied with them. The place is very clean and the staff are very nice. I paid $39.00 for a full set and eyebrow wax and it was worth every penny! I will definitely be returning here every two weeks. I signed In and waited 20 minutes for a pedicure and a manicure . Nobody acknowledged me for those 20 minutes until a white family came in and they were seated immediately for a pedicure. When I asked did that customer have an appointment I was told no. Then I was told that it would be a 45 minute wait because I was a man and only women do the man. When asked why I was not acknowledged sooner the person walked off. I will never go there again because obviously they are either not used to servicing men, or black men. read more

I wish I can put a zero star for this place. Worst experience I've ever had. I went there to get a pedicure and fill in. They weren't paying attention and cut my toes twice and after I told them to please be careful they filled my skin it was so painful. Then this guy did my fingernails and didn't do a good job he hurt my pinky and was bleeding and got swollen. They charged me $88 I had the regular pedicure with gel as I was checking out I asked him why so expensive? He told me I charged you $20 for gel idk why I just paid and got out of there because my son was getting fussy. Two days after the gel started to peel off and my nails were breaking so I called them to do a repair because I was just there, so the lady told me to come in at 4. I go there and I told them what color I got and the guy said "we don't have this color anymore " and he just left and walked away so I went to him and asked him do I need to pick a different color? And then he goes it'll be $21 Why am I paying $21 for a repair I was here 2 days ago. Then he came back and said I found your color and started working on my nails. He was so pissed I because I came back. After he finished my nails I was about to walk out, and then he told me have to pay $8. I told him why do I have to pay I was here two days ago, he told me because I made his other customer waiting. I really didn't want to argue with him because he embarrassed me in front of the customers. So I just paid him and left. As I walked out was waiting outside for my husband to come pick me up I noticed The two nails that he worked on were way too big then my right hand, so I told my husband this is not fair he had me pay didn't even do a good job again. I simply walked inside again and asked for a refund then this guy come at me so rude and disrespectful he didn't like it because I told him you didn't do a good job and you made me pay for it which is I didn't mind yeah I come in again I paid and you did a really bad job. He said " NO you came here waste my time" and he was screaming in my face so rude. I told him how do I waste your time and your job is to do nails. So he kept arguing with me doesn't want to refund me or fix my nails again because he didn't do a good job for the second time. So finally he was going to refund me that was two weeks ago and I never got my refund very dishonest. I'd save my money and go somewhere else who cares read more

Nichole was friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted done and made sure they turned out just that way. She took her time and made sure each nail was perfectly filed without any damage to my skin or cuticles like some other nail salons I've been to. The pink ombré coloring is so beautiful and so well blended that I honestly couldn't be happier and will be going back when they need to be filled.

The prices are extremely reasonable, especially with today's economy. I had to edit my review for the fill-in and the pedicure I received. I was shocked at how reasonable the price was for it with that alone. It would definitely be a place I return to great service today. I recommend them The Grand nails salon is going to be my nail home from now on. I recommend them 10/10. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and treated top notch service. Andy is who took care of me today. She is well knowledgeable and so professional in this warm and welcoming environment. The care Andy provided for me today was amazing. I shake really bad sometimes and it makes me nervous about going to places but she worked around me and was so friendly. Makes you feel like a extended family member. I need a fill in and Andy was able to capture the shape of my nails on the first try as well The pedicure I chose was called the signature spa it's so worth the experience and the quality of service they provide here at The Grand Nails Salon. Andy she is amazing go visit her or any of the other employees at the Grand Nails Salon you will be treated to a luxury experience like an extended family member. Tell Andy I said Hi. Some of my nails aren't painted all the way and on some nails the acrylic isnt fully applied.
