    Gnocchi

We had a lovely meal sitting under the holiday lights by the bay when dining at Agua on a not-so busy night in early December. We feasted on a super fresh and creamy Buratta with luscious tomatoes and tangy balsamic vinegar. While the menu has something for everyone from fresh fish to steak and salads, we opted for two of their fresh house made pastas. I enjoyed the pillowy soft gnocchi with a creamy tomato sauce while my wife liked her agnolotti stuffed pasta with beef in a sage and butter sauce. They had a great deal on a brunello wine that was a perfect pairing with our meal. Service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the meal there.

Food was pretty good overall. Had the red snapper dish, white rice was pretty bland fish overall cooked well but had no flavor. Girlfriends vegan ravioli was amazing, also recommend the beef cheek as an appetizer. Ambiance was interesting. Younger crowd and the "housewives" of Cayman appear to be very "gossipy" in their presentation with frequent trips to the bathroom 3-4 times in the hour that we were there...not that it matters at all but you'll know what you're in for. Overall it was sort of an awkward and uncomfortable experience but one I'm glad we made. Waiter was a nice guy.

My friend took me here for my belated birthday and I loved my Agua tuna-- the tuna sliced easily and the flavors were great with aioli around the plate! The potato coquette with ginger was beautifully crisp and crunchy! The bokchoy was a tad hard to cut but worked with the tuna. The presentation of this plate was beautiful and the flavors and textures of this dish were splendid. My drink with dinner was alright, I had the flirtini. Truly enjoyed my creamy and minty dessert cocktail: the Grasshopper! We also started with the burrata which was good. I'm glad we had a bread basket to start out with to supplement the dish because three slices of toasted bread weren't enough for all the tomatoes and cheese! Loved the ambience of the restaurant with the eye pleasing blues! Beatrice took amazing care of us and made some good recommendations. Yummm-- hope you have a tasty experience too!

This is our second visit to this lovely Latin-ish restaurant. Grand Cayman has a lot of expensive yet. Mediocre restaurants. This place delivers. We started out sitting outdoors, but it was a bit too buddy. We were moved into the lovely modernistic restaurant space. The staff were uniformly. Lovely. Cocktails were excellent. They had a really good Barolo available by the glass or by the bottle. We wound up ordering it both ways. The Ceviches and the Vitello tonnato were both on point. The entrees were excellent. My wife's filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The tuna steak was delicious. They managed to put an Affogato together for me for dessert. Coffee and desserts were great. The prices were fair. Highly recommended if you'd like an upscale meal. This makes a good change of pace.

Can't say enough great things about this place. Even on Valentine's Day, they took amazing care of us. Our server, Clark was outstanding. Thank you for everything!

Very expensive and small portions. The setting is upscale as well as moderately small and quiet. Food is not bad. Dessert options are minimal and are very small yet very good. Service is excellent and one of the things that stood out to me was the cleanliness of the restaurant and the bathrooms. If you are interested in New American seafood, this is the best place for you.

Ms. Piper's is right next to the Hampton Inn. The taxi driver recommended it when she dropped me off, and the front desk helped me secure a reservation. I was seated quickly after a pleasant greeting. Even though there were empty tables, the ones that were occupied had smiles and joy on people's faces. The place definitely lives up to its slogan, "share the love" -- I felt it. I started with a cocktail called La Vie en Rose, which was especially fitting since it's one of my favorite songs to sing. My server, Juanjo, was friendly, always smiling, and gave me great recommendations. It was a very relaxing experience. Watching him move around his tables, I noticed he was smiling even while clearing dishes. He moves with vitality and lifts the energy of the whole place. I told him so. The butterfly snapper was beautifully done -- both taste and presentation. The croquettes were tasty with the sauce, and the pepper had just enough spice to remind you it's still a pepper. A good combination. I ended the meal with a cup of rooibos tea. Highly recommended. There are so many dishes to choose from -- and the meal I had was definitely too much for one person!

I hadn't made any reservations for the first night since I didn't know if we would be up for going out. Or at least I thought so until ms pipers called to confirm our reservation. Our family of 5 agreed that everyone was up for dinner out. Ms pipers was a short cab ride from where we were staying on 7 mile beach. The atmosphere itself is super fun and the live music really added to it. We started with drinks (glass of Reisling for me) and a few appetizers. We shared Mediterranean plate and hamachi (yum) appetizers. For our main entrees 2 of my kids ordered the Smashburger and my son and I both ordered the shrimp with sourdough bread. And my husband went with the Korean bbq ribs which were quite delicious from the few bites I enjoyed. The shrimp was also one of my favorite meals in grand cayman. Everyone wanted dessert, but my son was begging to get home for the bears game so we got the dessert crepes to go which were SO good. Highly recommend if visiting grand cayman!

There is live music, at least the Saturday night we were there, lovely background music. As for the food, I have not had a bad bite. It's the Cracked Conch, so you have to try conch. We never eat dessert but tried the apple, it was a beautiful white chocolate green apple, with an apple, cream, crumble filling. Beautiful and tasty! Definitely worth a visit!

But this was worth the cab fare. My family agreed that grand cayman has the best bread baskets and cracked conch was no exception. It was a big basket that disappeared pretty quickly. We started our meal with cracked conch , which we figured had to be good here. I loved conch when visiting the Bahamas and Caribbean growing up but it was the last thing I ate in my teens before getting super seasick on a boat and then my conch days were over. I decided I could give it another shot 30 years later and it was delicious. We also shared a delicious Cesar salad to start - the only type of salad my kids eat so we had a lot of them during our vacay. For my entree I went with the conch chowder and octopus. I ate all the octopus (delish) but that filled me so had just a little bit of the conch chowder which was pretty good. My husband also raved about his mahi mahi. My kids ordered off the "big kids" menu and went with the wagyu beef and frites which they seemed to like. They had been eating seafood all week so this was a nice change for them. Our waiter was very on top of his game and great with the kids- probably because he has 5 of his own. We thought the service was great everywhere in grand cayman and this was no exception. This was our last dinner in GC and I think we saved the best for last

We were pleasantly surprised by their outdoor dining area right on the water and the tarpon swimming along side the deck (fun fact if you have kids, they feed the tarpon at 7:30pm and if you order seafood, you can chuck your bones and leftovers into the water for the fish). Service was quick and friendly. We were seated promptly, orders taken, and food delivered all in reasonable time. We ordered the conch chowder and calamari to start and both were very good. The fried snapper came with escovitch on top (pickled onions and carrots) along with beans and rice, veggies, and plantains. The whole fish was perfectly fried and crisp. The plantains were a surprisingly nice touch of sweetness and the escovitch added some extra flavor to the fish. Kids got the shrimp linguini and fried shrimp which they both liked (and enjoyed tossing the tails in the water for the tarpon to finish off). All of this was chased down by a caybrew bottle. A great meal at a reasonable price in a beautiful spot. Note that this restaurant is close to the cruise port so on port days, it's likely very busy during lunch.

Not sure why they were hesitant. There are tarpons that they feed in the water which was cool. The food was good, probably 4/5 stars. The ceviche was delicious but perhaps a little too sweet for me. I enjoyed the conch soup but it honestly just tasted like a beef soup I did not get conch flavor. The lobster bisque was only okay. The mains were the star, with the fresh catch of the day being perfectly prepared and the sides being on point. Where they really lost me was the service. We got water initially and did not get more until after we got the check. We would have ordered more cocktails or dessert but it just took way too long. Food came out quickly so I don't think it was the kitchen. We had to flag down someone to get the check and then we ended up paying in cash as it took over 15 min for them to come back to let us pay. I would not come back. The food was good but did not make up for the service unfortunately.
