And at least twice a month, I come to Wavemax at this 32nd St & Greenway location to use their 60 lb washers to wash all the dog blankets, pillows and rugs and I also wash all my comforters here too! Been coming here for years, Alex was one of the first employees I got to know, super friendly & helpful! Today I came & used 5 of the 60 lb washers and I mentioned to the attendant, Crystal if anyone ever turned in a laundry card with money on it because I couldn't find mine so I had to buy a new one and load it. She checked the two cards that were turned in, and they were not mine, but she mentioned that she would call the owner to see if they could possibly retrieve the dollar amount on my old card since it was registered in my name, but did not make any guarantees. Within a few minutes, she looked for me and let me know that they are going to put the balance I had on my old card on the new card, which was to me a substantial amount! Crystal is really nice & also helpful. This place is clean, the bathroom can only be opened by an employee and it is very clean and every time I've come the staff are always nice! And I love the fact that it's next-door to a Food city in case you're hungry and want to go get something from their deli! LOL!! If you got a lot to wash and not a lot of time, this is the place to come! Their dryers only take 20 minutes and they dry super excellent! And if your card is registered to your name and phone number, it actually alerts you when a washer and dryer is done! I love it!! We typically get a text saying that the laundry's been finished only a few hours after we dropped it off! It also functions as a laundromat and the prices are affordable if you want to save money and do it yourself. There are plenty of machines, you can purchase soap and other products from a variety of options. There's also a vending machine if you want a sweet treat while you wait! We love that this is a part of our community and we will continue to use their services when laundry stacks up.

I got there around 7am on a Wednesday and there was no one there to assist me in the operation and what the cost is. All I had was a comforter to wash. I picked a large washer and started dropping quarters in until one got stuck. These were from their change machine. No one to help. No one! I even called there number and left message, twice. I took the comforter out of the machine and went to a Wave Laundromat nearby, where they had someone help guide me through the process and it was great! If I ever need to go to a laundromat, Wave has my business!

There are no clear instructions, just someone popping up to correct you. The unsolicited advice quickly turns into raised voices if you're not doing it their way. You feel watched like a hawk the entire time. And for a place with this many rules, it's not even that clean. If you enjoy being micromanaged while washing your clothes, this is the place for you. So often now, communities say they want to help address homelessness but then real solutions are not supported. Social Spin is doing the work and helping people by getting them set up with classes on healthy nutrition, helping them with hygiene and grooming, connecting them to job help and more! I am so impressed that Social Spin exists and is out there doing this very important work for some of our most in need populations.
