~Cannot recommend enough!~ I stuck gold working with Armando and Robert for my home renovation. First off, they were more than flexible working within a tight tight time frame. We had one month to get through all demo and get all new flooring in, and they worked so fast to make sure we could move-in in time. They are some of the best communicators to make sure I was ordering what we needed in time to keep us on schedule, and they provided great direction when my ideas might've not have been the best. I had a bathtub turned into a standing shower. Liked the professionalism and courteous behavior of the guys working from day one. They asked before they had to make changes to something agreed on due to unforeseen circumstances. Took about two weeks, they were safe and wore a mask. That is important due to this pandemic right now. When they left they took all the trash and left everything clean. Blown away y'all! We ordered handmade cement tile from clay imports and I was terrified of anyone touching it since we couldn't get more. I had a few bids, we narrowed it down to one and that contractor was HORRIBLE, we were so kind to him and he was so nasty to us. Then the others were booked for weeks so I took to Yelp and super glad I did. I used the "get estimate" feature on a Sunday night at 10pm. Armando responded almost immediately, out of the handful I messaged only 2 responded with what I needed. Armando was the highest bid BUT I loved his answers to my questions, his questions for me and that I could see pictures of cement tile he had worked with before. (I'll add he may have been the highest of the bids I received from crews I found, but he was much less than the company clay imports recommended.) Installation day arrived and so did the crew, on time and so polite. Armando explained everything they would be doing and how long each step of the process would take. When we ran into issues, him and his crew quickly came up with solutions. I was super impressed with their knowledge, their kindness and their craftsmanship. Since I found Armando Rodriguez of AGN Services on Yelp I figured a review should be in order. Normally I'm suspicious of all five-star reviews, but this service is well deserved. We got three bids from highly rated yelp reviews and Armando's initial bid was the highest. Since we liked him best personality-wise and he lowered his bid, we hired him to repair a wall in a bathroom, re-paint white kitchen cabinets, and paint railing on our front porch as well as the concrete floor on the porch. Armando and his workers Jesus and Martin did a fantastic job. No drips or splatters and they cleaned up the work area without our having to do any further cleaning. The entire project took about a day and a half. Armando has experience in tile work as well as paint and things like drywall repairs. We would definitely hire him again for any future projects on our older home in Austin's Bouldin neighborhood. We especially liked that he let us pay his painter Jesus directly after a mistake we made in paint choice. We accidentally provided flat instead of semi-gloss. So Jesus put on a second coat of semi-gloss the next day and Armando didn't take a cut. He had started another job himself. That's a good way to treat your workers. Btw, I asked what the AGN stands for in his business name - It's the first letters of his name and his two children. read more

I had four contractors come out and give me bids on installing laminate flooring. Armando came in at the highest. I told him I was not going with him he was too high in price but he said he would do it at the price the other contractors had quoted so I decided to hire him. The floors would great! But when I took a closer look I found that he broke the molding under the kitchen sink and left it there and didn't tell me about until I found it. Also he tore off the a section of padding from under the carpet by the living room connecting to my bedroom so now I step on to hard concrete. Didn't even install a carpet transition strip!!! Just left the carpet cut all crooked!!! He told me to install the carpet strip he doesn't do that!!! I didn't want to make a big deal about until I contacted Armando and he had a bad attitude with me telling me that he will get to it when he can. It's been just about a month. And still nothing!! I asked him to please don't forget about it and he responded "No how can i with you constantly reminding me. If it wasn't for his bad attitude and his unprofessionalism, I would have recommended him. Started with a bid request from YELP and proceeded into details of when his crew was available, cost, recommended supplies, etc... The owner is very good about communicating back and forth. I was a bit hesitant and asked for some references. He provided a couple recent ones. I heard back from them and they were very pleased with his work and crew. Now that the job is done (record time in a day and half) I can say this has been one of the best contractors I have dealt with. His prices were very competitive and his crew was professional. They cleaned up not only after the job but kept the work area and the mixing location picked up as well. They used tarps to protect my existing wood floors and you could tell they take pride in their work. I would not hesitate to use AGN for tile work.The job was quickly booked and communication was excellent. I know he prefers to work closer to South Austin but I managed to convince him to come to Steiner Ranch! I couldn't be more pleased with the results. read more

This is a long overdue review. In late January of 2020, I reached out to Armondo about a fireplace surround tile replacement. Being a newbie homeowner, I had no idea how to go about selecting tile, what other materials were needed, turnaround time, etc. He was SO COMMUNICATIVE about where to look for tiles that would work best, other components to get, and gave great advice about what would work best for the project. Very quick with text responses, followed up with phone calls when text didn't suffice his explanation, he even offered to go purchase tiles so he could get a contractor discount for me. (I declined as I was very particular about what I wanted to get and purchased it on my own. Picky, even.) The day of the install, I got updates on the progress as it was being done while I was at wok, as he wanted to make sure I was pleased with the layout prior to being grouted onto the fireplace surround, cuttings of the stone picked out for the hearth, etc. It was just wonderful when it was done and I was pleased as punch. Almost a year later, it's one of my favorite parts of the house and we are constantly complimented on it. Hired this company to lay tile on the floor of a kitchen/dining room. They did a great job of cutting and laying and spacing the tile. However, when it came to grouting they left grout on the tiles and did not seal the seams properly. When I called to ask if they could come back and correct the problem they explained there were very busy and after three calls I gave up and got someone else to take care of their problem. read more

Hired AGN to do a complete remodel of my bathroom. The tile work was outstanding, that's why I give it 2 stars. However the baseboards were loose, the the sink drain was falling out, the tile was scratched, and to top it off, the wall light is loose and close to falling out of the wall. I say this on the past tense because I ended up fixing the problems myself. I do recommend agn for tile, but only tile. read more

We were looking to get our carpet replaced on our stairs to the 2nd floor and the office area and hallways as well. i contacted a couple other folks that were recommended and they no-showed on us. i found Armando through our NextDoor app as i wanted to go with someone from the neighborhood to help and to keep them honest. Word of mouth is the best advertising. He recommended we look at Vinyl flooring as that would work better on 2nd floor and stairs. We took his advise and found the style we wanted. His quote was very reasonable that i asked him to include painting the stairway walls and 2nd floor. In total the quote was reasonable - he even helped on the pricing to re-paint the doors.
