Service was over the top by the manager and the server Andy. We were exhausted from a three day trade show and literally stopped at the first place on our short walk from the convention center. They offered gluten free options. We started with a gluten free chicken bbq flatbread less the red onions and it was an excellent appetizer. Probably big enough for a lunch! Followed by a house salad and then a bolognese sauce with a rotini gluten free noodle. Tasty! For not being an official Italian restaurant and in a doubletree hotel it was enjoyable. read more

I went to Agio Ristorante as a celebratory dinner, and while the service was great the food and ambiance was mediocre. We got dinner at around 8:15 and there was NO ONE there. On the plus side, the servers were very kind and attentive making sure we had the best experience possible. I ordered the Romano Flatbread and even though there was no one there it still took a decent amount of time. The flatbread was extremely mediocre though with there being mountain loads of cheese and no sauce. The salami, pepperoni, and sausage were absolutely delicious though. Thankfully, the flatbread crust itself was really crispy and airy. OVERALL, for Agio's exorbitant price and mediocre food I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you live in the hotel it's in. read more

Ambiance is good. Buffet looks presentable. The best things I had was the eggs, sausage, fruit, and my own custom parfait with the granola, a cup of the fit and light blueberry yogurt, and honey. My food was fine. It was good even. Service was a little slow but we went in when they had just opened. The main issue that knocks them down two stars, is that it seems they don't keep up with the expiration of their food. My boyfriend was lucky to spot mold in a pastry before he ate it. And when I went to pick out a yogurt, the first one I grabbed was expired over a week. I luckily found the blueberry one that had 5 days left. All in all it tastes good but be weary that they may not be attentive to the food age. read more

I ordered room service and it was delivered very quickly. I got a Caesar salad, which is very large. If somebody was looking for a meal if you got the Caesar salad and got chicken with it, you'd be full. I also ordered the nachos and probably not the best idea to get for room service as they were soggy from the guacamole and the sour cream. We were skeptical about eating here after a recent experience at another hotel restaurant it were pleasantly surprised. The checkin was cooked perfectly and beefy flavorful and there was a ton of asparagus, but the polenta was not creamy as the menu suggests. The pasta was plain on its own but the tomatoes and olives gave it flavor. They don't have a kids menu (or at least didn't give us one) but kindly made a grilled cheese with a side soup. It was getting late, harbor Blvd was getting busy with people leaving Disneyland. My husband recommended the restaurant at our hotel, I was skeptical at first since some hotel restaurants aren't always the best. Well I was wrong We shared a charcuterie board, I ordered a Caesar salad, my husband got the mushroom risotto and my mom spaghetti bolognese. After spending the day at California Adventure, we headed back to the double tree hotel to enjoy dinner at the Agio. We went early in the evening when they first opened and were seated right away. My girlfriend and I decided to split the caprese salad as an appetizer, which came with 6 total pieces of tomato, mozzarella, and basil, with a balsamic glaze drizzled on top. It was very fresh, tasty, and a nice way to start the meal. My grandma wasn't hungry, so she ordered the petite salad as her main, and said it was really fresh and tasty as well! For the other mains, we got the Tuscany chicken, the spaghetti bolognese, and the fettuccine Alfredo. The tuscany chicken was okay, a little flavorless, and you can taste a lot of butter that it was probably cooked in. The fettuccine Alfredo was okay as well, nothing really to right home about. Out of the 3 mains, I think the spaghetti bolognese was the best, as it was a nice meat sauced served over spaghetti. Simple and done right. I'm willing to try this place again in the future when I'm back in the area! read more

For dinner my gf had the Romano flatbread which had sausage, pepperoni, capicola, marinara and mozzarella. She absolutely loved it. It was very tasty and flavorful. I had the NY steak (10oz) with mashed potatoes, garlic spinach with tomato sauce. The steak and veggies were full of flavors. Unfortunately the piece of steak was not a good cut of meat. Came by for breakfast the other day while staying at DoubleTree Suites Anaheim Convention Center. Restaurant is located on the main level of the 4 diamond resort. Hilton Honors Gold and above members can get a voucher that can be used towards the buffet or the All American Breakfast cooked-to-order breakfast. Started out with the Orange Juice which was surprisingly decent, and appropriately priced for tourists at $5. Moved on to the Eggs Benedict which was decent. The hash browns were fresh and tasty. The eggs were well poached and the hollondaise sauce was decent. Service was okay by the waitstaff and the wait for food was on the longer side... So I had the pleasure of having lunch here two days in a row. I had training in one of the ballrooms and this is most convenient! On my first lunch here, the theme of the day was Mexican. I had the steak which was well seasoned and was cooked well. The rice, beans, salads, chips and salsa were great. The dessert was also very good. Second lunch was not as good as the Mexican one. I had roast chicken and though the sides were good, the dessert was a bit disappointing. The servers are very efficient and were going around the room non-stop refilling drink orders and clearing up plates. Overall, Agio Ristorante is a very safe and pretty good dining choice in the area. It is the best choice if you're in the hotel for the day and need a very convenient, and good, place to eat. read more

We stayed at this Doubletree for a work conference and ate dinner here one night and breakfast each morning. Dinner was pretty good and the breakfast buffet was good every day. The service was excellent every time we were there - overall a good choice if you're staying at that hotel. read more

The Agio Ristorante is housed in the lobby level of the Doubletree Guest Suites in Anaheim. Having to crunch some numbers on my laptop for a work-related report I was too lazy to journey out into the hot, humid tourist areas so I stayed inside my hotel for lunch instead. Although the restaurant was fairly inactive during the lull between breakfast time and lunch time the large staff seemed to be in a zombie-like mode walking around doing very little of anything while I stood near the restaurant entrance waiting to be acknowledged and to get a table. Somebody finally noticed, and I was led to a table where I was seated next to a large window. The rays of the sun were shining brightly and the trajectory through the glass hit my laptop screen square on. So much for trying to get a little work done during my lunch. Since my mind was preoccupied by my work I didn't notice the restaurant's interior. That's rare for a detail-oriented person such as myself. When I reached down to put my laptop back into my bag I did notice how dirty the finely packed carpet was. I shook my head in disbelief as to how a pricey hotel restaurant could just leave food particles sprinkled throughout the floor. While she moved in a snail-like manner my waitress was very nice in demeanor. She brought me ice water and a glass of soft drink as I had requested. I kept my order simple by going with a soup and salad selection. A basket of hot, toasted French bread arrived on my table accompanied by two rectangles of soft creamery butter accented by a single leaf of basil (http://static.px.yelp.com/bphoto/yc-C4YJFOC-_gowyutJhVA/l). The bread was very good being hot and crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. What kills a soup quicker than any ingredient? If you're thinking salt you're right on! Whoever over-salted the broth should have left some of the salt for the chicken. The only plus during this visit was probably the fact that my waitress refilled my soft drink three and a half times. Anaheim, CA. This is where I dine when attending concerts hosted by the NAM convention. If you are on a schedule like we are on that night, request outside seats and you will get a table immediately. It's not bad , really, as there are plenty of heaters. To speed things up even more, do the buffet, it is delicious. I especially liked the salmon, and the short ribs. On one occasion I had small filets. All really good. Try the pan roasted veggies. All the desserts are nice but my favorite is this small cup of orange chocolate and other layered orange flavor bursting ingredients. Would be five stars except the price of $35 for buffet seems a bit high, but for the convenience it is worth it. The waitstaff including the hostesses, are all very friendly and helpful. We had several meals here as it was conveniently located in the hotel where we were staying for the labor day weekend. Dinner the first night was delicious. I ordered the salmon & hubby ordered the bacon wrapped pork medallions with mashed potatoes. The menu was a little pricey for a family of 5 but the costs were offset by their kids eat free promotion (1 free kids meal w/the purchase of an adult entree). We also ordered room service for lunch the second day of our stay and had the caesar salad, chicken alfredo pasta, the chicken caprese sandwich w/garlic fries, and the triple club sandwich w/fruit. We were pretty satisfied with everything we had. On our final day, we enjoyed a very nice & filling breakfast. They had a breakfast buffet bar which was well worth the price for all the variety of options that you got. You could even place an order for eggs made your way if you didn't want the scrambled eggs from the buffet. I was looking for a dinner close to my hotel while traveling for work. This was close, and the menu online looked pretty good. But, it was terrible. Was in Anaheim for the Natural Products Expo West and headed to dinner with a great crew of folks. For the most part, the food was quite good. We had two issues, one with an appetizer where the sesame seeds on the seared tuna had soured and one on a pasta dish one of our party ordered that ended up being too tarty. The Manager apologized, looked in the matter, and found out that indeed the pasta dish had been cooked in a pan that had been previously used to cook something with lemon in it. After apologizing profusely, our party was comped a large dessert assortment of yummy goodnes and the Manager made sure we were happy with everything else... all around we felt that this gesture of good faith salvaged what could have been a very negative experience. Creative menu, well-prepared food, and attentive but not intrusive service make for a wonderful dining experience. I had an appetizer of prosciutto, Italian farmer cheese, and tomatoes, garnished with pesto and balsamic vinegar. Superb! Second course was pork medallions wrapped in bacon, over garlic mashed potatoes with creamed corn and barbecue sauce. Hotel restaurant offering mostly Italian fare, this review is only based on the breakfast. The restaurant itself is nice, low lighting and dark colors. It's in the lobby of the Doubletree Suites Anaheim and fits the hotel well. My friend and I had breakfast one morning on the way to our convention and enjoyed the food. He opted for the buffet, which was available at a good price. I was less hungry, so just tried the oatmeal. It was presented beautifully in a nice skewed bowl with an assortment of sides- cream, dried bananas, cranberries, brown sugar, etc. I enjoyed it. Service was very slow, despite not being busy and seemingly having plenty of people working. Cost was lower than expected. We ate here three days while attending a conference nearby. I wasn't going to review because these hotel restaurants are all the same...not so! The buffet was well above average. They had all of the normal breakfast foods, an omelet station and a special each day. The specials included breakfast biscuits and on our last day, home made corned beef hash. The hash was awesome! What really makes this place stand out is the staff. Unlike most Hilton buffets which are notoriously understaffed, Agio had plenty of servers. They were attentive and very friendly. They really seem to enjoy their job. I'd definitely visit here again. read more

Tucked away in the left corner of the Doubletree Suites lobby is Agio. It was slow with traffic and the lights were dim, which is just what we needed after a full and exhausting day at Disneyland. Although their music taste was interesting, they still managed to provide a relaxing atmosphere with a friendly and attentive staff. I was craving baby back ribs, and glad I didn't opt for the usual chain restaurant deal. This was the best plate that we had ordered, amongst the chicken wings appetizer and veggie pasta. The ribs were cooked to perfection, with flavor that was locked into the meat (unlike those slapped on sauces). The staff was most importantly very kind, which will keep this restaurant top of mind when I come back to Anaheim. read more

I've eaten here twice so far during my stay and plan to go back tonight. The food is delicious but a bit pricey. I got the vegetable pasta dish the first night and it was amazing. I got the ribeye last night which was pretty good but very expensive. Probably wouldn't get it again with the steak house right next door and all. The staff is friendly and there's free bread always a plus in my book. I highly recommend the restaurant if you're staying here. A decent hotel restaurant. We weren't particularly overwhelmed by the dinner menu, but we did find a couple of nice options. I had the PEI mussels (nice, but a few dead ones - why weren't they pulled from my bowl?), and hubby had pork tenderloin (a bit dry) on a bed of potatoes. Not bad -- just not stellar. But, after a long day of travel, or a day at Disney, a nice quiet, seated dinner alternative to delivered pizza or Carl's Jr. Service was decent -- we seemed to have 2 or 3 different waiters -- different guys would show up to take our drink order, food order, dessert order, check on us, etc. But, the FoH manager was always around and did a great job of filing in the blanks -- keeping drinks refilled, checking on food, etc. Nice job by the manager, but makes me wonder why the wait staff needed that much help when the restaurant was not particularly busy on a Saturday evening (maybe 10 - 15 tables full). I stayed at this hotel for a number of days and was able to eat here quite a few nights... Chicken cacciatore, veal piccata, mashed potatoes, rosemary potatoes, prime rib... Let's just you could smell the calamari when they walked out of the kitchen. BAD fish smell. Eh, tried it anyhow as I normally have a cast iron stomach. 4 hours later I was throwing up in my room... I will say the service was good though. Burger was 4/10 stars. Breakfast buffet, we are going to IHOP or Dennys tomorrow. Leaving it at that.
