If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased a Groupon for the lipotropic injections and B-12 shots. First, due to the popularity of the Groupon, it was difficult to get in. That's not necessarily their fault, but they need to recognize how many people sign up and be fully staffed for that. Then, when I got there, they tried to push their other products on me. Well, I expect that, but when I say no, that's the end of it! Then, someone wearing a nurse's gown took me in the back after I finished my paperwork. I had purchased (I believe) 20 injections. But the lady told me that it really is 10 shots, because what they sold on Groupon were half doses, and in order for that to be effective, I had to take a double dose each time. Oooookkkkaaaayyyyy.... So I told them to go ahead and give me the double dose. Then they bring in the first dose and explain to me the shot is to be given in the leg. I said ok. Then they told me to pay attention because I have to administer my own shots. What???!!! Maybe if I was a diabetic, I would be used to this, but I'm not. I watched them do it, they
N I asked her if I could get all my shots and go, since they do absolutely nothing. They said sure- it'll cost you $80 to take the shots with me. Huh? I didn't get it. Why do I have to come in week after week if they aren't going to administer the shots? So I said no thanks. I made my next appointment and left.
I was exercising and dieting before the shots, and I continued to do so while I went back and forth for my shots. Each time, there was someone who didn't speak very much English, who clearly was not a medical professional, give me my needles and watch me as I inserted the needles into my skin and did my own shots. I felt like they were some creepy voyeurs, and it was unnecessary to waste my time coming in for the shots. I tried to ask a few questions that were medically related but 1) they don't generally understand enough English to give a coherent answer, 2) they don't understand English enough to understand what you're asking, and 3) they aren't medical professionals! Which is why they make you sign something that says if you have a medical reaction or emergency, they aren't responsible. You'd better bring a friend!
I saw no changes after doing this for several weeks. I completed it because I paid for it on groupon, but I'd never do it again. I urge anyone with a groupon thinking of doing this- DON'T. I didn't find them particularly professional. They may say it wasn't effective because I didn't pay for the very expensive amino acid shot. Here's the thing- it needs to be explained in the groupon that you'll need to purchase it then. They need to explain if you don't, it is ineffective. If that's the case, the groupon isn't worth it anyway.
I also saw (I think) that they offer colonics. It's clear from the ad it's a do it yourself colonic, and they are there simply to assist when necessary. If that's the case, I urge anyone thinking about getting a colonic from them to STAY AWAY! Under no circumstance should you EVER have to assist the person who gives the colonic. You might as well stay T mome, use Vaseline to grease up your anus, and sit on a garden hose! Sorry for the visual, but really- a colonic should be done by professionals who know what they're doing who can administer the colonic as you lay on your side. A colonic is in no way a do it yourself experience!
Please do not go here. Personally, I would urge anyone doing the shots to save their money and don't do it. You're better off paying for hydroxycut and exercising! Or look for some other gimmick out there that is at least medically supervised. This is NOT the place for any human with half their senses and a modicum of information about exercise and fitness.
